His second concoction is a little less pungent, but that was probably because the smell coming off of it was a lot more earthy, like some kind of wet swamp. The mixture itself, once he'd gotten it all together, reminded him of a swamp as well. It was greenish brown, ran like ooze, and he had trouble sucking it into the syringe when it was time to test it.
Setting the mixture in for testing gave immediate results. He couldn't tell exactly where the screams were coming from, but he could tell they were a response to what he'd made. Success! Mimsy would be proud.
