the basics of YM or yellow maze inside dms...
or dead mans shadow!!!
WEAPONS SETS AND INFO
TANKING INFO generally reserved for those 11.4 or higher
TIMETABLE FOR DMS / YM / SPEED YM
HOW LONG IS DMS?
60 to 90 minutes inside YM or yellow maze. it can also be measured in rooms from approx 6 rooms to 21 rooms
watch for the tank to yell GR as its the end of the YM or yellow maze room,
GR means green room and unless has been planned for usually means death to members (especially if your not attuned)
IVE HEARD THE TERM SPEED YM? what does this mean ?
just like it sounds its a faster way to ym thru yellow maze HOWEVER be forewarned of the dangers of speed YM
you must bring wish and bandy just like a back up or BU TANK would do ,
you must also heal others while you and others fight. if you dont have alot of experience with this its NOT necessarily a good idea however if you do have some experience you can often clear ym in about 30 minutes. be aware you don't surpress in speed YM so if your lower level you can get more orbs but you also take more damage, more experienced YM ppl do not get orbs in a speed run so there are trade offs
(you stop getting orbs for a speed ym about 11.5) you normally surpress at 11.4 to continue getting orbs. for level 12 ppl speed ym is essentially useless at that point
ODD AND USEFUL INFO
WHAT TO UPGRADE FIRST AND SECOND AND THIRD
WHAT DO I UPGRADE FIRST? AND WHY?
attacks
buffs
tank rings
ALWAYS upgrade in this order
why? high level buffs are useless if you got a level 12 buff but your attacks are only level 10 you will deal less damage to the animated plus crews can get annoyed if your buffs are too high for a newer user.
best to just upgrade in that order and do it to all attack rings first
its also just common courtesy to do it this way for other players of YM

first of all its preferable to have all your buff rings up to level 10 and here is the list of buffs, only those bolded need to be level 10 when you first start
* TANK - IRON / OTHER TANK STUFF -this is covered below in detail
*:ADRENNER:* - KEEN / TEF
ROCK / HALO
COY / POT
DIV / GHOST
SPHERE / DENS
*:adren :* is often switched to the highest user and not necessarily keen / tef
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING ASSIGNED IRON BUFF IF YOUR NEWER TO YM it wont be done so if that buff isn't 10 it wont be worried ok same with adren
*if below 11.4 do not worry about anything tank related as you wont be able to do this task anyway a BU or back up tank is only needed for newer tanks but only carries parts of a tank set like wish and bandy
be sure to have all your weapons up to 10 that are normally used in YM or yellow maze these include AND please only choose 4 of these (after attunement you can do 3 but before then all 4 please)
GUNS, GUNS, GUNS, / HACK / SLASH / MANTIS / SHURIKEN / BUMP
you can bring the following but there not preferred but can be used
KNIFE SHARPENER / SOLAR RAYS / SHARK ATTACK
*tanks often use solar rays as part of there protection
NEVER EVER BRING THE FOLLOWING TO YM AT ALL YOU COULD BE KICKED OR ASKED TO NULL OR YOU COULD BE ASKED TO NULL THEN KICKED ANYWAY
HORNETS NEST / GUMSHOE / FIRE RAIN / HUNTERS BOW / DERVISH
please ask before bringing the following ring /(s) some crews ok with it but others not so much AND you cant really use it after being attuned
HOTFOOT / SCAREDY CAT

WHAT IS THE FULL TANK SET?
EARLY TANKS who haven't done it alot
WISH, DIAGNOSE, BANDY , *MEAT, IRON, SOLAR RAYS, *SWEETHEART, FORTUNES FAVOR / FITNESS (or both) or DEFIB
* (some tanks go whats called veggy as they make the transition from early to later tanks. early and late are only used by this person and would be more likely to be called more or less experienced tanks)
*some tanks like sweetheart or SH RING but its not normally required to use to tank
LATER TANKS who have done it alot
WISH / DIAGNOSE / BANDY / SOLAR RAYS / FORTUNES FAVOR / DEFIB / FLEET OR SUGAR RUSH
WHICH RINGS DO BU OR BACK UP TANKS CARRY NORMALLY? this is strictly for YM or Yellow Maze and is not for GR or Green Room
WISH / BANDY / *DEFIB / FITNESS OR FORTUNE (but not normally both)
*depends on person doing bu or what the main tank may ask for
most if not all tanks also carry these as well
revive / super chargers or SC's for short / GHI AMPS and may carry other items including a fluff just in case so that they can mark which door they went thru just in case a member is BRB or Be Right Back
these items are always in a second tray not with the first items

some points of interest while going thru the game
> BD usually means Big Door but can also mean Big Dog so please pay attention as to what is being referred too here (map vs enemy)
> BL usually means Bottom Left but crew sometimes talk about a separate room called Blood Lust however if your just in YM your most likely talking about Bottom Left
> NF or Night Fright means the tank may need a few more seconds to prepare.
please wait for the IN sign or signal to enter if this is the case
> MIMIC- this is a chest inside YM that attacks the tank, if a tank enters a room and they see a trunk they need to check it first
non mimics are no higher than 500 health points while MIMIC chests are easily 10,000 to 15,000 health points
if its low level chest anyone can kill it on there own if its high level the WHOLE crew must attack to defeat it
trunks may say 11.4 or 12.0 but if its like 460 health then it dont matter anyone can take it on themselves
inside GR trunks only have 1.0 health but are 800 or 1000 hp this is just in case there is a trunk going from ym to gr, someone may want to kill it so the crew gets more plat / gold
the only exceptions to these rules are if the tank SPECIFICALLY says in immediately on a NF or do not attack MIMIC first. these are more rare situations but can happen IF THEY DO SAY THIS please follow ALL instructions they give on this and if the rules change THEY WILL say so and tell you what needs to be done next time or what to change immediately
TNT is Tap aNd Toggle, this means to move your rings around so the tank can take your damage or aggro as its sometimes called
YOLO means You Only Live Once just like irl so the tank is saying just attack the enemy or animated and not to worry about the above TNT method
sometimes yolo methods can backfire and sometimes they are super fast methods it really does depend on how experienced the tank really is at tanking
common courtesy on leaving or in a new area:
yes you can leave a crew early just announce your buffs like rock / halo so the crew and tank know what to expect
no one knows it all the first time you ym or gr or hpr or crypt or bl so it never hurts to ask if you don't know
once you get your buffs and attacks up to level 11 then if you want to consider tanking then get tank rings up to 11 before going on to level 12

SIDE NOTES:
please don't bring your kikis and omg's and fluffs and other animated to ym or gr it can make the game laggy not only for you but for others in crew and that can be considered rude to do depending on the crew or the situation
fixing lag:
remove low signal map
turn music to 0 and sound to like 5
set all graphics to low or remove graphic feature like shadowing
try a refresh (RF) but let crew know ok especially for the tank
