I've learned about different issues facing modern car owners and theft. This video combines some of them in one place. The presenter explains things well imho.

This is exactly why I'll never have a car newer than 2010, tbqh. These newer cars are just rolling computers & back in 2020 when I was in school for automotive tech, one of my classes literally taught us how to "hack" into a car in case a customer brought us one they couldn't get into. Nooo thank you~

I totally hear ya. I have a 1997 Oldsmobile (about 75K miles) and I plan to keep it until it dies. My wife and daughter have Toyota Prius(es) and OMG are they a total arse pain when the starter battery dies. Everything in the car is electronic and with no battery juice I can't even shift them into neutral for a tow! There are many reasons I won't own a modern car.

What I really want is a fully mechanical car I can work on myself. I took 2 years of Auto Mechanics in high school and I used to be do a lot of my own maintenance. I've been considering buying an early '60s Studebaker for a few years since the smaller models get reasonable gas mileage and it's fairly easy to get parts.

90's cars are the besssstttt omg heart You can keep them running basically forever! I hear you abt the Prius, I'm a Toyota stan & I personally do not acknowledge the EVs whatsoever bc I believe there's no such thing as a modern EV that is designed to actually work long term.Ford had fully electric & hemp powered cars in the 50s/60s that worked swimmingly but the ones we have now are completely different for the sake of Capitali$m scream
