Didn't really get into this one, how good is it? The best way I can describe IBO for others wanting to get into it would have to be that it is quite different from standard gundam series. There's no overall major war going on with two factions duking it out. The battles don't have beams going all over the place, so it's all ballistics and more true to real science outside of the reactors.
The setting is 200+ years after that war, where basically a new UN called Gjallarhorn watches over the earth basically as the world police, and we've colonized mars. Mars wants to be independent of earth, and to do so a woman named Kudelia decides to go to earth to negotiate this independence. She contracts a security group who'll be called Tekkadan for the job who will protect her from the people who want Kudelia dead to keep gjallarhorn and the world's hold over mars.
That's the basic premise, but this story is actually very serious, realistic and shows a dark side of war. In the first season you're watching the protagonist side as they are underdogs, fighting to keep to their mission and in the second you see the fruits of what they've done to influence the world and the conflict that comes from there. I highly recommend it, the writing team for this show is great, although there are some backstory episodes, everything shown is for the purpose of the story so stick with it! I don't want to spoil anything, because the secrets of this show are that good. Good characters who you grow to like, a story that goes deep into the series and conflict that is deeper than what you see on the battlefield.
