                                            Quote:
Anticipating the arrival of what she thought to be something of inherent evil, Elliot's mother took a precautionary, if not last ditch effort to keep her worries at bay. Shortly after his birth, Elliot had been baptized in an attempt to rid him of any supposed evils that may have been innate—and with apparent success. Though intended to be an Antichrist, the baptism he received stunted him in that regard, putting something of a seal on his powers, were they to ever awaken.

Despite turning out better than expected for a literal demon-spawn, Elliot's upbringing wasn't exactly comfortable. Raised by his single mother Jeanette Foster in a small town neighboring Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the two had never been reasonably well-off. Elliot was often left alone to fend for himself while his mother worked multiple jobs, though the time they managed to spend together was typically pleasant, if not a little distant.

During harder times, Elliot relied heavily on his friends for emotional support and forged a surrogate family among his peers. Though, his friends hadn't exactly been the greatest example for him, and in turn Elliot had come to be known as a delinquent alongside his group. Most of the trouble caused were pettier forms of crime—the usual hoodlum teenager shenanigans. Though, he managed to get his way through high school, and didn't too terrible, considering his lack of interest. He was encouraged by his mother to attend college, to which he hesitantly obliged before starting up at a small community college. Though he was very close to finishing and receiving an associate's degree, he dropped out in the middle of his second year.

More recently, in the span of about three years, Elliot returned home to visit his mother. He felt as though both of them had come a long way in the past few years, and it felt good to finally feel that maybe all was well. That was, until something he would have claimed downright impossible happened. A man—or what Elliot thought to have been a man, appeared to him one night at the front door. His eyes were dark black pits, and he spoke things a stranger couldn't possibly know, among things Elliot would have never believed prior to that day. The demon seemed familiar with Jeanette and expressed an interest in Elliot, claiming him as their son and that it was time he grew to his full potential. It beckoned him, taunting and mocking, as if to see how far he could push the young man, until Elliot began to scream at the creature as his mother cowered. The demon laughed at Elliot, until Jeanette mustered up the courage to chuck a bag of salt in its face before slamming the door. It roared angrily from the other side, promising it would return.

It had only been a few nights after when the demon returned. Elliot wasn't sure when or where the change happened, but he began to notice something was off about his mother. There was something vaguely Stepford Wifey about her that he began to catch onto. The sudden doting attention he began to receive from her was off-putting, to say the least. Regardless, it was time Elliot needed to take his leave, and so he returned back to his apartment and roommates. Unknown to Elliot, however, the demon followed. On his way back from work, he was immediately greeted with his apartment up in flames. Thankfully, none of his roommates were present, while other tenants managed to escape with minor injuries. However, the duplex itself sustained massive damage, with the fire nearly destroying everything within the house. With nowhere to stay in the meantime, Elliot had little choice but to return to his mother's while he and his roommates figured out what to do next.

During his stay, Jeanette's behavior became increasingly strange. In fact, Elliot swore he saw her eyes change—from their usual blue to a full jet black. The more he thought about it and tried to apply a rational explanation, the more he couldn't just chalk it up to a trick of the light. He knew what he saw, and it wasn't something explainable, at least at the time. After late-night rabbit hole internet browsing, he decided to look up "black eyes," and eventually stumbled upon a few paranormal boards and resources, all of which hinted towards demonic possession. There were a few tips for repelling or trapping demons, one of which involved salting entrances to block them from coming in or escaping. It all sounded so ridiculous, but... maybe giving it a try won't hurt.

The next day, Elliot salted the entrance of the bathroom and his bedroom. To both his surprise and horror, his mother did not enter, let alone go near either of these rooms the entire day. Even when called into his room, she only lingered right outside the door frame, refusing to put a single foot inside. He continued this practice until he could no longer say it was only a coincidence. There was something horribly wrong...

Uncertain of how to exorcise a demon himself, he figured his best bet was to find someone that did. Telling his mother that he and his roommates were going to be looking at a new place, he left to find the help he and his mother desperately needed.

Unbeknownst to him, however, the demon followed.

                                                Quote:
Elliot is a fan of low budget and cult classic movies, specifically the kind that are so bad they're good. He used to own a collection of old b-rated DVD and VHS tapes that were destroyed in the fire.

Elliot is very fond of giving others nicknames.

                                                * It wasn't until recently that his powers suddenly began to manifest themselves in small, emotionally-linked bursts. Though he has limited experience with them, Elliot had shown varying degrees of telekinesis and terrakinesis within the past months. He had also managed to command a demon that one time, and swears that he teleported a block forward on his walk home from work once. It was weird, but he tried not to think about it too much. Unlike in the tales of other cambion, Elliot hasn't shown the ability to warp reality with merely a thought, or use his other powers on a whim. They almost cease to exist when unprovoked, and still come out as if hindered by something.

In Your Face / Children of Bodom

Well look at me, what do you see?
Another trophy, a living ******** dead beat

Exhibiting Abnormality
It's not what you call reality.
But you will always forget
One thing I'd like you to know:

I don't give a flying ********, ******** Dead Beat / Children of Bodom

Ain't got time for the future or the past.
Live for the moment, make it last.

