So in mid November, I get to go into the OR for bariatric surgery by a robot. My stomach will go from holding about 1 liter of food, to about 4 ounces as it goes to being the size of a hot dog. The hospital has supplied me with a card which states that I must use the kids menu post surgery due to the reduced stomach size, so that will be fun saying that I need a kids menu for myself for the rest o my life. xD

Well that is going to be quite interesting when you go into restaurants! Best of luck on your surgery this month!

I hope the surgery went well and the healing/recovery was smooth. What are your thoughts/feelings about the results?

My apologies folks. I got overwhelmed with real life stuff after the surgery which had been rescheduled for December 14th of 2020.

The surgery itself went smoothly and the recovery was actually not at all painful (save for two weeks of bland pureed food which I was getting bored of after a while). Thank s far am down over 200 pounds since the surgery, and have gone from 6xl to between large and 2xl (depending on the manufacturer) shirts and from 60 to 46 trousers.

Feels a bit weird, but proud of myself, and folks always are complimenting how good I look now and how I'm not winded by simply getting up out of a chair these days.

And thank you for the well wishes. Again, I'm sorry that I did not see them sooner, but my final semester of university last spring, coupled with moving then to Texas to start teaching, it's been a wild ride. xD
