Sorry if this is the wrong place. I thought we used to have a Hobbies subforum but maybe I made that up... lol
Does anyone here have/collect doll houses and miniatures?
I don't have my own photos to share right now, but I have here the exact same 70s Lundby doll house (plus the extension/basement floor - but not that garage floor level [unfortunately!])
And I have this exact same 1960's GeeBees doll house with tin window frames. (I got it not long ago, for £10! smile )
I also have some Sylvanian Families figures and furniture and Sainsburys shop and a big house but I sold the house, because I was running out of room and I prefer my older doll houses...
I know there are not that expensive, but after I have saved some money at my new job, I am going to buy some rements, like so: here.
If you have any doll house or (made your own, perhaps!) please show your pics. :3

I don't have any of my own, but my Gran had kept the ones from when my aunt and mom were growing up. I used to play with them all the time. I, for some reason, loved the old smell to them. The colors were so pleasing to they eye. I loved them. But she got rid of them when I got too old to play with dolls and she doesn't have any great grandchildren to hang on to them for.

I have a metal dollhouse that my grandparents gave me, but it's at my mom's. I'll try to take pictures of it next time I'm over there. It was originally given to my mom and her siblings when they were kids, and I ended up with it because I'm the youngest grandchild who lived locally.
Other than that, all my dollhouse experience has been with Barbies. I have a large collection of Barbie accessories, and I always loved them. My mom loves miniatures too, which is why she bought me so many of them. XD

Oh, okay! smile
Thank you! I haven't had my doll house for just over a year because I left it at my parent's house but since we've moved into our own house we have space now - so I brought them here. smile I am not buying anymore, though. I really won't have anymore space in the living room...I guess I can understand that. I like the smell of old books, myself! 3nodding It's a shame they didn't stay in the family. Were they home-made doll houses, do you know?Cool! Completey metal/tin? I think those are collectible, certainly rarer anyway. I would be interested to see pictures, if you could take some. I never had a Barbie house. Most of my toys were second hand. I was so excited when my mum bought me a Barbie camper van though. That's cool your mum likes miniatures too. I wish mine did. smile

No, they were store bought. I can remember the colors and they were about 2 or 3 stories. I did have one of those barbie dream houses from the 90s though for the longest. Then my mom sold it in a yard sale sad I acutally make candles and I have one that smells like old books.

I was actually able to find pictures on Google! biggrin https://imgur.com/a/EYPoJkNThe exterior of the one my mom has is identical to the first picture, and the interior is the same as the others. I was talking with my mom about it, and apparently they're not worth very much because they were so common. Still really cool though. I used to love playing with it, and I wish I had room in my apartment for it. At my old place I would put my Transformers Kreons in it. XD

I like having non-doll "people" living in my doll houses, too. Like Sylvanian Families or just random little animals, plastic toys etc smile
I did not know what Kreons were, so I looked them up. Thank you! I am going to buy some Transformer ones for my partner on his birthday next month. He heart Transformers - he collects the Masterpiece collection line.

And it's so cool that your partner collects the Masterpieces! I used to collect TFs pretty hardcore, and I have quite a few MPs. Two of the last figures I ever bought were MPs, actually. Red Alert and Inferno, who are actually my OTP. They cost me over $300, but it was worth it. sweatdrop

I am actually in the process of building my own little diorama for a witch's kitchen/cottagecore kitchen. My partner cut some wood for me to glue together and I've been trying to muddle through the rest on my own. It's my first time doing anything like this so I'm kinda figuring out things as I go. Here's the album of what I've got so far. Also, I desperately miss having an expendable income to spend on ReMents. I have a ton in a box I want to build a full-sized dollhouse for.
