Cornelius walked into "his" classroom. He went down the steps and looked up at the seats. It was weird that the Academy will now have demons. He placed his briefcase on his table. He sat on the desk, feet on the ground, arms in front of him with his hands clasped by his knees. He looked at the empty chairs and wondered if anyone was going to take his class. It was new, it was going to be... exciting per say. But he hoped he could at least reach two students and change their lives, because, isnt that a teachers role? He thought about one of his professors while he was studying and how much he learned from him.

As he admired his classroom he knew that it would be a while before he got any students to his class. IF he did get any.
He walked around the outside of his desk and sat on his chair. Cornelius then opened his brief case and took out one of his spare composition notebooks and began to write down his thoughts. He wrote in big letter a title for his notes. He titled it "What not to say to students." He figured start out with what not to say because he wanted to say more to them. "Number one: Do not flirt with the cute students unless you want to lose your job." He laughed as he wrote that down. He knew he may not help it so underneath he wrote. "Unless you do it carefully." He laughed. He also wrote down to not share too much of his past, his lineage, unless someone may know. Do not talk about father thats another good one since it would just remind him of how he failed his father, and other little dumb rules he wrote down. He closed his notebook and placed it back in his briefcase, he then took the briefcase and placed it underneath the desk on the right side. He got up, pushed the chair in and decided leave the academy for a bit. If they need me they will call me. he thought. He decided to walk through the demon city streets.

Cornelius made his way back to the classroom. He walked down the stairs and sat on his chair. He was sober now. It should be a superpower for demons to not be drunk for a long time. He sat down and grabbed his demon studies book and started to read it. He picked it up and began to pace in front of his desk, then up and down the stairs. He sat back at his desk and pondered if he was making the right call to teach about demons here at the academy. He placed his book on his face, leaned back, few minutes later Cornelius was snoring underneath his book.

Cornelius woke up to find himself on the floor, his chair on his back, feet in the air, book by his side. He blinked really fast to adjust his eyes to the light of his classroom. He rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands. He got up and straightened out his area. I should find something else to do... He leaned against his desk, took out his phone, no texts, no calls, not even emails from the school. Screw it... he put his phone in his pocket. He decided to head out to the town again and buy some clothes and other things he needed.

Rei entered the class with Juniper not far behind. To their surprise, the classroom was currently empty. Rei expected a professor to at least be present. Then again, perhaps the professor had simply just stepped out for the moment. "I believe that this is the class we need to be in. I'm going to find myself a seat for now," they said to Juniper, before heading up the rows and taking a seat near the center, close to the aisle.

In the free time they had, Rei had picked up a textbook for the course, and at their seat opened up to the first chapter and began to read, in order to pass the time until a professor might show up.

The quiet. She preferred that. There was a thought that had lingered in her mind since that day she wandered through the forest, the faces the encountered, unfamiliar objects, creatures that occupied this strange world - no doubt this would all be scribed into her journal. Each new thing brought a worry that plagued her being, and there was no doubt she did her best to keep her physical exterior from displaying any sort of troublesome thinking. "... Mm?" The little doll blinked once, then twice as her head tilted up to catch the words her new friend had uttered. Right... She accompanied them.

She didn't know why, and she definitely wasn't a student, but she was here - at least in the company of another that could ease her senses. Juniper would follow like a lost puppy, and like a loyal hound would she would seat herself beside them in hopes that they wouldn't find her presence an annoyance. "Okay..." There was a brief, awkward murmur. Her hands lowered her satchel onto her lap for safekeeping, fingers interlocking atop it to nervously fidget.

"Did... You eat today?" Juniper leaned to Rei's side for a hushed whisper. Alright... Well, she couldn't help but dote. "Sorry if I'm aha... B-Bothering your studies." Her stutter had notably relaxed at least around people she knew, yet her voice remained the same with its delicate tone.

