Evie is Elliot's twin sister who had gone missing recently. She'd always been kinda odd and reclusive and was believed to experience auditory hallucinations throughout her entire life, namely in the form of "singing." Despite being nearly polar opposites, Evie and Elliot were always very close, though Evie was kinda of co-dependent on Elliot. When Elliot left home, Evie's behavior become increasingly strange, until she disappeared.
Evie is a rare instance of someone born as a Type 1. This is due to her twin brother being exposed to one of Miracidia's parasitic spores, turning him into a Type 2. Though she was unaffected by the spores, it still left an imprint of sorts on her, classifying her as a Type 1.

Isaak is a deceptively normal person, or at least he tries to be. Though he's aware he isn't quite human, he hasn't been told the full extent of where he came from.
His mother Janet was once part of a cult that revered a demonic force known as the Aspect of Vanity, or the Beast of a Thousand Faces, and was one of many selected to produce lesser instances of itself. His mother, having been pressured into joining the cult in her late teens, was always a little weary of them, but remained due to the cult being the only form of friends and family she had. It wasn't until her early 20s that she begin to try and distance herself from them, though this would prove much more difficult than she anticipated. Appeasing the Aspect of Vanity was, at its core, helping it project itself into other things - both living and inanimate. One such way, by means of flesh, was for it to sire offspring that would carry on its likeness in some shape or form.
Once it was discovered Janet sought to leave, she was then, in an attempt to bar her escape, chosen to be the vessel of one of its thousand likenesses. To be chosen was considered the greatest honor, despite the fact that her mind had already been made up and she could not be convinced to stay - at least, on her own volition. Try as they might, she could not be forced to stay. Even after she left, she was not entirely free of the Aspect's influence.
Maybe it was out of guilt, obligation, or motherly love, even, but about a year after her departure, she would go on to have her son Isaak - one the many likenesses of the Beast of a Thousand Faces.
It was never a secret to Isaak that he wasn't entirely human, but his mother was always tight-lipped about any further detail. From birth, special procedures had been put in place to keep Isaak from developing demonic powers and other further likenesses to his sire. This would continue to be performed in the form of "medication" that he would regularly take at the cost of his health.
Isaak grew up a sickly, but high-spirted boy that was eager to please. His mother, despite caring for him, was emotionally distant, which further exacerbated his need to please. He always had the feeling that she didn't particularly want to be around him - or look at him for longer than she needed to. Their relationship could best be described as lukewarm; it wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't healthy, either. He found that she tended to be warmer when he looked less like himself, with any of the few demonic traits present were hidden away.
Isaak had left home at 18 and in lieu of college, he meandered around taking odd jobs wherever he ended up. It wasn't until about two years ago that he stumbled upon Beacon and had remained there since. Having been employed at the general store, he had recently been thrown into a managerial position after the last manager quit on the spot and a more suitable replacement had yet to be found.
Though woefully underqualified, he was better than nothing. Right?
