Favor hummed, content, in the knowledge that Papa had read in the constellations. She would be having children with the buck that others thought a scoundrel. Falsehood; she found him amusing but then she could afford to. The MotherFather had blessed her in her name and she always came out for the better in situations. And she believed this would be true of the children, life could favor the scoundrel at times. She basked in the sunlight, surrounded by a number of trinkets that she had accumulated in her life. Shells, gems, fossils, feathers, even fine moth wings. Treasures seemed to be gifted unto her but now she needed to bequeath one, perhaps all of them, forward to the Legendary she knew she would meet today. She wondered what they'd be like.
The sun glinted off the edges as she eased herself forward, shadows melting away from her like water. She'd been watching this doe for some time. One of luck, to be sure, but she knew it to be true, instead of becoming narcissistic in world view."Your luck has made you wise," Lull in Sunlight smiled. It wasn't often she chose to respond to the duty of blessings anymore. In this case, the time was worth it. She was proud, in a sense, of this doe who had realized her fortune and chosen to understand it rather than take it for granted.
"He'll make my children stronger, as will your blessing," the doe replied. She bowed her head, respectful of the great doe that was gracing her with such presence.
"Yes; his survival skills will mingle with your luck and with my wisdom, they will be unrivaled," she paused, adding, "but this does not mean they'll be unchallenged."
"I would expect nothing less," the doe agreed. "May I offer you a pick of the treasures with my thanks?"
The mare considered, a screech of acceptance sounding as her gryphon form settled on a tiny caiman skull, before nodding in agreement.
"You are welcome," and then there was nothing but the flap of wings.
