Have you lost someone? I am sorry. You can post about it here. I am happy to listen and give you my support.
If you would like a thread which is like an online card from the AMG family we can happily make that for you. Just message or post it here.

Grief is personal, and effects may vary depending on the situation. But most people don't treat it as such. Usually, support is very brief, and expectations turn from "it will get better with time" to "Get over it and move on" very quickly. Grief doesn't always work that way and for some may take years to accept.

5 stages of Grief
denial
anger
barganing
depression
acceptance

Coping
- Remember pain does not go away easily and may resurface on occasion
- Know that not everyone will understand how you are feeling
- there may be some volitile reactions
- Don't suffer alone
- Seek out support from those who are genuine in their care and concern
- Don't minimalize the situation
- Seek out positive, constructive ways to express your feelings
- Recognize that your grief may not be the same as someone elses
- Give yourself time to grieve
- Don't set a time limit as to when you are supposed to feel better

Losing the guild members, especially Esme, who I knew better, was so sad. I wish I had known the other guild member as well. Esme was so sweet & I still miss her!
We also lost our 4 year old grandson in a 4 wheeler accident 5 yrs ago & it was devestating. His father is an alcoholic & this was after work & he had been drinking & took him for a ride without a helmet or anything like he had many times before. Somehow, he lost control of the 4 wheeler & it flipped & our grandson was thrown off & killed instantly. I've been through a lot of loss in my life & done pretty well with grief until this. But God has helped us through & we're dealing with it better as time goes on.

Hello, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your precious grandson. That must have been so hard on the entire family. There would be no way to get through a loss like that except with Gods help. I am so sorry mistymountaingirl. heart

I am so sorry to hear you lost your Grandson. It is always harder when it is a senseless, preventable death. I recently lost my niece in a bicycle accident. She was hit from behind and pushed into oncoming traffic. the very next week my Mother in Law had a stroke and passed. Everyone grieves in their own way. I throw myself in to work. If you ever need to talk I am always available. heart

Thanks, mama bear! Yes, it was senseless & sudden & he was so young so all of that made it extra tough but the worst is behind us now, thankfully. You never get over it but you learn to live with it. If I didn't believe I would see him again in heaven, I don't think I could handle it. I had a heart attack & almost left this world 6 wks after he left us so I think it was broken heart syndrome.
I'm so sorry about your niece! That's horrible! And your mother in law right afterwards! Good grief. Those are tough times. I'm here for you too, if you ever need to talk & I appreciate your offer.

Thank you, angelic snow angel. It was pretty bad. Our daughter & her husband ended up divorcing, although their marriage was already shaky, because of his drinking & all the lying & cheating that went with it. Him causing the death of their son was the final straw. Plus, the police wanted to bring him up on charges. It was 10 kinds of a mess but the Lord brought us through it & we continue to put our trust in Him. I want to have a "nevertheless" kind of faith - the kind that holds no matter what. Trying to grow towards that. smile

Oh my gosh. Take care of your self. Stress can be a killer. Luckily I have great support and lots of people to talk to. Just like you, the tough part is over. We are planning her memorial which is on the eighth.
