A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
Journey of the Jedi There seems little hope of finding Jorro Bryor. The circumstances of his disappearance are still unknown. His daughter bravely left home and has found herself on a search for her long lost father while on the run.
There is unrest in the rebellion as supplies are hard to come by. Only one man and his small freighter have been able to get to them. That is until he was captured. There seems little hope for the rebellion at the moment! They need those relief supplies and soon.
The story begins with our heroes aboard an Imperial ship. Perhaps there are much needed clues here to help both the rebellion and Aleca's endless search. Only time will tell....

There is no fear when friends trust each other.
The First Order is terrorizing the galaxy. Their leader Kylo Ren has created a planet size cannon and blown up the homeworld of Aleca Bryor. Captured while trying to escape the elite army sent to retrieve rebels. Aleca is being held in a Galactic Cruiser waiting to be interrogated and sent into slavery or worse, killed. She is no more closer to finding her father than she was when she set off from home. She is currently unaware of the demise her planet. She sits alone in her cell waiting. Meanwhile, Riven Stormchaser has been brought aboard the same cruiser. Captured on the same planet but in a different region he was brought on board not long after Aleca. Riven however has no plans of waiting for his inquisition and execution. He slips out a tiny metal object from his boot and walks over to the control panel and pries it open. Using the skills he's learned over the years as a smuggler manages to open the door. Knowing he only has seconds before the guards turn and react Riven uses something he swore to himself he'd never use again. The guards fly across the hall and hit a wall hard. He grabs a blaster and takes both of them out as quietly as possible. No one has noticed as he did it point blank range. muffling the sound and the detection. Slipping down the hall all the cells are open but as he turns down another corridor there is one cell locked and under guard. Only one. All the others are open and empty. Riven slips back into the previous corridor and finds the room where they put his lightsaber. He also finds a small orb and what looks like a large computer chip and one deactivated BB Unit. He must decide if breaking into the other cell is worth it or just leave...

Many things were going through his mind, cascading like water over the edge of a high cliff. He was far from free at this point and getting off a galactic cruiser was not going to be easy. Thankfully the knowledge of one's impending doom makes for excellent motivation. Already he was planning several steps ahead, adjusting as necessary each time a new point of consideration came into play. Now was a perfect example.
The smuggler in him immediately grabbed the orb and the computer chip, both likely to fetch a price to someone if nothing else. The BB unit was a temptation of a different sort and he couldn't resist. He quickly powered it up and prepared to silence it if needed. "Don't make me regret this little droid."
Strapping the lightsaber back onto his belt, it was time to find out who was in that final cell which warranted such security. Tossing some spare bits down the hallway bought him the time to get in a shot for each guard. The door slid open after some careful lock picking and he peered into the room.
A young girl? "Today your luck is improving," he said with a grin of boyish charm.

"A young girl?" Says Aleca, looking up confused as if the man was standing in the doorway of the wrong cell. "Oh, hello." She said brightly. She smiles brighter upon seeing her droid. "BB-3!" She leans down to examine her droid. Riven upon seeing the girl is a little startled by how gaunt she looks. The usual soft pallor a lot more dull and slightly sunken in. Kylo Ren's army have not been treating her well. Her brilliant blue eyes dulled from darkness and lack of care look up at him desperately. Her clothes are travel worn. She has on a long dark brown coat, with two layers of shirts on underneath. Brown khaki pants and boots. A ruby red bracelet is around her wrist and there seems something about it that leaves him wondering. Her hair is in a ponytail and the traditional braid that Riven removed from his own hair ages ago lingers on her right side. She has a bright blue kyber crystal around her neck. It's worth a lot on the black market. "Are you here to rescue me? Did the rebels send you?" Her voice is weaker than he expected. Her swallow is very loud trying to soften a parched pallet.

