Hi guys. I was wondering, does anybody else here have trouble forming habits, specifically relating to fitting God into your daily lives? I get distracted very easily with daily things and I rarely remember to pray during the day until I'm lying in bed and about to go to sleep. I also constantly forget to read my bible sweatdrop
Do any of you have trouble with this? And if you do, how do you manage these things?

I definitely have a difficult time. I used to have the nail in the coffin, y'know?

About 8 years ago or so, I had my routine down. I would wake up, get a shower, and then hop back in bed and have a Bible read for about an hour. After my Bible read and prayer, I'd get up and grab something small to eat, and then I'd do chores for about 1-3 hours while my husband was at work. Then, I'd have a few hours of downtime to be on Gaia and stuff xd and then start cooking dinner about 30-60 minutes before my husband got home.

Then, we had been through a lot of moves to different places, dealing with stupid drama from toxic people, and then we eventually had our first child and a few years later a second child. When we had kids and life happening, I had lost my routine.

While I'm of course not on a perfect routine, here are some good ideas to deal with this:

1.Some mom's get up in the morning before their kids and do (or perhaps a person that goes to work in the morning) a Bible read for about 10 minutes - 1 hour depending on the time, reading goal, or wherever the spirit leads you. This way, it becomes a daily routine to wake up at that time and read the Bible. Morning Bible reads are more efficient since it's before your mind is cluttered with all the to-do's of the day, but I rarely get up early enough to do this. I'm always so tired >_<

2.Download a Bible app such as YouVersion - it has the audio option for those that prefer it or need it, but also has numerous sermons to choose from and The Holy Bible in many different versions. You can pull out your phone and read this on a break at work or in a bathroom stall when you're hiding from the world, whichever you prefer razz or if you're waiting for the movie to start at the cinema.

3.At night when the kid's are in bed, I just visit a devotional website like intouch.org or bethany.com and read the 5 minute devotional.

4.Another way to get in some study time is writing your own sermon on a topic. Like when I write the Bible studies for the sub-forum, that gets me diving into all sorts of stuff xd but it makes memorizing Bible verses easier for me or where to find them since for me, my learning style is writing it down as I am more likely to remember the information and retain it.

5.On Livingwaters.com, he often says "you don't read - you don't eat." So his tactic is to read the Bible before eating any breakfast. The "no read - no feed method". That would help most people remember, I would think xd

I hope you find one that works for you! It's not always easy in this world.
