DRAGON AGE ┎ SHOKRAKAR THE RUNAWAY ◣ NEUTRAL GOOD
⬛ Tal-Vashoth ⬛ Male ⬛ Thirty something
⬛ Warrior, two-handed; reluctant mage ⬛ Gruff, guarded, commitment issues, has trouble leading, good sense of humor, a chill dude
■ Was born under the Qun and began to develop magical ability later in life. ■ Shok feared to become a saarebaas and fled his home. The thought of being put on a leash and possibly having his mouth stitched shut or his tongue cut out was nightmarish to him. Though the Qun itself is strict in other regards, he was never someone who was all about it, but never quite rebelled either since it was tolerable. But now it was too much. ■ Now a Tal-Vashoth and otherwise free, Shok still has some hangups that he has held onto, that namely being magic. Though he is technically a mage, Shok has kept his magical ability suppressed and is afraid to use it, falling back onto more warrior-like behavior since he was trained to be a soldier, since he's p good at killing s**t. ■ Despite his disdain for his magical abilities, Shok fears becoming Tranquil, finding it as frightening and oppressive as becoming a saarebas. ■ Shokrakar doesn't dislike mages despite the fear of himself and finds comfort in them, since he is secretly one of them. ■ Under the Qun, his name/title was probably Karasaad (solider) or Karashok (foot soldier,) but since his leaving, he had already been dubbed Saarebas (dangerous thing.) ■ After becoming a Tal-Vashoth, he took on the name "Shokrakar," Qunlat for "rebel." Though Shok was never particularly rebellious before, he felt this name fit him after what he did. It was difficult for him to settle into after having lived all his life a particular way, but he made due. He became a merc, where he kinda continued doing what he had done his whole life: kill s**t.
Alternatively:
■ Shok has managed to keep his magic ability a secret from his community and continues to operate as a Ben-Hassrath spy. ■ With it getting more difficult, he has considered desertion, but does not want them coming after him for reconditioning. ■ As a disguise, he has taken on the name Shokrakar and spun a story about how he was a Tal-Vashoth rebel, hence his name. ■ However, he could be lead astray from the Qun, especially if it was discovered that he was a mage.
⬛ Shok's greatest fear is confinement: physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Now that he's free from the Qun, he sees what more to life there is and wouldn't want to go back even if he wouldn't be Saarebas. ⬛ Shok's goal is either to become comfortable with his magic and learn to control it better, or to learn how to suppress it without being made Tranquil. ⬛ "Don't call me 'Shok.'"

DRAGON AGE ┎ LAUFEY THE SHAPESHIFTER ◣ TRUE NEUTRAL
⬛ Dalish elf ⬛ Female ⬛ Twenty something
⬛ Mage ⬛ Unpredictable, walking disaster, loner, prankster, compulsive liar, deceptive, vulnerable, distrustful, protective
■ Was an apprentice mage of a Dalish clan that specialized in shapeshifting magic. Maybe she was a First or Second, idk ■ Uses her shapeshifting magic mainly to keep others at bay or to protect something. ■ I see her as alone, so maybe something happened to her clan. I kinda don't wanna go down the "they tragically died" route, so I wanna think of something different.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ┎ NUL THE TITLE ◣ TRUE NEUTRAL
⬛ Changeling ⬛ Male ⬛ Early 20s
⬛ Rogue [subclass: arcane trickster, inquisitive, swashbuckler] ⬛ Extroverted, social, perceptive, sprightly, reckless, sly, cowardly
■ Nul was born to a lone female changeling named Voit. The two of them lived less than comfortably in a small village. Voit had been a traveler, but settled there after having him. Voit didn't care much for motherhood and often regarded Nul as an annoyance. When Nul was about 7, Voit pulled the old "getting milk brb" and never returned home. ■ For the next year, Nul lived as a street urchin. It sucked. ■ One day, Nul witnessed cam across a missing poster for a young girl. The picture was a highly detailed portrait and a description of what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. Desperate to have a roof over his head, Nul took the shape of the girl and pretended to return home, taking her place while the real child continued to be lost, and likely perished. ■ Nul spent his adolescence as a half-elf named Gabrielle, the youngest of two and the children of a human and elf parent. They all lived comfortably within a small village, eventually moving away to a bigger city. ■ Upon taking Gabrielle's place, Nul winged her personality, which was much different from hers. Gabrielle was quiet and mild-mannered, while Nul was anything but. Having been used to fending for himself, he was notably more