Steps that carried no sound beneath them would hastily approach the classroom. The full-black worn substitute teacher for the class had readied himself to teach these students. After all, who better to teach these students about demonology than a demon himself? His fists clumped together and the steps were almost cat-like in the sense that everything he did seemed fast and obscure. As soon as he came through the door of the classroom, he kept on going without introducing himself and even gave his back to all who would so much as get a glimpse of his mask. He picked up the chalk resting on the bottom of the front board and started writing. He was writing in both Latin and the common tongue. with symbols and references all within. After a few minutes of being up on the board, it could be already read as:

Tunc vadit, et assumit septem alios spiritus secum nequiores se et intrantes habitant ibi et fiunt novissima hominis illius pejora prioribus. Sic erit et generationi huic pessimæ erunt.

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

      Matthew 12:45

Et immolaverunt daemonibus et non deo diis quos deos ad quos ignorabant novi recentesque venerunt quos non coluerunt patres eorum, qui.

They sacrificed to demons that were no gods to gods that they had never known to new gods that came who their fathers never dreaded.

      Deuteronomy 32:17

Ancient scriptures tell the story of how demons started when the four shards of the soul of the first god -the Old One- were found and absorbed by the wandering dead. Demons become who they are by absorbing a soul, which is the essence with which living things comprehend the world around them, these souls tend to be ethereal just like those four shards that started demon-kind. There are hundreds of demon types and they all have varying weaknesses and abilities. Some religions praised demons as gods in times of old. Such examples of demons were Hades, Lucifer, Loki, Legion, and countless others. To know the weakness of a demon, you need to know the type of demon and the history behind all of them.

The chalk finally finished clashing against the board and his hand moved away from the board as well as his body, just to quickly review over what he wrote on it within a second. After he did, he lay the chalk back down at the bottom of the board and then turned around to his students. The masked man would scan the room briefly before opening both his hands outwards in joyous manner and speaking aloud.

"Voila! View this veteran of venerable visage. Verily, the value of this vexation will be valorous. You may call me professor Locust. This class is Demonology 101 and it is the very basics of demon studies. You must understand demon-kind before you are to counter them. Are there any questions before we continue?"

A true showman in the middle of class as their professor of demonology. This was the most basic class before learning actual things to counter demons. He put his hands back down while the eyes behind the mask kept good view of the students and kept on trying to remember all of their faces in one fell swoop.

"You don't have to worry about me, Juniper, I'll be fine" Rei said, then continuing with a comforting smile behind his mask "But yes, I was sure to have some food, thank you." It seemed as if these initial chapters would be mostly general information. From what they could glean, this might be a more hands on course. Rei turned their attention back to Juniper, considering her being here in the course. "You know Juniper, I enjoy having you around, but you don't need to force yourself to attend my classes with me. I understand these aren't exactly things you're trying to pursue." Rei paused momentarily, continuing "But I would certainly appreciate your company when I've to go the alchemy course" giving a nod to her skills in herbalism in the like.

Just then, a cloaked masked figure entered the classroom, and began chalking up the board with all sorts of quotes. Presumably this was the professor, though they didn't know for sure, as it wasn't exactly confirmed as to who would be teaching.
"This guy covers himself even more than I do. Mysterious.." Rei thought to themselves. The man would introduce himself as professor Locust, and seemed very to the point. An eccentric amount of alliteration, certainly, but not many tedious introductions.

Rei spoke up, in response to the professor's inquiry concerning any questions.
"Yes, Professor Locust? I couldn't help but notice the syllabus was vague at best, likely concerning how new this course is to the Aries Academy curriculum. What I'm wondering is what approach do you intend to approach this course with? Will it be hands on or otherwise?"

A small nod signaled her understanding. "I'm-... Not forcing myself," She gave a feeble gesture with her hands, "There is no where ah- else for me to go... I'm erm... Content here." Certainly there were better ways to phrase this... Juniper chewed on her bottom lip as her hands retracted, resting back on her lap. "I mean, I enjoy hanging around friends a-and all..." The little doll scrounged up her words to the best of her ability until her eventual awkward silence. It was better to stop it there than continue on.

Quiet. The footsteps of another that stopped just in front of the board. Juniper lifted her head to stare with curious, narrowed eyes at the shrouded figure that- wrote. Taught. Whoever it was, whatever it happened to be was beginning its first lesson. A peculiar entrance with as equally peculiar garments didn't help put this little lady at ease, there was most definitely something off, but alas she couldn't put her finger on the matter.

