Pardon any hiccups, this is an experimental style of sale This is a CYOA flatsale to win one of 2 available seeds! ^Pale seed is male / Blue seed is female^ A new prompt will be posted every 2 days (48-hours, maybe a little longer if Lural forgets) after the prompt is posted, RP your child reacting to the prompt. It will mostly be them alone, so please do not include the child meeting another character; the child is on their own. Rules:ANYONE may enter (except staff) You must write at least 2 paragraphs (Roughly 150-200 words) per prompt per entry. You can write more if you're inspired. Do not 'meet' anyone in your responses, this is all basically solo writing - this means you aren't going to see "extra genome" around. Assume everyone is participating, or sleeping, and you will not encounter/see anyone else. We are a small group (See front page for proof) You will have 48 hours to post your reply after each prompt Try not to break anything xd There will be a total of 3 prompts, meaning this will take roughly 6 days/1 week The seeds are 50K plat If you win, you have 48 hours to pay before you forfeit the seed. Payments are to be sent to the mule, Operator One Winners will be decided based on the way they portray the characters If you have any questions, please quote Lural in the main thread

You are writing this for the child you're entering for, like a solo. When writing your reply, please post which choice you're writing for. Next prompt will be Friday, July 16 @ 11AM PST, 2PM EST (8 PM for Sen) Prompt 1:The adults have organized a sort of scavenger hunt, citing it as a mock rescue mission. "One of our crew members is lost, please find them and bring them back." It's a way to help you become familiar with the ship and the area within the safety of the dome, as well as a test of self sufficiency. You have only yourself to rely on for this mission! This 'crew member' can be anywhere within the dome. In the ship, in the forest, by the lake. It is up to you to find them! The first place you decide to look is: Area A: In the ship. The most likely places to explore would be the lounge, the training rooms, the labs, sickbay, or the kitchen/mess hall. You can explore as many of those areas you like (and can write about, but you must explore at least one). You can't go into anyone's private quarters, as those are off limits and locked, and you cannot explore Mother's chambers for safety reasons. Area B: In the fields outside the ship. There's a new garden, and you wonder if they are there gardening, or maybe sneaking a snack. The field is wide open, and you can see pretty far, but there are lots of places to hide, either behind rocks and bushes, or the debris from the crash. You can even check out behind the ship. "Area A: The Ship" Fulgur
The adults had orchestrated a little "game." Fulgur did not like games. However, it was a simulation of a possible scenario, which seemed rather practical. He did not complain. The objective of was to find a missing crewmate. "Crew" suggested that the person was an adult, so that narrowed down the possibilities. Fulgur nodded to himself. To be certain that every place had been searched, Fulgur decided to check every available space, and spread out as he went. It would be exhaustive, but they were given no clues so he felt he had no better choice.
"Okay," he psyched himself up a little. Time to start. The first place he should look was the ship. The areas available to the search were: "lounge, the training rooms, the labs, sickbay, or the kitchen/mess hall."
He started with the lounge. He peeked in to find an empty room. A deck of cards sat on one table. On another, someone had left a tablet. He went over to the tablet and found it in a sleep mode, so he left it alone. The coffee pot was on, with steaming coffee of an unknown age in its carafe. Next to it the sink was empty, with already dried dishes on a drying rack off to one side. The one Fulgur was looking for was definitely not here. One room down.
The next place listed was the training rooms, but they were not located on this floor. Deck 04 included the lounge and there were some personal quarters. Since he was not allowed to search in any of the latter, he headed for the elevator and down to Deck 03. There, the training rooms were waiting for him to appear. There were two training rooms, and together they equaled approximately the size of the library, which interestingly was not on the list to search. So he left that and went to Training Room I. It was vacant. He looked into Training Room II and found that it had a hologram program running. He peeked in and watched as a hologram went through a series of attacks, parries, and defenses in a fighting routine. It was interesting to watch, but he had a mission. He quietly made his way back into the hallway. There were only personal quarters here, now, so he returned to the elevator and pressed the button for Deck 02.
Most of Deck 02's personal quarters were vacant, as were the labs. They all were essentially the same. Cabinets and tables lined the walls. Upon their surfaces were burners, scales, and other devices. The counters included a sink at every station, and a special faucet for washing out the eye. It bothered Fulgur that something so specialized should need to be there. In the drawers of the cabinets were various tools such as dissection kits and supplies like goggles and gloves. Fulgur also noticed the presence of first aid kits and fire extinguishers at every station. Unnerving! Six labs were searched, and six labs did not include the person he needed to find. On to Deck 01.
A quick look revealed that nothing here was searchable. Personal quarters, Mother's chamber, the ships cores, and growth chambers, all were off limits. He returned to the elevator.
Deck 00. Kitchen, sickbay, and mess hall were all present. This was a place where people would be most prevalent. This assumption happened to be false today. He headed for the kitchen first to get that out of the way. He was allowed inside, but it really was a dangerous place. Cooking could be done by anyone, though. He followed the edge of the room, where like the labs sinks and cabinets were placed. There were stations with stovetops, ovens, cutting boards, and sheer table space to work. But no one here right now. Fulgur nodded his head and headed back into the hallway. Next door was sickbay. He went inside. Immediately he noticed that the temperature had dropped and the room was more than silent. It was weird. He looked at each of the beds and found no one, which honestly was a relief. Fulgur backed out of the room and calmly strode across the hallway to the mess hall.
Inside, tables were empty except for an empty tray. He returned it to a stack of them off to one side. Thinking about lunch made his stomach churn. Fulgur pointedly ignored the feeling and wove his way between the tables. No one here, and none who needed saving. Drat. But that brought him to the ship's main entrance, and the outside world beyond. He wondered if he would be asked to look outdoors next.