assertive and abrasive. From then on, Gabrielle's family found her to be more brash and aggressive ever since her "disappearance" and assumed she must have been traumatized or something. ■ During Nul's first few years as Gabrielle, she was a wild-child who often picked fights and got into trouble, until learning to better settle in to her new life. Even still, Gabrielle was stubborn and mischievous into her teens. ■ Occasionally, Nul would return to his true self while out, especially if he was wanting to escape for a bit. While the parents were looking for Gabrielle, Nul could hide in plain sight and not get nagged at. ■ Now about 19, Gabrielle's parents were looking to fix her up with some rich tit. There was some kind of exchange that would benefit both, like, even though Gab's family wasn't super rich, they had inherited land and some slightly richer people wanted it, who also had land and stuff. Gabrielle was less than thrilled about it, but it seemed it wasn't up to her. ■ So, she left and became no more. Nul watched from afar as her family scrambled to search for the runaway bride, only this time, they would never find her. Cause she actually died like 10 years ago. ■ Nul occasionally feels bad about leaving them like that and debates whether or not he should return or write them. Having been close with her older brother, Nul has made attempts at finding him, to at least let him know his little sister was okay to some capacity. Nul feels he should never tell them the truth, as it will hurt them too much to know.

THE ELDER SCROLLS ┎ CINNA THE HULKYND ◣ NEUTRAL GOOD
⬛ Altmer ⬛ Female ⬛ 34
⬛ Personality traits
⬛ Lineage Grandma: Varuna Grandpa: Merlon
Mother: Eldaria Father: Melnath Half-Sister: Calsara
■ Cinna, or Cindarie, was deemed a hulkynd, or "broken child" at birth given the discolored patches on her face. The Altmer are eugenics-y pricks that can't have any shite like that, so she was sent elsewhere to live. ■ Maybe also there was some drama s**t with her parents. Like, her mother (Eldaria) was to be married off to someone her parents selected, but she was having relations with someone else that she loved (Melnath), but he wasn't as boujee as her rents wanted. So she got preggers and her family was like *snooty noises* and so whatever arrangement they had was in jeopardy. It seemed there was no sweeping this under the rug, but when Cinna was born, she had a few patches of vitiligo on her face, and her stinky a** grandparents were like, "ope, can't keep that one then!" So, they sent Cinna off to grow up elsewhere as a hulkynd and they pretended that none of this ever happened. Cinna's mother was married off to some snooty rich tit where she now lived a bland Altmer life with a new family that was considered more acceptable by Altmeri standards. ■ Cinna's father discovered her whereabouts and would frequently check in on her as she grew up. Due to social circumstances, he could not take her in, but would make sure she was okay. ■ She was brought up in a monastery dedicated to Kynareth. Here she learned bard s**t. There were some songs that were thought to please Kynareth and bring certain weather conditions, and so Cinna was taught some of these worship songs to play when rain or whatever was needed. ■ Once she was older, she left the monastery to become a traveling bard. Believing herself ugly, she reveled in the attention she would receive and for a while, but soon found this attention to be unfulfilling... and uncomfortable. But for a while, it was the only kindness she received, as she had no family. ■ At some point, she reunited with her father, but the relationship remained somewhat distant, as he had his own family. He told them she was a distant cousin of his when she came to stay for a bit. ■ It was an awkward living arrangement, to say the least. Curious about her mother, she inquired who she was and discovered her to be of somewhat nobility. ■ During a ceremony for Eldaria's daughter and Cinna's half-sister, Calsara, she showed up to observe as a performer. Here, Cinna witnessed boujee Altmer society. It seemed Calsara was being sent off to learn more magic, hailed as some sort of prodigy. Cinna was jealous at first, that could have been her life. Wanting to know more of Calsara, she saw her disappear from the party for a moment and followed after, where she witnessed the mage begin to break down and seemed mortified upon noticing Cinna. ■ Cinna was like, "I'm just a bard, I don't care," and Calsara said something about everything being too much for her to handle anymore, but she gotta do it to make her family happy. ■ Eldaria then appears looking for Calsara and recognizes the patterns on Cinna's face. She's like, "********/>■ Everything is explained. ■ When Calsara goes off for wherever, Cinna goes with her, eager to leave Summerset Isles for good.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ┎ PERDITA THE TITLE ◣ TRUE NEUTRAL