Voila. Venerable. Value. Valorous. The masked professor enjoyed playing with his words, a show of rhymes and riddles that could have provided a sort of entertainment if he weren't so... Himself.

Juniper produced her journal, quietly jotting down both what was on the board and a description of this Locust. Rei had their own plans in mind, which she would observe on the sidelines since there was little to interject upon, these were their own valuable ventures - that provided a vast variety of knowledge. Verily.

For a split second there was a small smile on her face.

The masked man looked down almost scanning the floor really quickly and then raised his mask back up to seem as though he was looking into this students' eyes. As a professor, no answer was a simple one. There was always a need to be clear and precise. These are students, after all. They needed the knowledge that all these classes could provide, but why was he asking a question that was already answered. Bollocks. He could've sworn that he started with saying that to understand demon-kind you need to know what type of demon they are and their history... how vexing. Truly. After the glare, he answered as best he could.

Yes, of course it was vague. I am merely giving you the tools of understanding the history and basics behind demon mechanisms, so you can counter them, as I said beforehand. Your real teacher is professor Cornelius, which will be teaching you the hands-on portion of the class. He will be starting tomorrow afternoon on this class. Today you will have an exam on what you have learned throughout this first day on the varieties of demons and the brief history. I am the defense against the dark arts teacher and a historian. You will see me later in a more advanced course. Now without further adieu, if nobody else has any questions, I'll get back on track with the class.

After their little chat answering the questions, he lifted up an eraser to clear out the board. He cared nothing if the students couldn't keep up with the class. If they couldn't tackle pressure, they certainly couldn't even tackle greater evils that lurk in this world. After swiping left and right fiercely upon the board, he picked up the chalk again with his back facing the students and amazing speed on the board. He would write the most important things on the board and then proceed to his speech portion with lesser important information, but still necessary for the class. It didn't seem like he was thinking about he was writing at all. His right hand that grasped the chalk seem to move on its own.

Demons have existed since the very beginning of recorded time. That being said, myths and legends often tell of these beings being the product of possession and all of them have a precise function both in the afterlife and on this earth. The earliest recorded demon was named Anubis in 4000 B.C. His sole and lonely purpose was to guard the dead and make sure their passage to the afterlife was given righteously. He was a drifting demon, which means he was in neither of both the living or dead world. Drifting demons are the type that have zero weaknesses unless moved outside of their middle area that no one except the passing dead should reside within. If these type of demons decide to move to either the world of the dead or the living, they are weak and can be killed rather easily compared to other demons. Anubis attempted to cross to the world of the living to see the his beloved wife one more time, and he was killed instantly by Amhenhotep III, who wanted to killed a so-called "god". This very man was consumed the demon that dwell within Anubis, and thus became Osiris, which had the same function and returned to the world in between. Drifting demons can easily overtake any body they desire, even though they wipe their own memory when invading a new body and they are extremely rare. There is only ever one of these in any world and are never found among normal society because their sole purpose is to be watchers of the dead. That being said, they are ethereal and some memories within the body they invade still remain. Nowadays, Osiris was slain because of his desire to escape to the world of the dead and has become who we know today as "the Grim Reaper", "Davy Jones", and many other nicknames that don't need mentioning.

The second demon we will discuss in this class is the second demon to be recorded in ancient times, which was Hades. His type is known as underworld ruler demon. They are at their strongest in their realm, which is the realm of the dead. They are known to be born an ethereal being with a body to have the ultimate power from the start and are not know to exit their realm very frequently because that is where they gather their strength and essentially have vast amount of spiritual energy. Hades was known as tinkerer of corpses and other lesser spawns of demon, thus making his pet, the three-headed Cerberus known in many legends and myths. He is a cold and stern demon who prefers not to know anything about what he calls the Upperworld and only cares for his own in the Netherworld. Yes, I said the word "is" that being said, he still inhabits the afterlife and judges everyone carefully and precisely to which level of hell they are going to. Yes, hell. Nowadays he is known as Lucifer, the first demon, although he is not. Other than the myth that he invades this dimension all the time and is a terrible and false god is untrue. This was gained as an attribute of his because of the next demon we will be discussing, Loki. Underworld rulers are not immortal and can be slain. Their weaknesses tend to be ONLY holy artifacts such as crosses, blessed items, blessed grounds, Holy Scriptures, the images of saints and real gods like the Holy Father, Ra, and Zeus, light magic, and being in the middle dimension or this one, which they're also at their weakest because they do not have an infinite amount of power they can gather. They are the rarest type of demon and it is said that Hades having affairs with a human is was made the first pure-blood vampire. The perfect example of them being vulnerable and able to kill is when Ares, the god of war -which was just a human who had countless victories in this dimension-, invaded the underworld and managed to subdue him to steal Persephone from him IN HIS OWN UNDERWORLD.

