Personality
Kaito has a very shy personality, but, a very stubborn sense of Justice. He likes doing what he thinks is right, especially if he's been told that he's doing the right thing.This us due to his upbringing as a child assassin under his Clan's care. He has a vested trust in adults, since he doesn't have parents who are bigger authority figure. He likes studying in his free time, and acts quite antisocial towards children of the same age. Kaito has no qualms about killing others due to his Clan's care of him. If an authority figure told him to attack anyone, he would soundlessly follow. In addition, dye to his upbringing, he has a nasty tendency of wanting approval from authority figures in his life, especially if they seem worth learning from. As a continuation of his crippling flaw, Kaito desires affection from others, especially from women authority figures, this stemming from his absent parents. This is because of brief presence of his mother early in his life, causing the boy to gravitate towards women more than men.

History
Kaito was born to no parents in the Kishi-Shizen Clan. No, he is not an orphan, but, his parents are not given responsibility for his life. So, Kaito was instead taught by the Clan itself, taught in the Kishi-Shizen Clan's assassination techniques. Because of his manifestation of Swift Release early in age, Kaito was able to secure his his first assassination kill at the ate of eight, before he was enlisted to the academy.
