◆ Galbros was primarily raised by a wizard named Ancantus, who agreed to take him in under the assumption that he was a goblin he could train to be his pet and servant. However, Galbros showed high intelligence at a young age and so Ancantus began to treat him more as an apprentice than a pet.
◆ After doing some digging, Ancantus found that Galbros' mother was a Bosmeri woman named Selea who was captured and enslaved by the Falmer of Blackreach for a few years. When he attempted contact, Selea stated that she didn't want anything to do with Galbros, but that she was glad he was okay.
◆ Though Ancantus was Galbros' sole provider, he wasn't the greatest father figure and would often and unintentionally demoralize him. The Altmer man was quite fond of giving him nicknames such as "mongrel" and "big ears."
◆ Due to his more ghoulish appearance, Galbros was often thought to be less intelligent or uncivilized. Though Ancantus would defend him, he often attribute Galbros' accomplishments to himself, as though he taught him every single thing he knows, which wasn't entirely true.
◆ Galbros became fascinated with language and later began studying linguistics. Since he and Ancantus traveled often, Galbros was exposed to many different languages throughout his life, which helped greatly with his studies. One of the reasons he became interested in language was due to his need for connection and approval, which he often felt depraved of.
◆ Galbros works primarily as a translator, though mostly verbally due to his blindness. He has an understanding of written language, but only through touch.
◆ During his youth, Galbros was a spritely young man who wanted to please everyone. As he's gotten older, however, he has grown bitter and crotchety and isn't afraid to let someone have a piece of his mind. He is still dependent on Ancantus and loathes it, as well as Ancantus himself.
◆The other languages he can speak fluently are Jel, Ta'Agra, and Daedric. He is also familiar with Ayleidoon and Aldmeri/Ehlnofex, but cannot speak them fluently. Galbros had looked into the dragon language while it had relevance, but had since lost interest. He may be able to recognize other languages through speech and inscription, but does not know them well enough to comprehend them.

◆ Ancantus grew up in Summerset Isles to a family of wealthy elven supremacists. Though neither of his parents were Thalmor, much of his extended family was and the Dominion was a common presence in his childhood.
◆ Though he wasn't exempt from his family's ways, Ancantus was considered to be the more "tolerant" one—if it could even be called that. Though he still looked down on non-elven races, he appeared to be slightly more sympathetic than his family, who mercilessly disregarded anyone not even of Altmer blood. Ancantus rather, looked to these people with pity rather than disdain.
◆ Ancantus eventually left Summerset isles from a combination of family drama and to further pursue his ambitions in wizardry. He specialized in conjuration magic, and low-key in necromancy due to its taboo. He also began research into the planes of Oblivion, but didn't gain his peak in relevance until shortly after the Oblivion Crisis.
◆ He lingered around Cyrodiil during the time the Oblivion gates were opened to observe the activity. From this, we was able to add onto his past research and come to new conclusions and speculations about the relationship between Mundus and the planes of Oblivion.
◆ Ancantus had published a few books both before and after his few moments of fame, but came to be known as more of an acclaimed wizard and author after the crisis had been absolved. He ended up becoming a relatively well-known and respected figure among the mage communities and most who dabbled in magic had at least heard of him.
◆ Though in time his fame began to fade and as newer progress had been made, his relevance did too. Though still active in his studies, Ancantus hadn't made any new contributions in the past 300 years. Desperate for attention and to remain relevant, Ancantus has become notorious for trying to force himself into other ongoing projects in hope of piggybacking off its possible success. Because of this, he has become somewhat of a joke.
◆ In more recent years, Ancantus had taken in what he thought was a talking goblin creature. He had hopes of raising it to be a cool pet or servant, but it turned out that it was not a goblin at all, but a half Falmer, half Bosmer child. Despite being a terrible parent, his adoptive son-pet, Galbros, turned out to not be a complete mess. Now fully grown, Ancantus sees him more as an apprentice than a son or pet.