⬛ Simic Hybrid [Elf/aboleth] ⬛ Female ⬛ 17-20
⬛ Personality traits
■ Was created by some renegade Simic types to see if they could deviate from the usual types of critters they used. ■ They decided to use an aboleth and elf in order to create some real nasty, smart s**t. Something also physically tough, adaptable on water and land, and capable of complex problem solving. Plus, aboleth had like, genetic memory and s**t, so let's see what becomes of that. ■ Perdita and another were made. Perdita lacked the genetic memory, while her "sibling" did not, and rampaged leading them both to escape. She didn't know where the other went off to, but knew they were capable of some s**t. ■ Perdita wandered the wilds for a time and became somewhat feral. She knew no languages and could only communicate telepathically. From the waist up, she appeared somewhat normal, albeit strange-looking and of an unidentifiable race, but below, her body was covered in long, whipping tendrils that would serve as her deadliest line of melee defense. ■ Like with aboleths, Perdita also produced a mucus from her body that could temporarily make enemies only able to breathe water. Likewise, she always appeared slimy and required frequent access to water. ■ Perdita was eventually found by a monk from a nearby monastery dedicated to the elven god Deep Sashelas, who mistook her for a lost, feral child of some aquatic origin. ■ Here, she was taught a little Common, though doesn't appear to be fluent, and was given a home. She was raised to maintain and respect the sea and grew up mostly isolated within the monastery. ■ Unaware of what an aboleth or Simic Hybrid was, it was believed by the monks that she was some sort of merfolk, given her appearance and ability to breathe underwater. She has taken their word for it and refers to herself as such.
⬛ Monk

⬛ Ideals ■
⬛ Flaws ■ I don't know who or what I am, and as such am always seeking guidance. ■ I am quick to attack if I am frightened. ■ Now that I've returned to the world, I enjoy its delights a little too much ■ I like keeping secrets and won’t share them with anyone.

SUPERNATURAL ┎ ELLIOT FOSTER THE TITLE ◣ NEUTRAL GOOD
⬛ Cambion ⬛ Male ⬛ Late 20s
⬛ Personality ■ Elliot can be a morally grey person. He does whatever he believes is right, or at the least harmless, even if it's not exactly "legal." Rules are more or less a guideline than something to be closely followed. However, he draws a line if someone were to be really hurt at the expense of his actions. He isn't the sort to act based on careful thought and often rushes into things with little to no preparation or considerations. Elliot can often appear immature, brazen, and vulgar -- he has little to no filter on his words and can come off as rude, though he doesn't usually mean harm. He copes with fear by building an unfazed facade or by poking fun, which can either help keep others calm, or make himself seem negligent. Elliot isn't much of a leader, or even a follower, as following instructions has never quite been his forte. Elliot isn't the sort to start unnecessary commotion and prefers to remain on good terms with people if it can be helped, but he doesn't fear confrontation.
⬛ Bio ■ Anticipating the arrival of what she thought to be something of inherent evil, Elliot's mother took a precautionary, if not last ditch effort to keep her worries at bay. Shortly after his birth, Elliot had been baptized in an attempt to rid him of any supposed evils that may have been innate -- and with apparent success. Elliot grew up relatively normal - or, as normal it could get for a cambion. The heaven-shattering powers that accompanied those of his kind were all but nonexistent, save for about seven months ago, where they began to meagerly rear themselves during his times of turmoil. Though intended to be one of the anti-Christs, Elliot lacked the fundamental ability that made cambions so lethal, and in turn his status was revoked.
■ Despite turning out better than expected for a literal demon-spawn, Elliot's upbringing wasn't exactly comfortable. Raised by his single mother Jamie Foster in a small town neighboring Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the two had never been reasonably well-off. Elliot was often left alone to fend for himself while his mother worked multiple jobs, though the time they managed to spend together was typically pleasant. When Elliot was in his early teens, his mother began a long-term relationship with a man named Anthony. Elliot was skeptical at first, but in time grew to tolerate him.
