The truth is, before you found me, I was alone. I had been alone for two years already. When I was five, one of the last things I got to experience before my birthday was losing both my parents to some unknown virus or disease. So for the past two years, I had been living by myself with no real friends or family. I don't want to admit it, but what I thought was my boys only used me for my money, or rather what little my parents left me behind. I had grown cold on the inside but forced myself to smile on the outside when interacting with anyone, and I think the reason I acted so strongly when you took me was that I was instinctually trying not to get hurt again.