Fell on Black Days / Soundgarden

I'm a search light soul they say
But I can't see it in the night
I'm only faking when I get it right
When I get it right

The Day I Tried To Live / Soundgarden

The day I tried to live
I stole a thousand beggar's change
And gave it to the rich
The day I tried to win
I dangled from the power lines
And let the martyrs stretch
//
I woke the same as any other day you know
I should have stayed in bed

The day I tried to live
I wallowed in the blood and mud with
All the other pigs

And I learned that I was a liar
Just like you

Revelations / Audioslave
You know what to do, you know what I did
Since you know everything just clue me in
I am such a wreck, I am such a mess
I know what I know, why don't you fill in the rest?

//

You hold all the keys, you know all the roads
Why don't you guide me in, if I'm such a lost soul?
I'm spinnin' 'round, I will make you ill
Since I'm so broken down, why don't you fix me?

For the past few hours, it had only been Elliot, his 2001 beater of a Buick, potholes, and a lukewarm bottle of Dr. Pepper. From his hometown south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Elliot began his descent into the wild and wonderful wastelands of West Virginia. A few nights prior, he began a little more research into demons—specifically how to get rid of them. Believing his mother to be possessed, he began to scour the web for what to do, and all information pointed towards exorcism. The problem was, it wasn’t something easy to do, especially for someone with no experience with the occult. Elliot could barely even speak proper English, let alone another language—and a dead one, at that. It was overwhelming—but luckily, there were people out there who could help. Specifically, a demonologist situated somewhere out in West Virginia that would offer their services to those who came to them.

Honestly, everything still sounded completely ridiculous. Had Elliot stumbled upon such a thing even a few weeks ago, he would have laughed them off as some internet weirdo who was either looking to make a quick buck or was completely off their rocker. Still, there was that possibility, but Elliot was desperate. He knew what he saw… but the whole situation made him shudder. Demons, ghosts, bigfoot, the Lochness monster—it was all real, apparently. Punching the destination into his phone, Elliot began his trek down through Appalachia...

                                    ... until his phone died.

Shortly after crossing the state lines, the GPS had sucked the life out of his battery, rendering it useless and leaving Elliot without guidance in an unfamiliar state. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, but the problem was that he was in West Virginia, and Elliot had seen enough Wrong Turn movies to know what was next. If demons truly did exist, then why not mutated, cannibalistic mountain men too? His grip tightened on the wheel as he scooted in, nearly pressing it to his chest. This wasn’t looking so good. A knot formed in his stomach—he couldn’t go down like this, not to the cannibals.

In a turn of luck, Elliot soon found himself riding into an old little town, Plfckwaler—or at least, that’s what he thought the sign said. With the sun beginning to set, Elliot decided he had seen enough road for one day, so with little concern given to the quality of the motel, he rented a room just for the night. What started as a quick stop uptown to grab some food turned into late-night catching up with a former high school classmate, Carlotta. The two of them had never been close, being more so friends of friends than anything else, but nonetheless, she was familiar to him. It was a little comforting to have that in such an unfamiliar place, though, there were quite the rumors about her that lingered well after she vanished from school. Allegedly, he’d keep telling himself, but even if the rumors were true, it was so long ago, but Elliot couldn’t help but feel a little weary. Nonetheless, he remained friendly and she seemed fine—the two had even made plans for tomorrow.

                                       ////////////////////////

♫ I’VE BEEN WATCHIN’ YOU, DAD, AIN’T THAT COOL? I’M YOUR BUCKEROO, I WANNA BE LIKE YOU— ♫

Elliot struck the alarm clock radio with surprising ferocity. Country music wasn’t something he appreciated any time of the day, but especially when it was the first thing he had to hear. After putting on a fresh set of clothes, Elliot grabbed the phone he sat out to charge all night only to find that it hadn’t received a single volt. <********, whatever. Shoving the dead phone into his jacket pocket, Elliot set off for downtown Blackwater to meet with Carlotta.

Approaching their rendezvous point, Elliot greeted her with a wide, overhead wave.

“s**t, as long as we don’t run into any man-eating hillbillies, then I’d say we’re good,” he said with a laugh. Elliot didn’t mind the nickname she gave him—at least she wasn’t saying his name like that creepy little sausage alien did for the entire movie. People had done that before; it was annoying. Now, if only he could come up with one for her…

Elliot grinned. “Yeah, yeah! Some Motel 6 lookin’ place. It’s so nice, I got to stay in a room with no dead people stuffed under the mattress,” he said, hoping he was right, “I don’t think I’ll stick around for long. I, uh, had somewhere I was going,” Elliot pulled the phone from his pocket, “and maybe could’a been there by now if it weren’t for this brick shittin’ its pants. I tried charging it last night, but I think the outlet was busted or something,” he shrugged, shoving the phone back into his pocket, “but yeah. s**t. What’s there to do around here?”

Regardless, a demon known as Mammon managed to accomplish such a feat. Though it turned out mostly a success, it didn't go quite as the demon had planned. Being exorcised and sent back to hell before the cambion's birth, there was much left up to uncertainty. However, upon returning 25 years, he found that that the child he had sired was alive and well and still in contact with his mother.

With plans for the apocalypse set in motion, Mammon sought to claim the demonspawn for future use, though this proved difficult. Possessing the body of Elliot's mother (again,) Mammon would attempt keep tabs on him, steering him into his desired path, all while holding Jeanette as ransom.

User Image🞭 I woke the same as any other day
/////////// you know, I should have stayed in bed...

In a turn of luck, Elliot soon found himself riding into an old little town, Plfckwaler—or that’s what he thought the sign said.

                                                               ////////////////////////
