Now this was more her cup of tea - not that she was prepared to drink anything she made here at Bates, but she was happy to try and concoct something that might potentially explode. One could only hope!

Maebe signed her Non-disclosure agreement and set to work on her first potion. It was a fizzly, boring thing, which never really came together when she mixed it. For a moment when she tried to test it anyway the readings went haywire, but nothing of note came from it. An utter and total failure, quickly thrown away to try again.

Her third and final mixture turned a beautiful translucent blue, before it fogged up and became something of a galaxy within its bottle. She sucked it up into the syringe and tested it immediately. What she received was a success - it was generating some sort of magnetic field that was disrupting the readings. That certainly felt harmful enough to her!
