Appearance: Rather short at 5'2, Mecesa is a rotund woman. She likes to bundle youngsters up in hugs and there is an ample amount to hug. Since giving up on being a rider she's enjoyed growing her hair out, and the long dark curls reach the small of her back.

History: Mecesa was born at Telgar Weyr, like many to a set of dragonrider parents. Her mother wasn't overly interested in their daughter. Mecesa likes to think that this is because her mother was a career woman, but never knew her well enough to actually be certain of that. Her father however was very fond of his daughter. He wasn't around most of the time, but was always doting when he was. Most of her time Mecesa spent in the créche, which she didn't mind at all. For her that was like having lots and lots of brothers and sisters. Even after she was fostered the girl kept going back to the créche whenever possible, it was more fun there.

Like most weyrbrats, she became a candidate at age 12. And remained that way until 22. Having stood for six clutches, Mecesa decided that Junior Gold Folarth and Bronze Layalth's clutch is 170 would be her last. Her chances of impressing were slim, and clutches were getting further apart. She could remain a candidate for another 3 turns and hope for one more clutch, or she could accept what happened and move on. She chose to move on.

Of course, being a candidate had left Mecesa without really a craft to focus on. Her chores had been fairly general. Meaning her real choice was where in the Weyr she would choose to focus. It seemed only natural to her for her to go back to the créche. Where she has been ever since.

In her twelve turns since leaving candidacy Mecesa hasn't regretted picking the créche. She enjoys spending time with children. Teaching them, playing with them, and just getting to watch them experience the world. During her time she has fostered several youngsters, as well as having two children of her own. As many of her fosterlings became candidates and dragonriders, it only made sense for Mecesa to follow the Telgar riders to Fort. Every Weyr has a créche and Mecesa swiftly slotted into this new environment.
