what video game you have played do you think is the hardest?

Ecco the Dolphin; I believe the version my friend had was for Sega CD.

The reason I chose this is because both my bff (who owned the game) and I were seasoned video game enthusiasts in the early '90s when this was released and we could not figure it out *at all*. All we could do was go up to other dolphins and have them communicate that we were 'not of their pod'. Between the two of us we owned almost every home video game system released in the US to that point, and had played (or at least tried) every large-box video arcade game we came across going back to the days of Pong. And we could do *nothing* with Ecco. We would have chalked it up to a glitch but the game seemed to run perfectly fine. It was an extremely frustrating experience. Hours and hours I'll never get back.