The third type of demons are the known as the shapeless ones, and although being rare, it is more common than both the drifting or the underworld ruler. I am a shapeless one. This type of demon has variations in its build and is considered one of the more difficult ones to counter because it doesn't have a solid weakness unless you know its purpose for being. To understand this type of demon, we must understand both Loki and Legion, who are legends of old. Loki was known as the god of betrayal and deception. He could take any form he desired, produce duplicates of himself, use illusion and ice magic, and even some extent of teleportation. He was the result of an ethereal soul entering a human body. Ethereal souls entering a body cause the original user's memory to be completed whited out and remakes them in their own image. Humans are frail against this type of possession and do not require acceptance to be taken over, although they are more powerful when they do accept it because of feelings of hatred, lust, gluttony, etc. This means that these being are fueled by these basic emotions and if you know which one they are, they'll be a lot easier to counter. Loki was a demon fueled by envy. His brother was better than him in everything and thus accepted this being into himself. Shapeless ones are not to be confused by the small fry that are called spawns, incubus/succubus, reapers, wraiths, etc. They are far stronger and, as said, they have no actual shape or form. Again, these shapeless ones can be from ethereal beings OR a sum of souls that have gathered for the same purpose. It usually takes no less than 1,000 souls to make a shapeless one. A good example of a shapeless one made by a large sum of souls was the legend known as Legion. It was said he had the strength of a thousand men, he could change his voice and form at his own command, and he had the knowledge of years before himself. Shapeless ones of that kind are actually possessed by the souls of other HUMANS. Yes, humans have the ability to possess beings as long as they gather for the same purpose and do not drift to the the middle dimension -known as purgatory- or the afterlife. They still have the same principle of purpose. If you know their purpose, you know their weakness. Think of the seven holy virtues and the seven deadly sins as a great example of their weaknesses, even if it's vengeance then that's just a sub-level of violence. All of them have an equal weakness though, they are pure flesh and their body is still mostly human. They can only persist in the world of the living. If you can drag them to purgatory, they're goners. This concludes the first hierarchy of demons from the rarest to the most common.

After finishing his vicious writing on the board, he didn't stop at all. In fact, he only just finished laying down his white writing utensil, and taking out a black, leather-cover book from his right pocket, and opening it with his right hand only. He placed his left hand under his chin and began to walk around the classroom in a back and forth type manner. He was to make sure his writings were clear and precise before he continued with his class, so he could have a good turnover with professor Cornelius and his students were well-educated. He began speaking almost a minute after he finished writing all of this on the board. Surely, he didn't expect anyone to keep up.

"None of these in the first hierarchy are to be confused with the second. The second hierarchy is made purely from the first one down. By no means does this mean that they are less powerful, but it does mean they are less important for the purposes of this class. Are there any questions before we continue? If there are no questions, I'd like to get through this as fast as possible. The second and third hierarchy are very brief."

Rei listened to the lecture of the mysterious Professor Locust intently, taking notes of what they thought might be useful, key points. The notes didn't seem as important to them so much as paying undivided attention did, so as to best absorb the information being presented. While professor Locust may have initially presented themselves as somewhat eccentric, that impression would soon be forgotten with their attention to detail, and the manner in which they presented this knowledge on demons. Rei listened and reflected on the classifications of demons. The drifting demons, while being demons, evidently had not much reason to be hunted. Being unable to harm them in their own space, and serving as a sole watcher of the dead, seemingly made them a necessary force in life.