"Rebels? I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm just trying to get back to my ship and put as much distance between myself and the First Order as possible."
As she leaned in to examine the BB unit, he noticed had a better chance to take in her appearance. From the ragged clothing to the few accessories she wore, it was clear to him that she'd been through a lot.
The bracelet held his attention longer than anything else as something about it seemed familiar, but distant. Like trying to see through a foggy haze of old and forgotten memories. The kyber crystal around her neck reminded him of his own pendants and he absently reached up to run fingers over it without realising it.
"I think we should get out of here and then we can talk all you want. Are you okay to move? We've got a ways to go to get off this ship and I'm not exactly sure how I plan to do that part .... yet."
It was true he didn't have a plan and was improvising as he went, but that was nothing out of the ordinary. Although now he had to consider another person and a droid into the equation. It could actually prove useful.
He gave a listen and then carefully peered out into the hallway, clear so far but not likely to last.

"You're not with the rebels?" Confused she looked at the young man. "Ah, I see." Trying hard to hide the disappointment.
"I can move as quickly as you need me to. I could use a blaster. Shouldn't be a problem. BB-3 please go to the terminal and access the map of this ship and download it. Make sure no one tracks your access." Watching as the droid quietly accesses the information needed. "BB-3 will guide us." She lays a hand on her lightsaber and smiles weakly up at the young man. He knows where they keep the fighters. It's three floors down on the flight deck. Problem is it's heavily guarded. We can board a tie fighter and head the nearest outpost maybe barter a way back to the planet. I don't know." She slips into a room and comes back with two bottles and a small brick. "Food... I needed to stop at the cafeteria, I was hungry." She tries to slowly eat and drink. Sharing a bottle of water and half the brick. "It's not much..."

The disappointment was well hidden but not missed in both her voice and expression. He surmised that mean she must be with the Rebels, which made him wonder why they had not come for her. Or maybe they still were. He had to stop that train of thought as it was distracting him. He was about to step out into the hallway and begin moving, but held back as she gave the droid instructions and then relayed the results.
"Handy little droid you have there." He took the information and considered the plan, "We'll likely need a distraction then or we'll never make it onto a ship let alone off this behemoth."
He accepted the offered drink and food, having not realised how hungry he actually was until that first bite. He forced himself to refrain from consuming it all like a snacking Hutt, trying to wrap it up and stuffing it into the satchel bag he had. He picked up one of the weapons off the still unconscious guards and offered it to her.
"It's the best I can offer at the moment ... Lead the way, I'll follow you two."

Aleca smiled weakly, unsure of this stranger feeling through it all she could in fact trust him. At least enough to get off this damn ship. Aleca looked down at the small droid and smiled softly. "He was a gift from my mother. So I wouldn't be alone. BB-3 I'd like you to plant that mini detonator above the flight deck. Wait for us to be in the hanger and set the charge when you get back. Alright, give me the instructions on how to get to the hanger before you go." She listens to all the droid has to say and it rolls away beeping softly. "They won't notice him. No one pays attention to droids on here. Thanks, this gun will come in handy. You are just full of good ideas." Aleca leads them down one hallway and then another. Waiting patiently between troops of troopers stomping down the halls. Keeping to the shadows like an assassin. They take a lift down and onto a platform behind some cargo. "Welcome to the flight deck." The explosion is muffled above their heads. Aleca doesn't even look up. The droid silently rolls up next to her. Aleca looks to her new companion and signals him silently forward as all the troops file towards the explosion. The few left are easily overtaken. They board a tie fighter. From the maps Riven can see the planet they are still orbiting the planet both were taken from. Aleca can't really see the controls and holds the gun controls. "Well, our fate is now in your hands, good sir." The droid sits heavily in Aleca's lap but she makes no complaint.

The girl had a quick mind and a personality that didn't directly conflict with his, so that was a definite plus. Normally he wouldn't have opted to join up with someone, but something about this seemed more than just coincidental. "I'll bet he's handy in many situations. I'm decently good with mechanical things, but mostly what keeps me in the air and out of trouble." He smiled as they headed out, following in stealthy silence.
He felt more in his own element once on the TIE fighter and it only took a moment or two to gain enough familiarity to fly it without potentially making either of them nauseous. "If it's all right with you, I'm going to land on the planet below near where my ship should be." He pulled out a small device and activated it, gaining the coordinates of his ship and remotely accessing its data to ensure it was still safe.
"So far so good, looks like we made it out without a fuss .. an unexpected surprise. So, we have some time ... what's your story?"

