and I figured that I would share! ^_^

Life hasn't been easy this month or the past year and a half for that matter...I know a lot of people lately have been through a lot of grief, loss, and hard times. Many are feeling discouraged and hopeless.

Within the past year I've been in and out of the hospital twice. Spent weeks after trying to recover and get back on my feet, trying to keep up with doctor's appointments all over again and just being home so much instead of out doing the things I would like. I've gotten bitter at that and my outlook hasn't been so great. I get upset that not that many people are reaching out to see how they can help, but only a select few. Not that I always accept the help, but the gesture shows that there are at least a few people that care. It has led me to start avoiding people more.

Well, the kids really wanted to go to the kid's program at another church tonight and so my husband and I stayed for the sermon. There was a few verses I hadn't thought about in a long time:

Philippians 4:4-9 NIV:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.



It's hard in this life not to be anxious. Some people have severe anxiety, and others get anxiety from time to time. We get to a point where we worry and our minds keep going over it again and again instead of doing something about it because we are so concerned. A lot of us get worked up when things get difficult in life. We may even have a fear or a phobia or something that may or may not stand in the way of our every day life.

We do have the power, though, to take everything to the Lord in prayer. We can have a chat with God, doesn't have to be fancy or formal - we can talk to Him like a friend. Let him know what's on your heart and try to give all your problems to Him because He cares for you.

We need to put the positive things on our minds - what is true, noble, right/just, pure, lovely, admirable - these are the things we should be thinking about and putting into our hearts. It's something that comes with practice, we won't become experts over night and at times it's easier said than done.

Anyway, it's something that spoke to me tonight. I hope you all have enjoyed the read 3nodding

How are you feeling? I am sorry your not getting offers for help.


I am feeling quite a bit better today biggrin Saturday I wasn't so great again - had a bit of a health scare, but I didn't end up in the hospital so that's a plus!

Someone from church did offer to come help cut down the weeds in our yard that we desperately needed to get done. It was so nice to them to come do. I appreciate it so much. Hopefully that will mean less mosquitoes and I don't have to worry about not seeing snakes or scorpions on the ground as much now - especially with the kids. This family has been pretty worried about us and also gave us some other groceries so it has helped a lot.

My dad offered to get anything if we needed while he had his days off from work, but by the time I realized we had forgotten to order/buy something we needed, he had started his busy work week again.

Getting to a better place slowly, but still have a lot of challenges.
