T'eir and Brown Gilwreyth

Former Name: T'eir
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Role/Rank: Wingrider, Harper
Origin: HarperHall, Fort region
Appearance: T'eir's face is very animated, which over the years been marked with numerous laugh and frown lines. He has no scars on his easily-tanned skin because he tends to do whatever he can to get out of a fight, including sweet-talking his adversary into getting him (occasionally her)-self drunk... His one-length hair is wavy and chocolate-colored, and he keeps it tied back with a ribbon or cord at the nape of his neck. His eyes are light blue and almost always smiling because he rarely gets angry.
Fashion: His clothing tends to be a little nicer than it needs to be because he likes to add "the little extras" to his tailoring bill. He likes softer, nicer-quality fabrics, brighter colors, and trim, cording, embroidery, etc. Perhaps his taste goes back to his HarperHall days, after all, his favorite color is blue.
Personality:
Positive traits: Storyteller, Dutiful, Trustworthy
Negative traits: Melodramatic, Preoccupied, Stubborn
A poet and storyteller, T'eir is slightly dramatic even in everyday speech.
History:
He used to fall in and out of love rather easily; in fact some would say he was in love with the concept of love, until he met that special someone. His poetry began to reflect that change and his feelings for that special someone. Their subject matter and philosophy became quite deep. However, his feelings were not reciprocated and he was rejected firmly in public, and it broke his heart.
Before this first heartbreak, he took being a dragonrider very seriously, and always seemed to come through in even the toughest situations. Victory was cheered lustily and his dragon's trumpeting echoed around the Bowl. In heartbreak however, his joy and determination were replaced with desperation and gloom. He was so devastated that he strongly considered suicide until The Entourage idea came his way.
M'rio was a well-respected queenrider, and he needed an entourage to complete his plan to move North. T'eir agreed to go; in fact he jumped at the chance. Then he thought he could die in a manner that serves the well-being of Pern, and not just his own selfish ways. Strangely perhaps, a 9 in 10 chance of his dragon contracting and dying from the illness gave him a bit of hope. Maybe it was because he now had a number to put against survival. A 10% chance of survival is better than 100% death suiciding between.
In the end, his dragon has contracted the deadly disease but is expected to recover. T'eir isn't so sure, and is beginning to have second thoughts about coming North. He met the most amazing woman and wants to court her properly once her new dragon is old enough. In the meantime, he wants to get to know her. Maybe if he survives he can start over together with her. He doesn't dare hope that she might have similar feelings to him.
Dragon
Name: Gilwreyth
Age: 9
Colour: Brown
Description:
Gilwreyth has a compact body and can maneuver in the air with lightning-quick speed. For a Brown. It is a very limited ability that takes up a lot of his energy. Better spent would be his stamina and consistent medium-fast speed.
A basic mocha-brown is Gilwreyth. Only a paler brown patch of hide on his face against the darker brown on the rest of his body gives it a mask-like appearance.
Personality:
Positive traits: Sweet, Gentle, Listener
Negative traits: Over-sensitive, Carefree, Opinionated
He is sensitive, friendly, and carefree, similar to his rider on most occasions barring Mating Flights. He likes to listen to others' problems, though he isn't always able to give advice. Others seem to appreciate his quiet listening behavior. No "ah's," "yesses" and "mhm's" from this dragon. Just simple attentiveness.
Sometimes others' problems, or his own, are awful enough to rile him up. He can become overly sensitive to contradiction, aggressiveness, and sob stories. He will urge T'eir to do something about it, even if the circumstances are ridiculous. If he gets really opinionated he may snap or cop an attitude like a teenage human.
