Rabbit Pet:
Pros: quiet, you can litter box train them (their poop easy to clean up coco puffs and their pee isn't super smelly like a cats), they are extra soft and love pets (softer than a cat), you don't have to bathe them, you don't have to walk them, binkies and teeth purrs and super cute!
Cons: they chew on things (wires included, you will need to install wire protectors), vets cost more, they eat hay all day (so you will get hay on your floors), most rabbits don't like to be picked up so you will have to get down on the floor to pet them or train them to jump on the sofa, they got lonely so if you get one you have to get two pretty much (not a big difference really, and it makes them happy, but you will have to bond train them if they aren't already, like siblings), they shouldn't really be kept with other pets like dogs/cats/guinea pigs
I know that con list is longer than the pros but the pros really outweigh the cons, for me, I just think rabbits are the cutest animalS ever, and I love them so much!
Tips/Advice:
-Rabbits shouldn't be kept outside for their safety, they can go outside for short periods for exercise with supervision, but rabbits are indoor pets. If you litter box train your rabbit (recommended) you can let them free room in your home, but it's important to rabbit proof your house first, I recommend removing things from bottom shelves, so the rabbit isn't tempted to chew on books or documents.
-Oxbow rabbit food/hay/treats is top quality and is the brad recommended by vets for rabbits. Rabbit should not be feed alfalfa hay as adults, or it will make them fat even if they love it.
-Be sure to research what veggies/herbs/fruits are safe for rabbits and which are not before giving it to them.