"Yeah, my little droid is full of surprises." She says softly trying to sit around him a little so his entire weight isn't on her. She settles comfortably and sighs softly.
The lone tie fighter isn't noticed as it slips away from the docking port. Normally it would be anchored down but this one was about to be in use for missions unknown. They assume the launch was their idea. The tie fighter is contacted a few times but only to relay orders as to it's mission which is to search for rebels.
"My story.. well, I think we should introduce ourselves first. Don't you think?" She smiles a little. "My name is Aleca Bryor. You are?" Looking down at the man in the front cockpit. Just as he goes to answer a meteor field comes up and Aleca concentrates on the backup systems helping him navigate. They pass the worst of it. "Never a dull moment..."

He didn't honestly expect for her to tell him everything, they did just meet afterall and for all she knew he might not be trustworthy. He was. Mostly. So when she deferred the answer to the question in favour of pleasantries and introductions, he couldn't help but smile.
"Nice to meet you. You can call me--", the sound of sensor alarms going off interrupted him and he turned to see what th cause was. A meteor field? Fabulous. Looked like he would finally get to see how well one of these REALLY handled.
After a few close calls, and with Aleca's help navigating, the ship successfully exited the field and back into the silence of empty space. He gave an exasperated sigh, and turned again to finish what he started.
"No kidding. As I was saying, Riven ... Riven Stormchaser is the name."

A deep breath filled her lungs as the space between them and the ground was slowly decreasing. "Cool name." She smiles looking out the window towards the ground. The hatch pops open and they slip out of the ship. BB-3 rolls off the ledge and onto the ground kind of hard but recovers easily. "You are heading off to your ship which I assume is nearby. So, I guess this is where we part? Thank you so much for rescuing me." Offers hand slightly awkwardly to shake his. Looking up at him not sure what the reaction will be. BB-3 kind of sounds a little sad mumbling to itself. "I heard that you little brat." Aleca looks down at him eyeing him like a mother slyly catching the child with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar.

It felt good to have boots on solid ground again, and he took in their immediate surroundings as Aleca was emerging from the TIE fighter. "Well yeah, that was my plan all along." It seemed awkward to part ways here, and there was still an awful lot that he had questions about and hadn't even had the chance to ask.
"You're part of the resistance right? You can contact them from my ship if you need to." He smiled at her with one hand on his waist, "... we make a good team y'know. Maybe .... the Force brought us together for a reason. To help each other ...?"
He sounds like he wasn't sure he believed it, and lacking conviction he didn't think she'd believe him either.

Aleca paused looking at him, not at him... through him. Using the force the way she had been taught. She raises her right hand concentrating hard. She is scanning him for any signs of betrayal and the dark side. He senses her search but she isn't searching for anything intrusive. In fact she is very respectful with her scan. She slowly opens her blue eyes and looks right into his eyes intently saying calmly, "I need to get to Takodana. It's not too far from here. I was planning on cargo ship hopping but if you wish you are welcome to come with me. Unless your destination is.. urgent? The force works in mysterious ways. The force led me to the rebellion. It has also lead me to you. You freed me when you didn't need to. I trust you." She smiles. "So where we go next is up to you."

The feeling was familiar but it had been a long time. One couldn't really "shut off" sensing the Force, especially if one had any sort of training and he'd had plenty. There was a time when it all seemed so straightforward and simple and he believed what he was taught, but when the war started ... things changed. He could have blocked her, but didn't since he sensed nothing negative in her intentions. Admittedly he sensed a bit about her as well, at least her emotional state and some of her intentions.
When her eyes opened he met them directly, as he had been watching her the whole time. "Takodana? I think I can manage that. I might even be able to do some trading there and make a tiny profit as well."
He checked once more to ascertain they had everything they needed, and then took a few steps in the direction of his ship. It was not immediately visible, but only a bit of a walk away. "There should be enough supplies on my ship we can rest, recharge and then head out."
