Most worst finishes (AKA the unlucky dog) - My deepest sympathy.
PICKINGYou pick one driver per race, only one.
You CANNOT pick the same driver as someone else.
Picking is done on a first come, first serve basis.
As long as they are available, you may pick the same driver week to week, or a different driver each week.
Choose wisely, once you make a pick, you cannot change it. Exceptions for invalid picks or failed to qualify will be given though...
Picking opens TUESDAY the week before each race at 9:00PM EST.
Picking closes NOON EST the
scheduled day of the race.
Unlucky Dog rule: The unlucky dog pick will be given to the person with the worst finish in the previous race, IN SO LONG as that finish is 21st or worse. If our worst finisher is 20th or better, there will be no unlucky dog that week. Pick time for the unlucky dog person will be anytime from the end of the race until picking closes for the next race. The unlucky dog will be posted further down in this thread.
There are UNLIMITED autopicks. You get the same points as the unlucky dog/worst picker. You MUST ask for an autopick either beforehand or before the next race picking closes. I will not go back further that the last race to add in an autopick.
If you pick too early or pick a driver who has already been picked, and do not repick, you will be given an autopick for that week.
If for whatever reason the driver you picked does not qualify for the race, you may repick until picking closes. If you fail to do so, you get 0 points and are automatically the unlucky dog.
POINTSYou earn what points your driver earns. If you pick someone who is not eligible to earn points in the Cup series,
YOU GET NOTHING! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!The highest person in the points after race 36 is the champion.
PENALTIESIf your driver for the race receives a points penalty from NASCAR for equipment violations or on track actions, you will also receive that penalty.
If your driver receives a points penalty from NASCAR for actions
off the track, you will not get the penalty.
If the penalty is appealed successfully, it will be altered accordingly
This thread is for picking ONLY! Discussion posts made in this thread will be deleted and you will receive a warning. If it happens again you will get a 5-point penalty per offense. There will be a separate topic for discussion.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will be penalized according to the offense.
TIEBREAKERSPoints Championship -
First tiebreaker is number of wins.
Second tiebreaker is number of stage wins.
Third tiebreaker goes to whomever was ahead after race 35.
Wins Championship -
First tiebreaker is a win from the Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona.
Second tiebreaker is number of stage wins.
Third tiebreaker is points.
Fourth tiebreaker is whomever was ahead in points after race 35.
SPECIAL RACESAdvance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona - formerly the Sprint Unlimited, Bud Shootout, or Busch ClashThis will be picked like a normal race, except no points will be awarded. The highest place finisher will get the standard #1 foam finger. However, if you pick the race winner, I'll throw in a Crystal Box! The win will also count as the first tiebreaker in the most wins contest.
All Star RaceThere will be no official event for us. It's an off week for us. If one of you wants to do something, feel free.