■ During harder times, Elliot relied heavily on his friends for emotional support and forged a surrogate family among his peers. Though, his friends hadn't exactly been the greatest example for him, and in turn Elliot had come to be known as a delinquent alongside his group. Most of the trouble caused were pettier forms of crime - vandalism, shoplifting - the usual hoodlum teenager shebang. Though, he managed to get his way through high school, if only by the bare minimum and graduate. He was encouraged by his mother to attend college, to which he hesitantly obliged before starting up at a small community college. Though he was very close to finishing and receiving an associate's degree, he dropped out in the middle of his second year, his reason being "'cause ******** that!"
■ More recently, in the span of about three years, Elliot returned home to visit his mother and step-father. His family had come a long way in the past years, and it felt good to finally feel that maybe all was well. That was, until something he would have claimed downright impossible happened. A man - or what Elliot thought to have been a man, appeared to him one night at the front door. His eyes were dark black pits, and he spoke things a stranger couldn't possibly know, among things Elliot would have never believed prior to that day. The demon seemed familiar with Jamie and expressed an interest in Elliot, claiming him as their son - and that it was time he grew to his full potential. It beckoned him, taunting, mocking, as if to see how far he could push the young man, until Elliot began to scream at the creature - the house began to quake and the lights flickered as he demanded it leave, to which it did as though on his command. It had only been a few nights after when the demon returned, this time while Jamie was alone while Elliot and Anthony were away. Elliot returned home first, to find his mother dead in her room, with an almost intentionally obvious sign of the cause. The air reeked something fowl, and if only for a split second, Elliot swore he saw something standing just down the hall - same dark, empty eyes and beckoning glance. With no other direction in life, Elliot vowed to destroy the creature responsible for his mother's death, even though he had absolutely no idea how to do it.
⬛ Other Stuff ■ It wasn't until recently that his powers suddenly began to manifest themselves in small, emotionally-linked bursts. Though he has limited experience with them, Elliot had shown varying degrees of telekinesis and terrakinesis within the past months. He had also managed to command a demon that one time, and swears that he teleported a block forward on his walk home from work once. It was weird, but he tried not to think about it too much. Unlike in the tales of other cambion, Elliot hasn't shown the ability to warp reality with merely a thought, or use his other powers on a whim. They almost cease to exist when unprovoked, and still come out as if hindered by something.
■ Elliot is a fan of low budget syfy, horror, and cult classic movies, specifically the kind that are just so bad they're good. He owns a collection of old b-rated DVD and VHS tapes that he left at home.
■ Despite his impetus to take up hunting life so shortly after the incident, Elliot is still somewhat in denial over the entire situation. Still struct with grief, he has mostly been stuck in a state of isolation, denial, and anger. There were times where he began to even question his own sanity, but he knew what he saw and it was far from the "normal" he grew up with. The whole supernatural creatures being real thing is something he's also had trouble accepting, and it didn't help that he was a part of that world himself; he almost refused to accept that he was anything other than a human. It was all so much to take in at once, and Elliot no longer felt like he knew what was real or not anymore. Unicorns, Bigfoot, the flying spaghetti monster -- maybe all that existed too, it'd make just about as much sense to him as everything else that's been going on. Alongside his vengeance, Elliot hopes to discover more about the creatures he once believed to have been mere stories, and possibly learn a thing or two about his own kind along the way, if at first he learns to accept himself for it.
■ Elliot uses a worn, weathered Buick as his primary source of transportation. It isn't the greatest car, but it gets him from point A to point B and hasn't broken down yet, so it's all good. Elliot has mostly slept inside his car since he left home, but hopes it won't become an everyday thing. It isn't the most comfortable of places to sleep and it makes him feel like a hobo.
■ Elliot has absolutely no insight into killing, tracking, or at all dealing with supernatural creatures, and could barely even be considered a hunter. Equip with only a kitchen knife, a pocketknife, a lighter, and his own stunted powers, Elliot has a lot to learn in terms of killing a demon. He continues to learn more and more from online sources, but still lacks the hands-on experience.

