Appearance: Average height. Blonde, Green/blue eyes, (can look either, depending on the lighting) Hair is short/rough (
he looks like this in general). Typical boy, rough and tumble means he never quite looks neat and tidy. He tends to be scruffier in general than his twin Kakar. He is in height, slightly shorter than his brother right now, but until they hit around 11 turns, he was always much shorter, until he had a growth spurt. Now you can only tell the difference when they're standing side by side.
Personality: Kakaw is a leader, but not the best one, he thinks up ideas, puts them to his twin, and his brother is the one that does the majority of thinking for the two of them. He is pretty blasé, he doesn't think of the results of his actions much and acts on impulse almost all the time. He's actually less confident than his brother, leading to his bluster and impulse making, if he thinks too long about something, he tends to back out of it, second guessing things, which is the main reason he likes to let his brother to the second guessing for him. He wants to be a leader but lacks the concrete decision making, he always needs to bounce things off someone else. Preferably his twin but if not, whoever else is around, not that his twin is normally absent, they're very close and stick together a lot. He tries not to think it over if he makes a mistake however, instead of learning from it, he would more likely just ignore it and do something else, he needs his brother to pull him up on it and help him learn from what it was.
History: For the most part, a pretty typical weyrled life, the major difference is his mother wasn't originally part of the weyr, their father, K'kel, a greenrider, found and fell in love with a woman from a distant hold, the woman hadn't even been anyone of note, 'just' a kitchen worker when they'd met. His father made all sorts of excuses to visit the hold over the following months and turns, eventually whisking her away to Fort. They led a normal life but for some reason, never found themselves parents. It began driving Valaw, his mother, extremely broody, spending far too much time in the nursery with the young children, playing with babies, getting reulctant to hand over the babies to their mothers, instead of working in the kitchens. Valaw did get pregnant a few times but lost the babies early. It took many turns but finally Valaw did manage to carry to term and was surprised by the twin boys as one was rather smaller than the other but just as healthy. Kakaw as a baby and a young child was always much rowdier than his taller brother. When they were around 1 turn old, their mother Valaw had an accident, she'd fallen down some of the stone steps, she'd hung on for a while but sadly passed. K'kel was lost in grief, the joy of his boys paled and he pulled away from them, leaving them more and more in the care of the nursery. When the plague happened and K'kel started to lose his friends, he began to show more interest in the boys, but by that point they were around 6 turns old and the damage had been done, they weren't really interested, instead relying on each other for company and entertainment. However, when K'kel's green sickened, they did reconcile a little, and cried for him when his green passed and K'kel, feeling he had nothing left, asked to be left
between to be with his dragon. So the boys were orphaned by 6 or 7 turns old. That said, they grew up healthy and happy, despite it all. Wanting, like most young boys do, to be a Dragonrider, sickness or not, it would be worth it.