Underworld ruler demons, which sounded as if they could supposedly be beaten in theory, any likelihood was minimal given that they would not often leave their realms. Besides, as Professor Locust said, they seem to be more concerned with their own realm than ours, and like drifting demons, seemingly served some sort of service. These aspects of demons presented Rei with a new viewpoint, or at least shedding light over their prior ignorance to these facts. Too often demons were presented as simply evil beings, but watching and judging the dead were services similar to those people rumored to be the activities of benevolent deities and the like. Certainly, an interesting consideration.

Rei would be surprised briefly upon hearing Professor Locust mention his being a demon, and so casually continue the lecture. Though thinking about it, it sort of made sense. They had just considered about how not all demons were wholly evil beings, so why not the same for Professor Locust? Lending his knowledge of his kin for the advancement of the students at the academy was certainly something admirable, wasn't it? They decided not to dwell on it for long, and continue listening. Still though, upon first hearing of his being a demon, Rei could swear they felt a brief, blistering start in their chest and head, and jolted slightly at this episode. Strange, but probably nothing to worry about, after all Rei wasn't exactly the picture of health, and was accustomed to such strange sudden bodily feelings.

These shapeless ones sounded more like the threats demons were often portrayed to be. And all the more dangerous. Still though, the professor presented the method in which to handle them. In theory, simplicity itself. Though in practice, Rei imagined it would take much more knowledge and practice. Whether it be those of ethereal souls or those of a large sum of souls, this knowledge would prove valuable. Once Professor Locust had finished the initial part of their lecture, Rei placed their notebook down, and shook their head to indicate that they had no particular questions at the current moment. Rei momentarily turned their attention to Juniper, wondering if she was taking this all in as they were. While not exactly a student, she might find this interesting, perhaps? They had also hoped Juniper didn't notice their prior, brief discomfort. She was caring, and Rei wasn't opposed to that, but didn't desire for her to worry herself over something that wasn't likely an issue. In any case, Rei returned their attention forward, awaiting Professor Locust to continue.

Octavia Balam

Professor of magical studies

She had a bit of time for flirtations and so naturally she stopped by to see someone she knew something useful about.. of course it didn't really matter if it was him or one of his students, she simply needed a little snack.. or two.. or ten.. but of course she heard a different voice than expected hammering away at some subject. A substitute, who talked a lot. There was someone like that wasn't there she thought. She listened in on the lecture finding herself quite turned on by the thought of him enjoying hearing himself speak even knowing that historical stories tended to take a bit of detail. In truth she was just projecting her own vanity on someone who was actually working at the moment just to hype herself up for making a new friend. Unethical relationships were afterall the spice of life! Just a peek she thought thinking she'd just have a little look inside the classroom but alas it was not her nature to simply remain hidden and peek inside of anything. She accidently pushed the door a bit too wide and felt herself feeling and breathing in a perverse manner. The possibility of getting caught was not only exciting but felt like a rather attractive option. The students eyes might notice her in the middle of class while she was doing something perverse! How wonderful! While wondering if she could give some sort of exhibitionist show it suddenly dawned on her that the ideal desire from a student would be her knowledge during this hour.. it seemed that some professional commitments had a powerful sobering effect on the mind, even one like hers. She'd have to avoid such occupations in the future to protect her precious addictions!

A bewitching aura would soon emanate from even the smallest crack in the doorway and a strangely glorious woman, who even those without special powers could sense was a demon, nearly incapable of being stealthy in any normal way was peeking in.

Oh... a handsome demon.. he had a mask? Yes she'd encountered this one somewhere before hadn't she? She wasn't very good at telling men or even women apart in all honesty. People afterall were generally just meat to be enjoyed or as some said 'loved' and whatnot. To her his mask was just as much his face as his actual face if any.. perhaps it was more his face to her. The desire to be seen a certain way, especially in a beautiful or attractive way, was something many could relate to or even take advantage of and expressing it so openly with a mask just made such easier to appreciate. She simply opened the door and entered with a bold and quiet strut. She smiled a bit at the substitute professor with a slight glance and flashed a little booklet on hand.