"Area B: Outside" Wright
Outside, Wright had two places she could look: by the lake and the forest. The first place she looked however, which seemed to her like an obvious enough choice, was the area around the ship. There was no one hiding beneath a panel or wing. But there was the garden, and it offered some places to hide. A plant whose harvest was its seeds, had huge leaves and a beautiful single flower or flowers that came in bunches, in other words, two different varieties. Both versions of this plant were taller than a man at times, so a group of these could hide someone no problem. Listening to pollenating insects buzzing around the flowers, she searched around them but moved on. There were tall fruiting plants as well. Some were well over her head. They too were checked without luck. She ran her fingers through the grassy grains as she skipped down the rows.
When she emerged she looked around, wondering what to do next. She wandered up to a berry bush and started picking berries. She tossed a handful in her mouth. She had been wanting to taste these since she heard about the garden. She loved berries. These were as delicious as she had hoped. Slightly tart but with sweet flavor.

Character: Emrys Prompt Choice: A Prompt Response: Emrys listened very carefully as the adults described the mission at hand. This was very serious business! Someone was out there lost! What if they were out there injured somewhere? ...Though there was also the possibility they had just snuck off to grab a snack or something. But Emrys still understood the importance of this ‘scavenger hunt’ of sorts. Getting to know the ship and the land’s layout would be beneficial. After all, he spent most of his time in the sickbay, the kitchen, or the outdoors. He hadn’t really explored the rest of the ship before. He hadn’t found it necessary at the time.
Also, finding the lost crew member could be tricky. It wasn’t just a matter of exploration. But also he was looking for a specific individual. It would be best to get their details before any of the other adults wandered off. But as Emrys looked around the room, he noticed everyone who had been in charge had mysteriously disappeared from view. How inconvenient! He pouted a bit. Now alone, he would have to decide where he would go first to begin this search and rescue mission.
Well if the goal was to explore areas he wasn’t familiar with, there was no point in going to the sickbay. He spent the majority of his time there. The smell of a sterile room lined with hospital beds, the bright lights, tables covered in shiny surgical tools and other equipment, cabinets with first aid kits and clean linens; They were all things he was used to and had seen countless times before.
There also probably wasn’t much point in going to the Kitchen either. He knew where that was as well, having likened cooking to the process of alchemy. They were very similar. And the kitchen even had its own cauldron! Though it was for cooking soups, not for alchemy purposes; which in his opinion was unfortunate. That cauldron would be the perfect size after all!
Hmm. If he was going to be successful in finding this missing person he would have to think hard. Where else could he look? And how would he find them? He didn’t know who they were or what they looked like. He furrowed his brow, concentrating hard on all the possibilities. Going outside probably wouldn’t do any good either. He had spent lots of time gathering synthesis-quality items in the area around the ship. Even though he was just starting out. He still had dreams!
As he walked along, he noticed a sign for the Training Hall. “Combat...practice?” He whispered. And it was as though a lightbulb had gone off in his head! He knew that in the future he’d have to do some sparring. But at the moment he’d never really found a use for such a thing; despite fighting being something that genomes had been born for in the past. But if he really wanted to be able to go further, and find rare items, he would eventually have to fight monsters. Why hadn’t he considered that before?! He felt so stupid! He would have to investigate! It was the perfect opportunity to learn something new and get familiarized with this area of the ship. So he followed the signs, finally coming to a large room lined with sparring equipment.
“Hellooo!” he called out. “Is there anybody here?” He looked around, but didn’t see anyone. “They’re...not here…” Wait! Maybe he shouldn’t yell. What if they snuck away?! He was a tad disappointed though that no one seemed to be present. “Well I should probably take a closer look just in case!” He wasn’t going to give up that easily!
After circling the large room countless times, he became curious about some of items that were lying around. He picked up a wooden staff. It was something similar to what a monk might use to fight. He wondered if he could ever learn to use something like that. He was tempted to swing it around a few times, but he paused for a brief moment. He had to remind himself why he was here in the first place. The missing person! He looked around one final time. Emrys was pretty convinced he was here by himself though. That was too bad. If he had found this person, maybe he would have been praised!

