Callidora started at the greeting. She had completely missed the bells on the door chiming. Turning so that she could see who was there, she spied a tea cup starting to spin on one of the displays. Greeting a customer with a wide eyed stare was not the best first impression, but that is what the visitor got. It took Callidora a few seconds to regain her composure, such as it was, and greet her with a warm if somewhat harried smile. “Welcome! I am Callidora. Please do forgive the mess. It is not usually so…disorganized…” She trailed off a little as she looked around. Behind her the shelves of spices began to reorganize themselves again.
“I’m afraid that a personalized pot of tea may be out of the question at the moment. Something is…” She gave a helpless shrug not knowing how to explain. Callidora had no idea what was happening. “Anyway. We have some lovely pre-made blends that you could try?” That came out more as a question than a statement despite her best efforts to seem competent. Bustling over to the fire sprite she began to heat some water. “Samples can be sniffed just there,” she continued pointing to the left front of the counter and starting to feel more in control of things. What ever was causing the…issue…would not get the best of her. “Let me know if any appeal.”
Another tea cup started to levitate behind the head of the visitor. Callidora stared at it in alarm.
