Does anyone else crochet or knit for charity? I've gotten back into crochet and knitting after a pretty long dry spell, and right now I'm working on blanket squares and hats for Knit A Square. Here's a link to the charity's website if anyone's interested, it's even got patterns!
Knit a SquareMy favorite things to make out of their patterns are the knitted "simple beanie", and the crocheted "stretchy crochet hat" and "mitre square".
This sounds like a wonderful charity to help out with knit and crocheted items. It would make a lovely CAL for the guild. And at the end of the CAL everything gets sent to this organization.
I love donating crocheted items like hats, scarves and mittens to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. There's nothing more fun than making items and knowing that they're going to help someone.