Due to a certain power of hers there would be a potentially overwhelming sense that this was somehow normal and acceptable countered only by free thought, conflicting truths, or evidence of some sort. In addition it wasn't unheard of to have another professor take a few notes on a lesson while seated with the students though there was typically a matter of asking why if anyone cared to question it.

In a moment she had a chance to choose where she would sit and of course she chose to sit towards the back of the class so as to get a good view of every student she was distracting! Or was it to keep from being distracting? Whichever it was she regained her focus suddenly as she seated herself instinctively and quietly noting any possible chance to coordinate lesson plans through what she was observing here. She'd make it clear from her lack of speaking that she had no plans to interrupt that professor Locust was actually supposed to know about. If he wasn't sure who this woman was he might know as she tapped her little booklet and it began to record something everytime he made an audible noise OR if he made some sort of physically observable gesture that was either meaningful or arousing in any way in Octavias mind. This manner of magic along with a bit else was something only a professor of magic or a very talented student of the magical arts would so easily employ and her rather gaudy outfit wasn't exactly something anyone but a professor might get away with as far as proper fashion went..

((ooc: feel free to resist the power of her voice AND expression with relative ease without even need for magic but your character will probably notice this potentially disturbing effect is present whenever she says or does something ))

Juniper flipped open to the next page of her journal, her gaze flicking up and back down to take down what she could in the midst of the lesson that had suddenly broke out. A single question provided multiple answers, evidently - but she wasn't mad about the dump of information Locust had provided them both with. It was... Enlightening, to receive this perspective throughout history. The gods in the past had identities of their own, each crafted and unique but the semantics remained the same; They were all demons. "Mm..." She hummed briefly to herself and connected a few diagrams to ensure the fluidity of her writing. From her satchel, she would place a pressed flower on the page to keep it bookmarked for a later time.

Why the surge of demons now though, what brought them here into this world in a wave of chaos? Juniper gave a slight shake of her head and shut her book, leaving her notes along as the lesson came to an end. She was - satisfied, to say the least. She had learned much despite the eloquent tone of his speech, the flourishes of the professor's hand, the tall tales that seemed too... Undeniably wild to be real.

The little doll briefly rubbed at her cheek, her fingers gliding over the surface of porcelain skin as her eyes wandered... To rest on a figure beyond. Behind them. That woman, she wasn't human. Juniper could feel the power behind that shroud she so displayed herself with - her very presence made the little doll uncomfortable. "I..." She murmured softly to Rei before stopping herself.

She wasn't a student, she didn't need to stay. If she wanted to evade whatever trouble this woman would brew, Juniper could do so - and she did. The petite girl scrounged up her belongings hastily into her satchel, her free hand resting atop the sunhat that was firmly settled upon her head. "I'll be... Somewhere." Juniper dipped her frame down apologetically before hurrying in a frantic stride.

She couldn't stay. She didn't want to.

One met the dark with learning. But in the end, learned his knowledge was wanting.
The world began without knowledge, and without knowledge will it end.
Dost not this ring clear and true?
Fear not, the dark, my friend.
      And let the feast begin.

      ᴛʜᴇᴍᴇ: Soul of Cinder

Continuing on, he looked over all the students and the newly uninvited professor and saw that no one had a question so he pushed forward while standing in one spot. After he physically made sure that no one was confused or had any questions, he would go on to the speech portion of the class. It wasn't odd for students to leave in the middle of class, specially with the knowledge that he himself was of demon-blood and considering two demons in the class. He was already well aware of all the professors within the academy and knew everything there needed to know about this new one. She was a shapeless one, just like himself but based around the principle of lust, meaning the weakness was always chastity, so he would apply it right here right now being devoid of all worldly wants. It was time to dig deeper into these sorts of teachings and preach forward for the second and third hierarchy. He continued his back and forth sway walking on the front of the classroom and speaking.

"The second hierarchy consists of demons worth noting like sprites, incubus, succubus, gargoyles, etc. Firstly, we will start by explaining the simplicity of the seven sins and the seven virtuous to use them against demons. If you know what a demon is based on, you need to clear your mind. This is the first step of course. During this step you are most susceptible to a demon's possession, BUT if you manage to do it in less than a second you'll be fine. The second step would be to think of this holy virtue that can counter said demon and its' meaning. This alone has already made your mind counter the demon's mental attacks upon your mental, emotional, and sometimes even physical state. I won't rain anymore upon the subject because professor Cornelius will be formally teaching you how to implement even more.

