Umen 1
It was well it was cold. He started a fire inside for the first time in many months and watched as Rista prepared herself to bake bread as another attempt to keep the place warm with a deliscious side effect. He was so proud of her for being so clever and it showed in their kdis as well they were bright little guppies. Though Ultear was more of a shark even he must say, everyone else was slowly catching up but Ultear was still blazing the way. He was also watchful over his younger siblings which Umen greatly appreciated. Undine was proving to be spicey too. Ustasis was sweet and Izel well..was Izel. Rorim it seemed was still a bit up in the air as it were. He was so proud of their clan and grateful they had at least one daughter to keep them on the straight and kilter. He loved seeing her latest art piece usually of the beach and nature. It always moved his heart.
"I think it is going to snow Rista, what do we do?" There really wasn't anywhere to go and he dreaded the thought of the main ranch with all of those outdoorsy types all cooped up after settling the animals, yeah he was not going there that was for sure.

She cleaned her hands of dough and looked over to where Umen was. "I don't think I want to go anywhere if it is going to be doing anything as foolish as that. Like as not it will melt quick but I am no longer used to the cold, I say we stay inside and do fun things to keep ourselves occupied. I could teach you to knit or to card wool and stuff. We could play one of those board games you and the kids are always raving about, we could oh! We could have tea or read or do well any number of things besides go outside in that mess."
She had been grateful when her Daddy Isolder had adopted her out of Zena it had been cold there too! Yuck. She much preferred this decadent palm tree lifestyle.
"You don't think the weather finally followed me down do you?" She asked mildly nervous about his answer. "Cuz where would we move then?" She hitched up the cowl on her tunic making herself look like an old woman and crouching just the right amount.
