Ginyami was admiring some brand name clothes while shopping at a mall when he caught sight of a familiar face. At first he couldn't recall from where, but after a few seconds of contemplating, he remembered where he'd seen the young man's face before. He was a model in a few of the magazines Ginyami subscribed to.
Curious and wondering what such a person might have been doing out and about at a public mall, the narrow-eyed 25-year-old watched him, keeping his distance while trying to be inconspicuous, but also wondering if he might be able to determine what he was doing there without having to ask directly.
If he could glean enough information about the guy before he even met him, he hoped to use that information toward his advantage. Ginyami enjoyed making connections in any way he could, particularly potentially profitable ones, and if he could befriend a model of that brand of clothing, who knew what benefits he could have reaped from it?

He may be on a budget, but he'd never sacrifice quality clothes despite it. It was part of his job, not to mention an integral part of his lifestyle. He wouldn't be caught dead walking in ugly, cheap clothes. He wouldn't know who was watching after all. Some may think he's getting too ahead of himself. It's not like he was some major celebrity model. Or walking on runways and such. He was far too short for that after all. But his style at the very least, wont suffer despite the height deficiency. It was all he could do as a small model after all. Though he didn't have fans recognizing him left and right, he'd like to think that he had enough awareness to know he was being watched. Might be from his years of consistent thirst for attention. As he liked to say, any attention is good attention. This sort of attention, though he wasn't too sure about yet. He merely watched from the corner of his eyes, but he was certain a man was watching him. He wasn't a total stranger at being looked at, but at a mall? In a clothing store? He expected this sort of thing to happen at clubs or cafe's. Keping his tone leveled enough so the stranger could clearly hear, he said " You know, you could take a picture. It'll last longer" his tone a mild amusement as his gaze flickered from the clothing rack to the guy. Choosing to take a proper good look at him. Well... at least he didn't look like a total creep. Yet.

At being called out, Ginyami's brows rose. He hadn't expected to be found out; at least not so soon. Most people were too immersed in themselves and their thoughts to notice their surroundings and what was going on around them. But he supposed he should have suspected that a model - someone who was stared at for a living - would recognized when they were being watched. Putting on his default polite, cheerful smile, Ginyami approached holding up a palm in greeting.
"Sorry about that," he apologized. "I was wondering why you seemed so familiar to me and where I had seen you before. You wouldn't happen to be a magazine model, would you?" He tillted his head, regarding the young man curiously once he got closer. "Oh...are you Japanese as well?"

Hanako ' Hana' Tone └── •✿• ──┘ At the very least, the guy didn't try to run away. Or else that genuinely would've freaked Hanako out even just a little bit. Instead the man admitted he was staring and greeted Hanako politely. " Apology is pending" He joked playfully light, tilting his head. " Afraid the only way to proceed into approval is if you give me your name~" Hanako assessed him probably just as much as the other did. The only thing Hanako could really say about him is that he seemed like the sort of guy old people would trust with their savings account. " Ah, are you a fashion magazine person?" he crossed his arms, " Those were usually the shoots that I do. And yes, I am. Well- kinda. Quite a whitewashed one, I'm afraid. Born and raised here. What about you? A tourist? "

Ginyami blinked before chuckling lightly at the young man's 'condition' for his apology to be approved. "Ah, yes, where are my manners? Ginyami Midorimori," he said, holding out his hand. "But please, call me Yami."
Funny; they seemed to be around the same age by the look of him.
"A little," Ginyami admitted with a soft breath of amusement. "You do well in that profession. As for being whitewashed...one could argue that's preferrable to being considered 'fresh off the boat'. Or plane, I suppose it would be in my case."
He chuckled quietly. "You must be quite used to things here. My fiancé and I are still getting used to the states since we've only been here a few months. We arrived back in May from Japan, you see, but we're legitimate residents of Destiny City, now."

" Hah, okay then apology accepted~. Pleasure to meet you, Yami~. Unsure if the magazine you read made my name really obvious. Most models don't get evidently credited, but in case they didn't- Hanako Tone. But please, call me Hana" he says, mimicking Yami's earlier words. " Fiancee..? lucky guy" he compliments not without a soft defeated voice with flirty undertones. " Welcome to Destiny City~ Though I suppose you're bored of hearing that by now. Lots of things can happen in 3 months. Must be quite the culture shock, all the way from Japan and all. What brings you here? Work? You speak english pretty well for someone who's only been in the states for a few months"

"Hana? Very well; it's an honor and pleasure to meet you, Hana," Ginyami said, bowing as he continued to smile. But then his smile wavered.
"'Lucky guy'?" he repeated, tilting his head as his smile turned slightly quizzical. "How did you know my fiancé was a man?"
He waved a hand. "Not at all! Thank you for the warm welcome. But yes, you're right, it is quite the culture shock. Especially for my poor partner who hadn't really travelled too far from home before then." Ginyami chuckled softly.
"Why, thank you. I'm a businessman, as I was even back in Japan, so I'd done business with people from the United States before. English was an essential language to learn when dealing with international business partners, so it was imperative that I become fluent in it. I've been speaking it since I was in school, you see."
He cocked his head at Hanako. "And you? Do you happen to speak or understand any Japanese, or no?"

" Hm well I do now since you answered like that" Hanako shrugged, " Lucky guess~? I don't mind being corrected, but it looks like there's no correction needed?"
" Ah.. that makes sense then. Good to know then. Im sure your partner feels a lot more secure having at least one person whos more familiar with the states and it's language."
" Eh.." shakes head, " Only a couple of words, I'm afraid. But even then I don't use it anymore. Not really needed in my line of work. "
" So.. you coming just to say hi to a model? Would you like an autographhh or a picture orr-? " playfull.

"You made an assumption, first, though," Ginyami pointed out, his grin turning sly. "Most people would assume that they were a woman, not a man." Then he laughed. "Do I seem gay to you?"
"Yes...I do hope so," he said, his brow furrowing slightly with concern but the rest of his features broadcasting fondness simultaneously. "Not that he doesn't know English himself."
Ginyami nodded in acknowledgement of Hanako's statement regarding Japanese not really being needed in his line of work. "Understandable."
He smiled more broadly at Hanako's playful questions. "Are you offering...?" Then he paused.
"I wonder...do you do modelling often? Because, you know...I can't imagine it pays enough to have a steady income to live off of alone if you're only doing magazines where they don't even give you much credit. However...I know a few people who might be able to assist you in starting an exciting new career if you're interested." He smirked. "How are you with singing?"
