Hi everyone. I disappeared for a while, again. Sorry, I was RPing for a little while (just started, really) and then dipped out.
To be honest, I've not been great. Sorry to be a bummer - just saying what's been going on...
I had been looking after my 76 year old mum and clearing her/my late stepdad's home of 25 years worth of furniture and just STUFF when my mum began to feel unwell. Long story short: I got fired from my job because I called in sick too many times. First it was me, but then it was my mum. Then a few days before Christmas we were told by Dr (after Xray etc) she has developed cancer again. Now we are waiting for the results of her full CT scan, to see the full extent/spread of the cancer...
This is the first time I've logged on to Gaia in ages. Just spending this evening, passing some time, listening to music and ignoring real life troubles for a while...

I am so sorry for all that you are going through. Any one of those things would be tough to deal with but all three at once would really throw you into a tailspin. I understand how tough it is to take care of parents. My Father died of cancer two years ago. We had to move my parents out of their condo and in to a senior community then my Father was moved into Hospice. last year my Mother in law passed away from a stroke and at the same time my Mother needed to be moved to assisted living. so we had two apartments to clear out and a funeral to plan. Hang in there. You will get through this. Remember to take some time for yourself to get away from it all. I am here if you need to talk
