I know I have been talking a lot about the churches Thyatira, Smyrna, Ephesus, Sardis, etc. and intend to finish that series.

I also know that we're encountering Christmas that is coming up in a matter of days!

What I wanted to remind everyone is not to lose your focus. It's easy to get wrapped (no pun intended xp ) up in buying the best gifts for those we love and care about. It's easy to get lost in the boxes, bags, and bows and ignore the one who gives us the money to make it all possible - God.

It's easy to put God on the backburner planning and attending the Christmas parties and family gatherings - trying to make it all perfect.

We also need to make sure to pause and give a moment of our day to God. Be sure to keep prayer and daily devotion to Him before the other things.

Matthew 6:33 NIV:

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:24 NIV:

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Colossians 2:6-7 NIV:

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
