Humans (or simply Men) were one of the most populous races of the Mortal Realms. They could be found in every realm and served both Order and Chaos. Both Sigmar and Archaon were once humans in the World Before Time.

When Sigmar came upon the Mortal Realms during the Age of Myth, there were already primitive tribes of humans. He rose them up from savagery, helping them build vast civilizations. When the Age of Chaos began, Chaos corrupted humans were sent against the human cities. Most of the survivors who didn't turn to Chaos were known as the free humans.Suffering from starvation from the war, some humans turned to cannibalism, eventually becoming Crypt Ghouls under the Abhorrant Ghoul Kings. During the Age of Chaos, Sigmar took human warriors and reforged them into the Stormcast Eternals.

Free Humans

After losing their kingdoms, continents and lands during the Age of Chaos, the Free People took refuge in Azyr, gathering in Azyrheim and Sigmaron. There they made a new home, uniting in Sigmar's name to preserve their heraldry and cultural traditions, awaiting for the time when they can return to the Mortal Realms as conquerors and enact bloody revenge upon the forces of Chaos

In fair Sigmaron the free people of humanity gather, preserving heraldry and cultural traditions from civilisations ground beneath the weight of unceasing strife. The clamour of warlike souls fills the heavens, united in Sigmar’s name. Though some of these lost tribes have been driven from their homelands, and others cast adrift on the tides of time, every soul amongst them dreams of wreaking bloody revenge upon the forces of Chaos.

Across the mortal realms Sigmar is often worshiped as the primary god that represents humans, however in the realm of life there is an equal and more often than not greater number of worshipers of Allarielle while in Shyish, Nagash has supplanted himself as the primary god of worship with all others falling underneath. Gorkamorka however is in no way or form revered by any of humanity due to his grand betrayal as well as general association with the Greenskins and Ogre Kingdoms. That said he is still respected, often grudgingly so.
