Funny stuff! I had a lot of fun trying out the new Dualie weapon type yesterday myself.

While I did enjoy that quick burst fire from post-rolling, I wasn't a fan of it locking me in place for a solid second. All in all I think I did pretty well considering short range weapons aren't my forte.

Yeah, that kinda sucks, but rolling would be too powerful if it didn't come with a down side. It makes it so you need to know when to roll or not.

What weapon do you normally use? What weapons are you excited for? I can't wait to try out the new umbrella weapon.

I suppose you have a point there. A lot of the weapons seem to have counter play in mind with the new game. I think Nintendo is really serious about making this their go-to e-sport. The new specials and balancing of abilities is evidence of that as well.

I was mostly a fan of the Gal, Squelcher, and Nozzlenose type weapons. If I was ever feeling adventurous though, I'd bust out the Sloshing Machine. I'm a bit more excited to try out some of the new Sub Items though like the Toxic Mist and Autobombs. I'll admit, the Clash Blaster looks like it would be really good on Tower Control.

Yeah, it's nice to see they're trying to balance things out. I hope it does take off as an esport, the Splatoon 2 tournament at E3 was very fun to watch. It also was nice to see games where invincible specials and Quick Respawn + Stealth Jump weren't being abused.

Oh yeah, some of those sub weapons do look fun. I had fun using the curling bomb when I played as the roller. I'm also excited for that toxic mist, it's very similar to disruptors and I always enjoyed using those.

Blasters will always be good in Tower Control lol. That blaster does look pretty cool though. It's kinda like a rapid blaster + luna in one, which is real scary honestly. It's good that rankings will be separate though. You can't just be really good at one mode and have that carry you to S+ now, you'll have to be good at all modes.

I never got the chance to watch the E3 tournament, though I heard it was good. There's nothing worse than a stale meta game, it's partly the reason why I stopped playing.

Even more exciting is that the direct stated that there's more subs (maybe more specials too?) on the way. Sometimes I feel as though I like subs more than the main weapon.

I was kinda surprised when I saw that the ranked modes got their own separate rank. Although, it will be nice to see what mode I actually accel in.

It's worth checking out, pretty sure it's on Nintendo's YouTube channel. Same here. It became very unfun to play when all you ever saw were the same weapons all the time.

Yep, yep. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing things that they haven't shown off yet. There's also gonna be the weekly updates.

It's a change that I always wanted. As I said, it's good since you can't use a certain mode to rank yourself up all the way. It's also good since if you're bad at a certain mode, it won't hurt your good rank by playing it since they're separate. I know that a lot of people just wouldn't play certain maps/modes during a rotation for that very reason.