SUPERNATURAL/ URBAN FANTASY ┎ SABRINA CALLAHAN THE DOOMSEER ◣ NEUTRAL GOOD
⬛ Banshee ⬛ Female ⬛ Early-mid 20s
⬛ Loud, outspoken. Spunkyy, goofy, kinda dumb sometimes idk,
■ Sab has always has a strong connection with death, being able to sense it and even see it. Knowing when someone nearby would die soon, she would be seized by heavy emotion and begin to cry and scream uncontrollably. As she got older, she didn't grow out of it and she was seen as prone to mental outbursts. Maybe she had a shitty, or maybe even well-meaning family that tried to put her on meds or something, which made her sluggish and out of touch with her powers. Moving out of her home, Sab kept on the medication, thinking it was helping her, but soon had to go off of it when it was causing other problems. She went off it, and began to see feel and see death again and became a hermit for a while, afraid of what she was seeing. She thought she was crazy, but nahh.
At some point, she discovers what she is and it's oddly a relief. So, she was a Celtic fairy all along, and not in desperate need of meds? Cool, but also, that meant all the s**t she had seen in her childhood was real.

THE ELDER SCROLLS ┎ MONTRESOR THE CONTORTIONIST ◣ TRUE NEUTRAL
⬛ Bosmer ⬛ Male ⬛ 40s
⬛ a charmer, deceptive, snarky? probably dorian pavus ⬛ class: acrobat
■ originally from valenwood, montresor's family was wiped in a thalmor purge. his family home was set ablaze, killing most everyone, cept for maybe a few, and scarring his torso.
■ left valenwood and joined a travelling circus/side show sorta thing. montresor had a thing where his skin was stretchy and he could bend his body parts in unusual ways. he performed as a contortionist and would display the stretchiness of his skin. similar to elhners danlos syndrome. but YE OLDE ELHNERS DANLOS SYNDROME.
■ here he met a three-eyed, two-faced khajiit named ri'jhera and ransha'jo. only ri'jhera's face spoke, while ransha-jo was always silent. montresor became close with them, bonding over their TRAGIC BACKSTORIES. and love for ******** with people. especially snooty types.
■ the two eventually ditched the side show and went off into the world to ******** with rich people. ri'jhera often posed as a mystic, which most people ate up 'cause ya know, three eyes. montresor used his good looks and charming demeanor to further their act. they never made targets of the less fortunate, but weren't exactly robinhood-esque in their endeavors. they kept all their earned coin for themselves.
■ montresor does not follow the green pact to a tee now that he is no longer in valenwood, but still keeps certain practices from habit. he prefers meat to plant foods, as he's not really used to eating them. he will occasionally indulge in cannibalism, but due to the stigma literally everywhere else besides valenwood, he does so less frequently.

SCIFI, MAYBE ┎ CRIE THE SHAPESHIFTER ◣ TRUE NEUTRAL
⬛ some kinda shapeshifting entity. like, an alien or sumfin. could be part human. idk or a trickster deity/demigod ⬛ what's a gender ⬛ appears mid-late 20s
⬛ spunky, spontaneous, a little self-interested, lonely, wild card
■ ********, it's gonna vary depending on how the setting gonna be, but: ■ the product of a love affair between a mortal and some trickster god, creating a wily, misunderstood shapeshifter who could never quite find their place in the world. ■ some sorta x-men shite, or experiment that resulted in a being like Crie becoming a thing. being a shapeshifter, she has a default form that does not appear human at all, but has a human form that she takes. ■ an alien who was like, goku/superman'd to earth under the pretense of infiltrating and blending in among the humans, likely within a surrogate family of some sort, maybe replacing an existing child. either she is still in line with her home world and is like, a double agent, or she became too invested in earth and has abandoned her mission, leading to them trying to kill her off.
■ or, taking from Calico's backstory, Crie is an alien/human thing that was originally a part of an alien civilization that was comprised of genetic splices of an ancient, primordial being and various other lifeforms in order to optimize adaptability to help conquer s**t. I dunno, kinda like Starlord, I guess. ■ she was put onto earth as a spy to gain Intel, as she would be able to blend in and survive in its conditions. However, something lead her to deviate and she is now considered rogue by her civilization.
