β Loralai is not easily trusting of other people, especially mundanes or shadow hunters, she doesn't like vampires or werewolves much either, but she is more accepting of them than non-downworlders, and the kind she hates the most would be demons. She is fiercely loyal to her own kind, and to people she cares about, and is willing to go to any lengths necessary to protect them; even if it means risking her own life. Lora lacks tact and is very blunt, she isn't afraid to speak her mind and doesn't care if it hurts anyone's feelings. She also has a very short temper, and doesn't have a lot of patience when dealing with ignorant people or people she doesn't like. Lora is not openly affectionate either verbally or physically, which often causes problems within her relationships, especially romantic ones.
Biography
β No one knows exactly who Loralai's father is, the only thing that is known is that he was a greater demon. There are many rumors about who it could be, but none of the greater demons have stepped forward to lay claim to her. The identity of her biological mother is also a mystery, as she was abandoned at an orphanage when she was only 3 years old. Lora lived at the orphanage for 6 years before she was discovered by a coven of warlocks, and adopted. Her "mother" or more accurately, the woman who raised her, went by the name of Rose. Rose was the leader of the coven, and had many "children" like Lora. She was not a very affectionate or loving woman, and was very strict and raised all of her "children" to be the same. All of the children were taught to believe that warlocks were the superior race, especially over mundanes and shadow hunters. Many people assumed the coven was some kind of cult or terrorist group because of their beliefs, but despite the disdain they held for certain people, the coven never committed any acts of violence or hate towards them. They simply kept to themselves, and refused to get involved with the business of the other races. Around the age of 349, Loralai would ascend into leadership over the coven, in place of Rose after she died. She was the most skilled of the warlocks that still remained, which is why she was chosen. In current day, the coven still exists, with Lora as their leader. They make up the majority of the warlocks in New York City, but there are still few who are not aligned with them. With the support of the coven, Loralai has risen to position of High Warlock of New York City.
