I really did not want to pull out my old reliable Odanodan avatar, again, this year, and went messing around with the Avatar Builder, to discover Tory of the Glen. Now I realize that this is actually a Scottish item, but did you know that both the Scotts and Irish played the bagpipes and wore clan kilts? So, I happily post my St. Pat's Celtic Version of Shamrock Luck, here, below.
The jacket is a Gaia oldie -- Scott Coat -- and I layered it over the Tory of the Glen's Embroidered Outfit -- pants and sleeveless top -- because I did not want to show off my bare arms. I wanted to look a little more distinguished than that.
In actual heritage, I am a IRL Celtic mix of Irish and Scottish, so, I have a fondness for St. Patrick's Day -- and even got the chance to visit Ireland, on holiday, which was a grand, memorable event!
Now, because I enjoy experimenting, here is Tory of the Glen without the influence of the Scott Coat and kilt. So now I look like I am ready for River Dance, or to pick a fight. xD
If anyone within our Guild can suggest a simple, tailored green jacket which would layer well over the Tory of the Glen's Embroidered Outfit, please let me know! Thanks, in advance for your input.
Also, I might need to save up my gaia_gaiagold to wear this outfit, because Tory of the Glen is currently priced in the Marketplace @ 279,237,300,000g ~ but there is always next year, yes?
Happy Saint Patrick's to you all! Kudos, ~VSC

Thank you for this thread! It's nice to get into the holiday spirit. I went onto the builder, but I couldn't really find any items that layer well with that coat. :c This could also be because I am miserably inept at designing male avis (it's a skill I continue to curse myself for not having).
Sigh I haven't made a St. Patrick's Day avi in an age! I don't have much green in my inventory, and I'm reluctant to buy items that I will likely only use once. I might think about designing something in the builder, though, just to practice with some of the green-heavy color schemes on gaia.
As a side note, do any of the items you quest ever come back to the marketplace?! I keep wanted to buy you gifts, but your questing items are never available! It's ridiculously frustrating - which means it must be nearly unbearable for you.

It's ridiculously frustrating - which means it must be nearly unbearable for you. Thank you for taking the time to answer my post. And you know, I must have one of the foggiest memories on Gaia, because it just so happens that I have Tory of the Glen equipped on one of my other male accounts -- and it has been on this avatar for quite some time! xD
I just changed his avatar to a St. Pat's one, and I'll post it here, for a comparison.
So, in answer to your question -- I don't really take questing very seriously, and will often trade items between accounts. And in the case of Gruelgrimm owning Tory of the Glen, and having a more substantial gold reserve than I do at the moment, I will hop back on the Gruelgrimm account and see if he can make some sort of Irish green item purchase for me (because I think Tory of the Glen is priced a little too high at the moment.)
And if you think I am being a bit obsessive, it's OK -- because I am in the process of dressing ALL of my 9 Gaia accounts in Irish green. I did this last year, as well -- but I think this year's avatars are coming across a little more stylish. Perhaps it is due to the lessons I have learned in this guild -- well, I would like to think so -- because stretching the imagination helps the grey matter grow!
I think I will be happy with whatever avatar build I eventually come up for this account -- VSC is very easy to please. xD
Kudos ~VSC

Well, as you can see by glancing at my Avi, I came up with an Irish solution, but not as I had first intended. Pairing my Green Gentleman avatar (topcoat and vest by Woo Me -- (Prince Woogis) and the pants -- an unusual selection, but they work in a pinch -- Green Hibiscus Pajama Pants --EDIT: changed for Easter 2k18 Trousers) with MANtis, makes a very special chummy Irish Celebration. Now, compare this years' duo with the avatar build from last year, which I call "Green Beer Advice" --
Well, I think the concept works, but I like this year's St. Pat's build much more. Both are humorous, but in different ways -- and yes, Odanodan got equipped again this year (as the hat.) xD
I also equipped my free Spinami win of an Astra: Halo of light to give this avatar a little bit of bling. cat_3nodding
I wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day! And may the luck of the Irish come your way. Kudos, ~VSC

Kudos ~VSC So, here are all of my avatars all decked out in clover! It has been interesting for me to collect them all together for posting here.
May Irish eyes smile on you! ☘ Kudos ~ VSC