Now, to continue on to the second hierarchy are the mighty ones. They are rare demons who are also easily mistaken as gods. Examples of these are Beelzebub, Leonhard, Belphegor, Behemoth, Stolas, Ronwe, and countless others. They are by no means rare and are based on the same principle of weakness as the shapeless ones. You will find that every other demon who isn't an underworld ruler or a drifting one is based on this principle of defense. The earliest record of a mighty one is Stolas in 2000 B.C. during the Greek era. He was known as the demon of the wise and a patron to magic, the occult, and astrology. He was under the wing of Hades and was said to command the possession of worthy bodies for furthering the progress of demon-kind. This was not the case. He could not possess several bodies and it was NOT in this era where demon-kind started to flourish. Instead, demon-kind flourished in 4 B.C. when the human named Jesus Christ cursed the only man who threw a rock, when he said "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone." quoted from John 8:7. What is hidden in scrolls was that there was one man who did throw a rock and for his actions he was cursed not only to live forever but also became the first actual mighty one. Mighty ones are able to produce other lower demons. There is no solid evidence of the name or whereabouts of this man, but it is believed that he still lives on in this world and keeps producing other demon souls, which is why nowadays demon-kind has flourished more than ever. This means that until then demons were very, extremely rare overall. Any average amounts of demons produced by the mighty ones is assuming numbers, but they can produce other mighty ones, spawns, incubus, any others mentioned in this class after them, and VERY RARELY they will produce a shapeless one.

The next demon in the second hierarchy are the artificials. They are purely made from the any other type of demon in any hierarchy and do not require a demon soul within them. In fact, most of them do not even have a soul. This being said, they're also not human unless made by human body parts. Cerberus is the best example of what we are referring to as artificials. The next example of how a humanoid artificial would work even if it's a fictional piece of work is Frankenstein. This also means that they're not weak to whatever other weaknesses I have mentioned and are a lot harder to counter unless you were their creator. There's honestly not much information about them at all other than they are very hard to create and they will usually not live for a very long time unless you can supply them with some endless amounts of energy. Cerberus still lives but only because his master supplies him the infinite energy of what we perceive as hell, but he wouldn't live otherwise. This concludes the second hierarchy.

The third hierarchy are all called spawns. They're easy to sum up and usually very weak. That doesn't mean they're always weak, but the ones that aren't are usually an anomaly. Within the spawn criteria are sprites, incubus, succubus, imps, trolls, leprechauns, and quite a few. The history of them existing is all over the world. They're all very common, are also weak to one of the seven virtues implemented spiritually, physically, and mentally. I won't go into their history because of the fact that there's history of their existence all over the world whether it be from folklore or myth. This isn't for the purposes of class, but the one I find the most interesting is... the mothman.
      "

After that he let out the most joyous of laughter trying to not dishearten the class with so much verbal information. This was the moment that he promised the most and his time giving the class was almost over as well. The bell was about to toll and the next class was Vampire studies from his colleague and dear friend Dr. Alderliesten. He would speak once more to make sure the students knew what was going on as he walked his way to the chalkboard to steadily start erasing it.

"Now... Time for the exam! It's one question and if one student yells the correct answer, you are all free to walk to the next class and you ALL pass. I will promptly write it on the board. Oh, and the next class is Vampire studies. Make sure you don't put a stake through her heart please."

His demeanor was of lightheartedness and he was calm at all times without so much as a worry in the world. Just educating people brought a smile under his mask. After putting the eraser down on the resting area of the chalkboard, he lifted up his white writing utensil and wrote but the simplest of questions and one that he had said at the very last section of the lecture just to keep it fresh.

Which spawn does professor Locust find the most interesting?

That was it? Yes. He wasn't here to fail anyone or to be a boring man. He would let them use the knowledge they had gained here at their own discretion. If they didn't even listen to the class or read from the board, that was on their own time and he was sure they would regret it later during the hand-on sessions by the primary teacher of this class.
