Redwall by Brian Jaques is my happy place. It's a series of 22 books. Some of them I haven't read, but I am on book # 8 I believe. It's written for 5th graders, so anyone can read it. Each are stand alone stories, but there is an order if you choose to go by that. In publication order, there are familiar characters in each book. There is also a mascot/hero talked about in each book. One book is his story. It's a good v evil story with woodland creatures found in England. It's my happy place. I love it because Adventure and Bravery is the name of the game in there. There is fondness and affection but no romance. It's seriously so cute. I think everyone should read it. Sadly, they are hard to find, but they are on AO3. And used book stores. It has real friendship, comoradery and just plain goodness to it.

I would recommend the romance series Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole.
It features a lot of new takes on many classic mythical creatures, and tosses in several most don't consider for these sorts of tales, like the Valkyrie. She lets her immortals be immortals. They behead, they claw, rip, slice, etc. And the other parts of it are quite worth it too.
There are currently... nineteen stories in the series.

Then I add Lords of the Underworld series to my suggestion. Similar to the other one listed, but they often take things a bit further on all fronts.

I found and read both the books in the Ghosts of Gotham saga by Craig Schaefer.
Its about witches and the like in modern times. Also the greek gods and legends are around as well.

I reread Fire Punch.
I don't recommend it to those who can't just immediately accept that's how that world is.
But also it's a little gruesome in the beginning.

My current RP partner suggested this and so far it's been very entertaining with lots of great reviews: The Princess of Dorsa
The title sounds campy, but reviews say it's pretty much a f/f Game of Thrones
It's a 3 book series and my copy comes in on Wednesday~ heart Can't wait to dive into this one!
