🌙 Aiight so this may seem a bit random, esp for a staff to be making a suggestion but bare with me!
So! NMA currently has a rule where you are only allowed to roleplay a previous stage of one of your Nightmares/Daydreams if you have official art of it. In other words, since I received Miah as a senior, I can not roleplay her as a freshling or junior. However, since I got Lilianne as a freshling, I am free to RP her as a freshling again even though she's a junior now!
Obviously, you are free to do what you want in RPs outside of Gaia, however there is currently no place in the guild where you can RP your Nightmare as a kid. RPing your adult NM/DD is a great way to work on character development and establish previous relationships. It's also great if you want to establish some form of relationship between two characters that, for roleplay purposes, went to school together, but one is an earlier stage than the other!
SO what I propose is that we make another roleplay subforum for past-stage roleplay. I know there's a few people that don't like to RP off of Gaia (since Skype sucks and discord has stupid character limits, and it's easier to keep track of RPs on gaia since you can link to them and such!). Any RP in this subforum won't count towards growth or graduation points and is literally just there so you can have fun RPing your character as a freshling or junior!
So if you're into that sorta thing respond so we know there's enough of a demand for it to make it reality!

Questuon, however; would backlog rp for non arted AND arted characters qualify for roleplay points? Just rps for arted stages? Or not at all?

The caveat to that is that if you have art for a previous stage, you can still use it for roleplay points in the REGULAR RP forum.
Essentially what the subforum proposed would allow is just a place where you can RP previous stages regardless of whether or not you have art, on Gaia, where you can easily link to it from within the safety of the guild! But no RP that takes place in this forum can count towards RP points--at least off the bat! Maybe something could be worked out later.

Would be a cool idea to be able to backlog, specially if your trying to have like a couple that grew up together and wanna set some background ambiance. I’m totally for this.

I feel like this should be implemented. Feels kind of limiting to not be able to officially RP what our students might have gone through as freshlings or juniors. I personally really love the trope of childhood friends to love as adults but we don’t always get these things established with characters that have freshlings art.