Area B
Sapphire stared at her desk trying to decide what to take with her on this mock mission. In the end she grabbed her sketchbook, a pencil, and a small booklet about basic field first aid. Belongings in hand she headed outside the ship.
Standing just outside the entrance she looked around. No obvious signs of any missing crew member but she wasn't surprised by this. The adults wouldn't have made things that easy. After a bit of thought she decided the garden was a good place to start her search.
Upon reaching the garden she froze. The sun was hitting it in such a way as to make the garden appear to glow. Stepping back until she had a view of the entire garden she sat down, placed the booklet aside and flipped her sketchbook open to a blank page. She started to draw, occasionally glancing over to the garden as she worked completely forgetting about the mission.
Hours later when she was finally satisfied with the drawing she closed the sketchbook and stood up. Picking up the booklet she had set next to herself before she started drawing she bit back a curse as the title reminded her why she was out here in the first place. Clearly no one was in the garden so she headed off to look elsewhere.

Area A:
Lillian was one who wanted to explore new places, she had decided that her first stop would be the top most Deck and she would work her way down. She walked down the hallway of the deck looking around to see if there were any signs that a lost crew member was around but her observations turned up negative. So, the lost crew member was not hiding behind a corner of the hallway so the other places that they would potential be would be on this particular deck was the lounge.
She walked down the hallway to where the lounge was located and walked into the lounge area looking around. She didn't see any signs that the missing crew member was located here. She walked deeper into the lounge checking behind potential places they could hide behind but to no aval. She shook her head to herself and made her way back out into the hallway and towards the closest elevator to check another deck.

Character: Muse Prompt Choice: B Prompt Response: Muse tried to pay close attention as the adults talked about finding a certain lost individual. She definitely wanted to help! And the idea of it being a mock mission just made it even more exciting! That was almost like a real mission! Well maybe not quite, but she was convinced this would be fun, and a real learning experience. But where should she start? She hummed a little tune as she skipped along. She hadn’t even thought to ask who she was looking for. It hadn’t even crossed her mind. By the time she had decided what location she would search first, she had already found herself somewhere else entirely.
“Well...this isn’t the sickbay,” she mused, with a light laugh. She was now outside standing in the new garden. How a person could confuse indoors with outdoors was quite...remarkable. But somehow she had decided this is where fate had brought her, so she would definitely have a look around.
The bright sun was high in the sky. Only a few sparse clouds rolled by. It was a warm sunny day, perfect for taking a walk. Muse decided she would be sure to enjoy herself as much as possible on this mission. After all, it was perfect weather. But glancing around she didn’t see anyone of note. In fact….. There wasn’t ANYBODY here. “How odd,” she remarked, as she strolled through an area where some vegetables had been planted. She followed the path under a wooden archway covered in vines that bore fruit to a smaller area with a shade tree.
A sudden noise from the nearby tree broke her concentration; which honestly is not something that’s all that hard to do. “Huh?” A chittering sound could be heard from the branches that stretched above her head. She walked closer, immediately curious to what could be making such a noise. Gazing upward, she could just make out a small shadow moving through the leaves. “Hello there!” she called out, waving at the small creature. “Fine day for a stroll isn’t it?” she asked. It was perfectly normal for her to have a conversation with an animal. In fact, she most likely thought that if you couldn’t hold a conversation with a critter you just met, there was probably something wrong with you.
So, mission forgotten, the rest of the afternoon was spent discussing her favorite pastimes with tree squirrels and other animals she met in the garden. Not a bad way to spend the day in her opinion. Today was very productive! She had even come up with a few ideas for stories. Now if only she could remember why she had come out here to begin with. She was supposed to be doing something important right? She tilted her head to the side, as she stopped to rest on a few stacked wooden crates that had been used for gathering produce. Stifling a lazy yawn, she tried her best to stay awake. Why was she here again?
After a while of deep thought, she recalled something. The word ‘lost’ came to mind, and it all came back to her. Her train of thought was now back on track. For how long? Who could tell? But she had a renewed sense of determination. She wanted to impress her superiors too after all. That would really be a memorable achievement!
She got up from her seat, and began exploring more of the garden, eventually finding herself in a less organized area. There was quite a bit of rubble. Maybe from the ship’s landing? She wasn’t sure. “Perhaps I’ll find that person here. It IS kind of a neat area to inspire a story! Maybe they like to write stories too!” She was getting a bit excited at the thought of someone with similar interests being in the area. If she discovered their location she’d probably talk their ear off. So at this point, maybe it was best if they weren’t found.
It didn’t take her long to get distracted again though. Pretty soon she found herself digging through scraps of metal, bits and pieces of rock, and lots of dirt. It was fascinating, the things buried here. But it also proved to be a difficult task without a shovel. After a while she was getting sweaty and tired. She flopped on the ground, deciding to take a short break.

Character: Felix Choice: Area A
So....a mock rescue mission to find a 'missing' crew member? It was certainly an interesting way to teach them all something and Felix felt that taking it seriously was the best approach. After all, if they didn't treat it seriously then how were they going to learn anything? Or expect to take a legitimate situation like this seriously? There were options....a lot of options....for them to have gone; time to think about the most likely!
Inside of the ship was more....condensed and had limited places to go, though plenty of places that were accessible to hide in. Outside of the ship had a lot of places to hide, as well, but was more open and spread out; that could take a lot longer. Process of elimination was one way to do it and Felix could start inside of the ship to make it easier on himself? There he goes again; Felix's eyes were glancing up, darting back and forth while mumbling under his breath and his fingers rapping against his cheek. The boy's feet started moving of their own accord as he continued to try and work through his thoughts. Maybe he should start with the labs? They could be hiding in one of the cabinets...but what about the sickbay? Similar situation. The lounge was too open...and did the training rooms have more storage space someone could hide in?
Felix hadn't realized that he'd actually GONE anywhere till he bumped into the doorway, which snapped him out of his mental reverie with a jolt of pain. "OW! What the-?" He blinked as he actually got a look at where his feet had taken him; the mess hall. Of course! What better place to start than where someone could potentially hide out for an extended period because there were food supplies around? With a confident grin, Felix headed straight for the kitchen to search first before anywhere else. With any luck the missing crew member had left behind some crumbs of evidence (and maybe left enough behind so he could have a snack. No sense searching on an empty stomach, after all!)

Character: Oriana Choice: Area B
Oh dear...what a delightful exercise! Granted it was basically a glorified game of hide-and-seek but it could still prove to be quite enjoyable. Oriana had seen much of the ship that was permissible (as had most others, no doubt) and it didn't make as much sense to her if the missing crew member was to hide within it, due to that same familiarity. Time to enjoy the outdoors!
It really was a lovely day, wasn't it? Nice and warm, bright sunshine, no breeze to be detected yet.....which made it a bit hot, didn't it? Oh well, still lovely.~ Oriana stepped out with a smile on her face and just inhaled the fresh air deeply, taking in the sweet scents of the nature that surrounded them within the dome. It all smelled so fresh and nice; it made her just want to dance! Silently, as though there were music only she could hear, Oriana began to sway and twirl about slowly with a strangely peaceful joy. One might have thought she completely forgot about their little mission but those eyes weren't wandering aimlessly; scanning her surroundings carefully, comparing what she saw now to what she had already memorized from prior short strolls, searching for even the slightest differences that could give her a clue as to where their query had gone.
Hmm....disturbances in the dirt and grass; footprints perhaps? There were quite a few but which ones were the freshest? There were some that were heading behind the ship, which was somewhat unusual. It was as good a place as any to start; small skips and twirls took Oriana down the same path and, while her eyes seemed to peer about at nothing in particular, they were ever vigilant for signs that could give her a solid direction.

You are writing this for the child you're entering for, like a solo. When writing your reply, please post which choice you're writing for. Next prompt will be Sunday, July 18 @ 11AM PST, 2PM EST (8 PM for Sen) Prompt 2:You have thoroughly checked the area, but you can't seem to find this mysterious crewman anywhere. After a short breather, it's time to move on! IF YOU PICKED AREA A:Players: After searching the ship to no avail, you head outside. You decide the best places to look are: Area C: There are some rocky foothills around behind the ship. There are lots of ledges to climb, and scraggly brushes here and there, no really deep or significant caves, but definitely a few that are large enough for a person to hide in, and just a heck of a lot of places you can hide in general. It might take you a wile to reach the top, but you'll have a great view from up there. Area D: The forest is massive, but you think there are more places to hide in the northern part of the forest. It gets a lot of shade from the ship, and several trees had fallen when the ship crashed. There are a lot of hollow logs someone could have crawled into, and tall trees to climb. There is nothing poisonous in the area, but you might get a stomach ache if you try to eat some of the mushrooms, so it's not advised.

But now where do you look? Area E: It always looked like the southern part of the forest was mostly untouched from the ship's crash landing, so there are surely natural places to hide, and it got a nice breeze coming off the lake. You know there are some small animals that have made dens under some trees, and maybe the larger trees could have a human-sized den? Don't rule out hiding in the bushes, or even climbing up into the treetops. Area F: The area behind the ship is pretty rocky, and leads up to the foothills that are in the dome. There are a lot of places someone could hide as they climbed the cliffs. There are shallow caves and cracks that someone could be hiding in, and rocky outcroppings. A really crafty genome might even hide in one of the shallow cracks, and try to cover it with some of the scraggly shrubs and plants so you won't notice it. Smart!

Area E
After failing to find anyone in the field Sapphire headed towards the southern part of the forest. 'Maybe the missing crew member was hiding somewhere in there,' she thought to herself as she walked. Finding something of a path she slowly wondered down it looking for any signs of someone having passed through recently.
Spotting something that looked out of place she kneeled down next to a bush but it was only a tuft of fur from one of the animals living there. Flipping open her sketchbook she made a quick sketch of the fur and the near-by paw prints for use in identifying the animal later then continued on her quest.
The farther she walked the more often she paused to sketch. A flower here, a leaf that might actually be a herb there. Pretty soon she was sitting on a fallen tree truck deep in the forest engrossed in drawing all the unknown plants around her in case any would be of use to the settlement.

Character: Felix Choice: Area D
Well, looking in the ship was a bust. At least the kitchen provided snacks, which Felix pocketed a few of and brought with him to munch on as he looked through the rest of the accessible areas of the ship in his vain attempt to find the missing crew member. His failure to find them was a huge disappointment that had him feeling a bit down. He thought his intuition was on to something....though maybe it was just telling him that he was hungry. Sometimes he didnt pay attention to his basic needs when he was getting into something. Since the inside was fruitless that left the outside...and everything contained within the dome. Fantastic.
Felix stepped out with a quiet grumble as he stuffed his face with a ration wafer, glumly wondering where the most logical place was to start and growing more discouraged with the options. There were too many! A glance to the forest, however, made him ponder; it was dense and shaded enough to hide in....there were trees of various heights and sizes...not to mention possible burrows and hollowed spaces. Actually, now that he thought about it, the forest was the perfect place for someone to hide...so much so that his feet were already taking him there before he even finished his thought. As he strolled past the northern end of the treeline, Felix was momentarily overwhelmed by the sheer view and realizing just how many options within the forest alone there were. Just as he was getting discouraged again, he was struck with an idea; a vantage point! He needed a vantage point from above! The boy started moving quickly as he kept his gaze upwards, trying to find the best climbable tree he could use. It couldn't be too high or he wouldn't be able to see past the canopy of intermingling branches, which would have made the whole idea pointless.
He finally found a good tree and, with another piece of ration stuffed in his mouth, carefully climbed his way up till he was just starting to get into the thicker branch covering. His eyes scanned carefully around him but he couldn't quite see very well...perhaps he needed to be further out? Felix's gaze was drawn to a particular branch; it looked decently thick and extended out farther than where he currently was, which would provide an excellent view of the tree canopy and the forest floor! He could keep an eye out for movement or find signs that something genome-sized had gone a specific direction! With his spirit further bolstered, he carefully made his way to the branch and crawled slowly along it till he was close to where it began to thin out, pausing to look around. It was a nice view on its own...but no, he had to focus! His eyes scanned along the trees for a bit, then down at the forest floor to see if he could see any movement....any sign....brush shoved aside or parted, even broken twigs would help him. As he leaned from one side to the other it didn't occur to him how far the branch was starting to bow until he suddenly felt it jerk downward, which caused him to cling to the branch in a startled panic. "...Oh...cra-AAAH!"
The branch snapped and down the boy tumbled to the forest floor, surprisingly landing on a rather cushy pile of leaves and mossy detritus...which probably saved him from breaking something, to be honest. Felix slowly sat up and brushed the leaves and sticks out of his hair while the disorientation died down, momentarily miffed till he noticed he was close to a rather large, hollowed-out fallen tree. Someone could definitely hide in there, no question. His search continues!
