Personality:
❖ Ezra is usually a very reserved person. He doesn't usually talk much, which often causes others to be the ones talking. However, when he does become talkative, it generally means Ezra has grown fond of someone and trusts them. But, like everyone, he has no immunity to anger, and loses his temper easily when there's drama or someone throws a tantrum for no reason; which happens a lot surprisingly. When he's angry, his voice isn't so hard to hear anymore and he has a very weak will, often saying things he'll later regret. Ezra has a hard time opening up to people due to his fear of losing the people he cares about, but his trust is actually very easy to gain; it's getting him to admit he's comfortable with and fond of a person that's the tricky part.
History:
❖ Ezra was born in Snowbelle Town, but his family moved to Nimbasa City soon after his birth. It was there that he and his younger sister, Clarissa, were raised. But, his parents were workaholics and were always too busy for him and his sister, so they were raised by their wet nurse, Sophia, who became their mother. Eventually, Ezra's mother became offended that her own children called her by her name while the servant was called "Mom" and "Mommy", and she had Sophia fired and sent back to her Kanto hometown of Cerulean City. This caused Ezra to realize just how selfish and hurtful people were, and he closed himself off to everyone but his sister. Being only seven at the time, it was a disturbing concept that he could make such a choice, and his parents attempted to send him to therapy. This attempt failed, though, since he refused to speak to his therapist.
❖ When he was fourteen, during a vacation visit to Snowpoint in Sinnoh, his frail-born sister was struck with a horrible cold. She eventually succumbed to the disease, leaving behind her Togepi that was adopted by Ezra. Since her death, Ezra had become far more reclusive, not willing to open his heart only to have it broken again. Losing the people he loved became a sort of phobia to him. It didn't help that his parents openly admitted that his sister was "only going to cause trouble for him" and that she "was a burden on family finances". And, this drove Ezra to an attempt at suicide.
❖ His method was hanging, and to make sure he was left alone, he went into the forest. Of course, the universe couldn't just let him die. The tree he intended to use was an oddly-shaped one, and when he stood on the stool, it transformed from a tree to a Pokémon. Xerneas, the Pokémon that granted life, had awoken from it's slumber to stop him and sat with Ezra. When it left, Ezra returned home and returned to his life. It wasn't the last he saw of Xerneas, however. It returned to him from time to time and spoke with him, eventually deciding to leave and return when Ezra was ready to leave home and travel.
❖ For five years, Ezra had been learning to care for Pokémon so that he could one day raise and take care orphaned or abandoned Pokémon in the wild. When he learned all he could from reading and observing, Ezra was ready to embark on a journey to learn all it could teach him. And, journey he did. He caught many Pokémon that helped him gain the knowledge necessary to care for them, and he challenged leagues to gain wisdom from more powerful trainers. At twenty-two, he'd become a champion of a few different regions, but retired from his trainer days to begin his career as a Pokémon caretaker. He lives somewhere in the Santalune Forest; close enough to society should he need something, but far enough to where he can work and care for Pokémon in peace.
