I like both voices but I personally think Hiyama Nobuyuki's is a better match for Hiei.

ninja When I first watched YYH all I knew was Chuck Huber, so if I had to pick I'd choose him. Both are exceptional however^^

since i have heard hiei's voice in 3 different languages which were all good...i have to go with chuck huber...since after the commentaries has become one of my favorites! 3nodding

Hiyama Nobuyuki,hands down.
Chuck Huber is okay,but Hiyama's sounds cooler.

Kasai_kage since i have heard hiei's voice in 3 different languages which were all good...i have to go with chuck huber...since after the commentaries has become one of my favorites! 3nodding what was the third language? chinese? and where did u hear it? just curious! I never really thought about hearing Hiei in another language besides Japanese and English..

I've barelty ever heard Hiei ion Japanese, but his voice did sound pretty pimpin. Still, I'm sticking with Chuck Huber, maybe simply because that's in my native tongue, but he's just so cool being sarcastic!

I never really thought about hearing Hiei in another language besides Japanese and English.. lol...it was spanish, 3nodding i went to Mexico one summer and they were showing YYH and i couldn't resist watching it...though hiei sounds find i couldn't help laugh at some of the other voices. rofl

Hmmmmm, this is a tough choice for me, but I think I like Hiyama Nobuyuki's voice better. However, Chuck Huber was very good as Hiei, I think. 3nodding

It's hard to compare the two really, because they are speaking in two different voices. I'm sure that, while both voices are great in their native tongue, if they would speak in opposite languages, they would probaly sound very silly. While I think both are very good I would go with Chuck Huber. I don't no how to describe it, but I think Chuck's voice just suites Hiei better. He portrays Hiei very well; he can capture those different, conflicting parts to Hiei's character. Not to say I don't love Hiyama, becuase I do; he also does a very good job. But, to me, Chuck is Hiei and that's why I like him better.
