tab [::] General Description [::]
tab Skyeveil, one of the longest-standing human kingdoms on the continent. The first men of the nation were sailors who settled the lands and built an agreement with the Hammerfist Dwarves at Kal'Vhos, now a land in turmoil as the Hammerfist Gate stands shut and their cooperation with their strongest allies came to tatters.
Following the Purging Night in Kullamaz, the Kings of Skyeveil have grown ever more reclusive and the kingdom has been more and more withdrawn from the rest of the world, with their border towns holding the brunt of their trade policies.
Built upon sandy shores and verdant fields; The Kingdom of Skyeveil, at large, is a wonder unto itself. With its Capitol settled in the Hightower City, the royal keep, Aerie Hall, built high upon a sandstone pillar in the city's core and surrounded by the Azure Garrison, home to the Knights Azure, the elite guardians of the Royal Family. Under the watchful gaze of the Ducal family of [ ⟛ ] and the Earl [ ⦀ ] the Royal City is kept in general peace.

tab [::] Governance [::]
tab Skyeveil is a Traditional Monarchy; The Monarchy dispenses law and dispatches the Royal Army to enforce where necessary, but leaves regional matters to the appropriate Gentry. This has, at times, caused ire when border towns and the further reaches enacted policies in contravention to the King's more xenophobic nature.

tab [::] Architecture [::]
tab Homes in the Royal City are largely built in the Tudor Revival Style; with the base floor sunk two feet into the ground to provide cooling in the heat swamped summers and easier warmth against the biting sea winds and the mountainous downdrafts in winter.
High Iron sculptures through the town squares and wind vanes are common items of note; with many attributed to historical import. Battles of yore, historical figures, religious iconography.
By an act of the crown all common roads must be paved, for the safety of the common man and the quick travel of Crown Agents from City to City. This investment is rare among other lands, outside of their cities, or even within some of their smaller towns; and is entirely the burden of the nobles whose domain reigns over the lesser towns. Cobbles and pavers are the order of the day.
