Gaia username: Robotic Dominican Wanted legacy/villain: Supergirl RP sample: The first thing that Superman had told him after revealing himself to the world was that he would need to get the people to trust him. The first person, and the one that Superman said would be the easiest to convince would be James "Jimmy" Olsen and true enough, Jimmy was more than willing to give him the time of day. Unfortunately, his boss would not give him a break, even as Superboy floated outside their office window. You'd think that a normal human would try and listen to someone with the power to quite literally shake the foundations of the earth, right? "Sir, I really just need a moment of his time to show him something. Superman himself told me to come an-- Superman is dead gone! Now get the hell away from my window before I call the cops!" It was an hour before Jimmy and his boss finally exited the Daily Planet. Needless to say, Jimmy's boss slammed the cab door in his face as he hovered beside it.
The cab pulled away from the Daily Planet and with a sigh he simply flew after the vehicle. It wasn't until the famed reporter stepped out of the cab in front of a crime scene that Jayden made his move. Lifting the young man up and into his arms, he turned in the air and immediately flew for the Fortress of Solitude. "I'll bring him back, I promise!" The photo-journalist in his arms asked hundreds of questions about him though fell silent as the Fortress of Solitude came into appearance. As they landed at the doors to the Fortress all he could do was smile widely. "Okay, spoiler, your best friend Clark Kent is, was, Superman. But he couldn't tell you because of the danger that would come to you and stuff...Don't be mad at him." Within the warmth of the Fortress Jimmy remained silent until the sunstone began to glow and the face of the man who had saved him and become something more than a friend appeared in front of them. Tears filled his eyes and as Jayden watched him struggle with the words to speak to his best friend, he left the room to give them space.
On their flight back to Metropolis he had hundreds of new questions as he claimed to have a job to do as the first photo-journalist to get a word with the new Superboy "Before you start, I'm not a clone. I was a human just like you are now and then one of superman's robots injected more than enough of his DNA to forcibly make me a Hybrid. The result of that was......a lot of good people lost their lives as a result of my powers surfacing." The buildings of Metropolis began to blur past them as they moved through the air, Jayden remaining quiet at the thought of his deceased family. "Anyways, like with Kal, Clark, I'll try my best to be there whenever you nee--" A blast of energy hit him in the back and sent them spiraling towards the ground.
It was the screams of Jimmy Olsen that woke him back up, prompting him to hold the male tight to his body as his body slammed into the ground. Unlocking his arms from around his back, Superboy looked through squinted eyes as Jimmy began to search for whoever had attacked them. "Y-You need to r-run..." Pulling himself upright, his eyes focused on the metallic figure that was slowly approaching the-- Was that a car!? Grabbing Jimmy by the hand now, he lifted the male up and over his shoulder before running him out of the way. Skidding to a stop about ten feet from where the car had exploded on impact,, he put the male down before turning back to face their attacker. With clenched fists he spoke. "Run. NOW!" This time the photo-journalist heeded his words and took off running to a safer location where he could watch the fight without fear. "Something's wrong..." It was only for a moment, but for that small moment it felt as though his head was spinning.
From the cloud of smoke came the metallic figure once more, though this time the energy that he had fired at Superboy was being charged and upon firing, Superboy managed to take to the air to avoid it. His eyes glowed red now as his heat vision was projected from his eyes and towards the metallic figure's weapon. He heard it clunk to the ground and with that, he charged his attacker, his body falling from the air like a star. Superboy managed to get one good punch in, pushing away the cloud of smoke from the explosion from the sheer force of his punch. But, when his attacker hadn't been sent flying away, his eyes went wide.
He felt the metallic hand grip his own before slamming him directly into the ground. "M-Metallo.." Before he could pull himself free, Metallo brought his knee directly into Superboy's gut before dropping him to the ground. Clutching his stomach in pain, he attempted to stand only to be kicked in the face by the villain. His body bounced along the ground like a basketball before rolling to a stop. "K-Kicking someone while they're down? Real classy M." Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he prepared to run only to have a green light illuminate his face. "I forgot...Kryptonite heart...H-Have to get away.." His vision blurred as he attempted to crawl away from the male. He could feel his hands going cold as the light from the sun seemed to simply shine down on him like when he was a human.
"Hurts doesn't it? You know, I honestly thought you'd put up more of a fight given that you're wearing his symbol but I guess I that's simply giving you too much credit. Oh well. With the Big Blue out of the way, no one else can stand against me."
"C-Close...that panel...a-and...see what I...do...to..you.." Now it was getting harder to stay conscious and with no strength to crawl away all he could do was lay on the ground as cold metallic hands gripped him by the throat and lifted him into the air. The feeling began to drain from his body. Was this how he was to die? He'd let Superman down but at the very least he had managed to save some people in his short career, right? Hopefully Jimmy had managed to run away like he had instructed. "Superboy!" From behind Metallo, a small set of hands reached into Metallo's chest and began to pull against the Kryptonite powering the villain. Enraged now, Metallo slapped Jimmy hoping to rid himself of the young man only to discover that the slap had been delivered with enough force to make Jimmy yank the Kryptonite from his chest.
Superboy was dropped to the ground now as Jimmy began to run away from the two, Kryptonite clutched tightly in his grip. Metallo naturally gave chasing leaving a weakened Superboy to watch as Jimmy ran for his life. A young man that knew virtually nothing about him had just risked his life for him and all he could do was lay on the ground? Looking up to the sun above him, he did his best to absorb as much as he could but at the rate at which the Kryptonite was being purged from his system, Jimmy would die. Superboy could feel the heat return behind his eyes and as he picked his head up, his heat vision was expelled in a straight line. It connected with leg and cut straight through it causing the man to fall over.
Jimmy continued to run as Superboy managed to get on his feet. With nothing to power Metallo now, the man was running on a little more than fumes but the longer Superboy remained in the sun the more of his strength he got back. Eyes still glowing red, he stepped in front of the male's slow crawl away. "What was that about not hitting someone while they're down?" questioned the villain as he watched Superboy flex his fingers. "I'm not a classy person." His fist connected with the side of the male's head, bouncing it against the concrete before the male fell unconscious. "OWW!!!!!!" Reeling backwards he clutched his wrist only to look at his now broken hand. Damn Kryptonite. "Superboy! Are you okay!?" It didn't take long for Jimmy to arrive and it took even less time for the police to arrive on the scene. Metallo was kept unconscious as the Kryptonite was placed back into his chest. Some of the police thanked Superboy for what he had done and others still didn't trust him but it was to be expected. Only when he and Jimmy remained did he speak up. "Are you crazy! He could have killed you!" But the male simply shook his head. "I knew you wouldn't give him the chance to do so and I had to help or he would have killed you. In a lot of ways you're like Clark, but you're also very different. I didn't get to help my best friend when he was around, but I will help you whenever I get the chance!" It seemed as though there would be no convincing Jimmy that he could not help but Jimmy's smile was infectious and within moments Superboy found himself smiling along with the male. "Alright, fine. But next time let's come up with an actual plan before you throw yourself in harm's way. Okay?" After the photojournalist promised to tell him beforehand, he wrapped his arm around the male before taking to the skies. Jimmy's boss already hated Superboy for taking the photojournalist away from his job, so the least he could do was take him back before his hatred intensified.
Are you a fan of the series, are you familiar with this character? Yes and yes. Want to test me? Do you promise to be as active as possible if we grant you this privilege? It'd be bad if I wasn't active as a moderator, so my answer to this question is also yes.

[General Information] Name: Jayden Calderon - Civilian Nicknames: Jay, Cal, J.C Titles: Superboy Aliases: Ja-El [Pronounced Jay-El], Jayden Kent Age: Eighteen Birthday: March 15th Star Sign: Pisces Gender: Male Race: Human/Kryptonian-Hybrid Moral Alignment: Hero Personality One of Jayden's most easily noticeable characteristics is the kind, calm, cool, and collected manner in which he carries himself. He is an extremely laid-back young man who is nearly always seen smiling when not put into a tense situation. Jayden tries to see the good in all people, as per Kal's teachings, and often acts as the voice of reason in times of crisis. He tends to speak in a very composed manner, as a result of his upbringing, and rarely acts without thinking. He is also extremely perceptive of the world around him, allowing him to make comments towards others that are geared towards what they need to hear as opposed to what they may want to hear. This has led him to become something of brother to those he comes into contact with as it's easy to speak with him. However, despite his calm demeanor and actions, Jayden is a fun-loving young man who takes joy in hanging out with his friends and cracking jokes. Those who have managed to become his friend will often see this side as much as his calmer side. Seeing his friends laugh and smile brings him nothing but joy. As a result, the calm demeanor often fades when his friends are endangered or hurt in any way. He can become quite reckless and impulsive when he sees his friends attacked before his eyes.
[Personal Information] Height: 5'10" Weight: 155lbs Occupation: Hero, Adventurer Sexuality: Bisexual Likes: Football, Baseball, Winning, The Beach, Traversing Space, Flying Dreams: No matter how old he gets or how powerful he becomes, Jayden's dream has remained the same since he got his powers. He wants to see his family again. Even if only for a moment, all he wants to do is see tham and apologize for what he did. Dislikes: Bugs, The Cold, Feeling Weak, Killing, Kryptonite Fears: Killing Someone, Being Buried Alive Darkest Secret: There is only one survivor of the town that was destroyed when his powers emerged. Her name is Briana and she has been in and out of the hospital due to radiation poisoning. Due to having no living family members, there was no one to pay her medical bills and when he found out, he decided to do something about it. As a result, Superboy has been taking money from Crime Lords, Mobsters, and the like whenever he catches them in order to pay for her medical expenses. The stolen money has given her the treatment she needs and now she is being treated regularly and will continue to be treated so long as the money continues to flow to the hospital in order to pay for the treatments. While he is slightly ashamed about stealing, he is happy that he is giving the girl a fighting chance at life. Favorite Food: Potato Chips Favorite Drink: Root Beer Least Favorite Food: Asparagus Least Favorite Drink: Grape Anything Loyalties: The House of El and Metropolis Intelligence Level: Despite how he may appear to some, Jayden is a young man possessing quite a high intellect. Both his photographic memory and the super speeds at which his brain can process information has given him a leg up, so to speak, over the competition. Thanks to Kal-El's training regiment from Hell, Jayden possesses a great deal of knowledge over quite a wide scope. Generally, he can be assumed to be very well-read and highly qualified on practically every academic subject, from quoting passages from world literature to correctly identifying the model of ex-Soviet ICBMs or the make and model of the guns often used in combat against him. However, he is not a tactician. Jayden works better with taking orders than he does with giving them and often fights using his wits, instinct, and past experiences. His IQ ranks in at about 183.
Dominant Hand: Right Strengths: Hand-to-Hand Combat, Close Combat, Prolonged Combat, Tenacious, Strong-Willed Weaknesses: Stronger Opponents, Kryptonite, Human Casualties, His Fear Of Killing
Cherished Items: The most cherished item in his possession would be the Kryptonian Biotech Armor he wears, but more specifically, the symbol of the House of El that he wears on the center of his chest. What has come to be known as Superman's Shield or Superman's "S" is actually the crest of the House of El and it means "Hope." Wearing it not only provides the people of Metropolis with hope for safety but
Philosophical/ Social Viewpoint: Those with power have an obligation to use their power to protect those without. Having grown up idolizing Superman, it goes without saying that he shares some of the same ideals as someone hailed as the big "Boy Scout." Jayden also believes that all life is precious having been at the epicenter of a horrible tragedy. If he can save someone's life, he will and the thought of sacrificing someone else's life is not something that he condones.
Religious Viewpoint: Jayden grew up in a very religious family but his belief in a higher power truly came into fruition after he got his powers. His name, Jayden, means "God has heard" and for a while Jayden complained and wondered why it was never him being saved by Superman. Then, he was saved by the Man of Steel and was saved from death when his powers emerged violently and destroyed everything around him. Jayden is also polytheistic thanks to having constantly been exposed to Kryptonian ideology and beliefs. Rao has become quite a focus point for him when things go wrong with his powers.
Romantic Viewpoint: For Jayden, love is love. It doesn't matter who you love so long as they love you back. Having said that, Jayden is something of an unconscious flirt. Sometimes the things he says can be interpreted as flirting when in actuality, he's simply being polite. Jayden is also a serial romantic and has never kept a relationship for over a year. He's sure that eventually he'll find someone that he can stay committed too, but for the time being, that person, boy or girl, has yet to reveal themselves. Though he would never say it aloud, part of the reason why his relationships don't last long is because of the life he leads as a hero and a constant target for villains. He'd rather break off a potential relationship than endanger his love interest.
Biography In Metropolis on March 15th, a little boy entered the world. This boy would be named Jayden Calderon and was the youngest of four older brothers. As a small child Jayden would often watch news reports that followed Superman and his fights in Metropolis. The Man of Steel was a true hero to Jayden and others like Batman and Green Lantern were simply imitations to him. The boy had toys and posters of the Man of Steel in his room and often went out of his way to try and stand in areas of Metropolis that were known to fall under attack simply for a shot at seeing the Man of Steel. He used to think "if only I could be one of the kids in the school bus that almost falls off of the bridge." And unfortunately for him, he would soon become one of those children.
On the day of his tenth birthday, his class went to the Superman museum for a field trip. However, on there way back the bus and the surrounding area was attacked by Toyman. The Man of Steel came as expected but as they evacuated the bus, Toyman decided to throw it at Superman. Having been stuck on the bus, when Superman flew straight through the bus Jayden's screams managed to catch the Man of Steel's attention as he fell towards the ground. Superman managed to catch him in time, but for the duration of the fight, had to hold onto Jayden thanks to Toyman never giving him a chance to put the boy down. When the fight came to an end all Jayden could do was cry in fear. Refusing to let the hero go, Superman volunteered to take Jayden back home and as he was reunited with his siblings and family, Superman gave Jayden his cape to calm him down some more before leaving to do his duty as Metropolis' defender.
The two would meet again on his eleventh birthday when Jayden, once again, managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, in order to make up for breaking Jayden's arm in the process of saving the boy, he was given a free day to himself with the Man of Steel. Questions upon questions were asked of the Man of Steel though Superman only had one question for Jayden. "If you could save others, would you do it?" The question was immediately answered with a yes before Superman laughed happily at his enthusiasm. After that, the two males would never again see each other. Later in the year a grim time would come as heroes around the globe and their associates began to disappear without a trace. Having been out in the countryside at the time, Jayden knew nothing of what was going on. But, out in the countryside something bit him.
As he slapped the back of his neck in pain, the crunching of metal could be heard. In his hands was a small robot bearing the symbol of Superman. On a genetic and cellular level, his body was forcibly being altered from the inside in order to graft the DNA of a Kryptonian onto his existing DNA. Sadly before he could think to question where the robot had come from his body heated up as a result of his body immediately absorbing large amounts of sunlight. Jayden fell to the ground and screamed in agony prompting his family to run to check up on him and as they touched him his body glowed brightly before a large explosion of heat and light occurred. When the light dimmed, the entire area around him had been decimated and only ash remained of his family. His eyes closed and he lost consciousness not long after. When his eyes opened once again the scenery had changed.
All around him were crystals of various sizes and shapes and on his body was an armor he could not comprehend. The Man of Steel's face appeared on a hologram before him and immediately began to apologize for what he had done but justified it under the pretense of the world needing Superman. Jayden's immediate concern was his family and as he tried to climb off of the operating table had been laid onto, his body went flying into the wall at super speeds. When the Superman hologram had managed to calm Jayden down enough to be spoken to without fear of his powers damaging himself, the news was revealed about the fate of his family. When Superman's robot had forcibly inserted his DNA into Jayden, the resulting change was a Solar Flare that decimated not only his family who was in close proximity, but the entirety of the small town that they had been staying in.
For two years, Jayden sat motionless within the Fortress, only ever moving in order to eat and sleep. He remained silent as he could not forgive Superman for what he had done to not only him, but his family and the families of those who had been living in that town. Eventually though, as the year came to a close, he accepted that Superman's actions were necessary and the consequences were simply unforeseen. The world needed Superman but he was a little too young for the title of "man" so for now, he would simply aim to be Superboy.
In the two years that would follow, Jayden would come to learn how to use his abilities as well as the functions of the Fortress of Solitude. He would also come to understand the Sunstone technology that housed the Man of Steel's holographic playback which allowed him to speak with him similarly to that of an AI system. Furthermore, he would also go on to learn how to speak Kryptonian as he wished to keep Superman's culture alive in him just as his genetics were in him. Unfortunately good things never last long and towards the end of his second year of training something went wrong.
The Phantom Zone had been opened as a result of one of the sunstone crystals having cracked during Jayden's training with the Superman Robots. The crackstone suntone freed the villain Dominus from his imprisonment and almost immediately the male sought to escape from the Fortress. Jayden engaged Dominus without waiting for Superman's advice on how to deal with the male, prompting the former Lord of Order to call him "Superboy" because he rushed into battle like a child. In an attempt to quickly win the fight, Dominus attempted to use his telepathy to control the Kryptonian-Hybrid but his time in the Phantom Zone had altered his powers. Instead of taking control of his mind, Dominus increased Jayden's rage and sent him into a fury that ended with one section of the Fortress being completely destroyed and Jayden's fist inside of the villain's chest.
Mortified by what he had done, Jayden fell into a deep depression and could not stop his trembling. It took a year of Superman talking to him non-stop about every time he failed to save someone or watched a loved one die, or had to take a life for Jayden to finally pick himself back up. In the following year his training began again, this time with Jayden focusing on Kryptonian techniques of the mind in order to try and prevent such an event from happening again. When it became obvious that Metropolis and the world needed him, it was decided that he would go out into the world and instill the people with hope once more. His re-emergence into the world came on the on the heels of a new attack by Toyman. It took watching Toyman threaten the lives of children and their families that pushed Jayden to the brink and as he broke the sound barrier moving from the Fortress to Metropolis. The problem was that he didn't come down from the brink as after wrecking each of Toyman's toys, Jayden continued to beat on the male until Superman's voice echoed in his ear begging him to stop. When Jayden looked down at Toyman, the armor that the male had been wearing had been ripped to shreds and he could hear the male's throat being crushed beneath his hand. Superman spoke of how Jayden was thinking of Dominus, his parents and how both they and the town had suffered because of his powers but he had to stop blaming himself and let go. After letting Toyman's neck go, small claps began to emerge around him as people praised him for saving their lives.
TV reports and newspapers alike broadcasted the return of the boy that must've had a relation to Superman. "Superboy" was the name given to him much like the Superboy of the past and with his re-emergence into the world, questions immediately arose about the whereabouts of Superman. Given that he could not rightfully tell them that their hero had disappeared, he simply promised to do his best to protect them. It's been two years since then and he has made good of his promise to protect the peace of Metropolis.
[Relationship Information] Friends: Jimmy Olsen | Good | Trusted Confidant After a trip to the Fortress of Solitude and a fight with Metallo that ended with Jimmy saving his life, he and the photo-journalist have become quite close. The reason is partially because Jayden is his last connection to Clark, but also because he wishes to be more active in the life of someone that balances the weight of the world on his shoulders daily. Jayden views the photo-journalist as an older brother and often goes to him in order to confide in him and talk about whatever may be troubling him. He's also given Jimmy a comm link that allows him to speak directly to Jayden at any given moment in case of emergency.
Brianna Smith | Good | Friend Brianna is the only living survivor of the town that was eradicated when Jayden's powers emerged. She is the same age as Jayden and for a long time she remained in a coma, hooked up to life support. As of late, thanks to Jayden's constant visits to her hospital and thanks to the payments he's made to her recovery, she has woken up and is receiving the proper treatment for the radiation poisoning she sustained. She, alongside Jimmy Olsen, are the only people that personally know him as Jayden instead of just Superboy. Like with Jimmy, she too has a comm link that allows her to speak directly to Jayden at any given moment in case of emergency.
Enemies: All Superman Villains | Anti-Villain to Villain | It's Complicated This one goes without saying. Simply by wearing the crest of the House of El he has garnered all forms of villains, both known and unknown. Anyone that wished the Man of Steel dead has redirected their attention to him and he doubts they'll ever come to an understanding in which they can just sit down and talk as opposed to waving Kryptonite at him.
Lex Luthor ("Superman") | Villain | Predecessor's Enemy One of the smartest men on the planet and he'd rather direct his anger, frustration, and money towards the "Kryptonian Menace" than towards the people that he so desperately wants to challenge. Jayden has heard from Kal of all the things that Lex has done in the past including up until Superman disappeared and as a result Jayden believes the man to be absolutely psychotic. Now he's parading around in armor, sporting the crest of the House of El, and trying to champion the people of Metropolis? Can you think of any reasons why he should like Lex? In the end it doesn't matter as Jayden intends to rip every piece of that armor off of him before destroying it.
Family: Kal-El (Clark Kent/Superman) | Hero | Half-Brother Superman serves as the Genetic Material that forcibly gave birth to Jayden's powers and with this loss of his family, the holographic essence contained within the Sunstone is the closest thing he has to family. The male has been training and watching over Jayden's progress for the past five years. While he will never forgive Kal-El for what he did to his life by forcibly altering his genetics, he has come to appreciate the male's presence via the Sunstone crystals.
Krypto the Superdog | Civilian/Occasional Hero | Family Pet/Best Friend When the world's heroes disappeared one by one, Krypto was left alone within the Fortress of Solitude. When no one returned to the Fortress of Solitude the dog fell into a deep depression. However, Jayden's arrival at the Fortress, coupled with the act that he smelled like the family Krypto knew and loved w , brought the dog out of his depression. Furthermore, the activation of Kal's sunstone crystal brought the dog great joy. Krypto is super protective of the remaining members of the House of El and while he may not leave the Fortress anymore, he will guard and attack anyone that threatens his family while within the walls of the Fortress.
Kira El-Zor-El (Kari Kent/Superwoman) | Anti-Hero | Half-Sister/Niece/Cousin He's only seen glimpses of the other person wearing the House of El's crest. He and Superman have got working theories as to who she is as well as why she wears his family's symbol but they're just theories. Without meeting her there's no way to find out who or what she is.
Romantic Relationships:
[Weapon Information]
Kryptonian Biotech Armor: The Kryptonian armor that he wears is more technology than it is armor. Concentrated on its crest, the armor is more like a symbiote. It with the Kryptonian host and ‘reads’ it’s DNA, creating a crest of the familial lineage. The armor also takes on the durability and healing of the host that wears it. So as long as Superboy's healing factor is in effect, the armor will heal itself as well. The armor also helps regulate his solar battery while in area with a red sun, though only enough for him to use his powers for a short time (3 posts). As it is symbiotic, it is able to coat his body on command with his thoughts. However, seeing as he usually does not don a civilian identity, the armor can typically be seen on him at all times, if not under whatever clothing he's wearing.
Kryptonian War Armor:Created with the same technology that comprises his Biotech Armor, the Kryptonian Battle Armor was a suit typically worn when going to war. Given that he's bound to face enemies far greater than the Toyman, Kal-El gave him access to the War Armor and after having bonded to his genetic sequence, it now belongs to Jayden. Like the Biotech armor, the War Armor is symbiotic and takes on the healing ability of Superboy. The Kryptonian War Armor is also more durable than his Biotech armor, affording him a greater deal of durability in comparison to his standard armor. The War Armor is able to retain more absorbed sunlight for prolonged fighting if ever under the influence of a red sun (5 posts). Lastly, the War Armor also augments his strength to that of standard Kryptonian levels, allowing him to fight on a more leveled playing field.
[Ability Information]
Kryptonian-Hybrid Physiology: As a Kryptonian-Hybrid, Superboy's cellular structure is much more dense, resilient, and biologically more effective than human tissue. Strangely enough, he does not seem to possess superhuman strength levels despite his enhanced cellular ability without his cellular structure charged with yellow solar energy. Without such charging, his strength seems on par for a human of his height and weight who engages in regular physical activity. Superboy's body also stores energy actively within his bio-cellular matrix as an energy pattern that is linked to his body's electromagnetic field. As a hybrid though, he is missing some abilities that are typically found within the Kryptonian Powerset.
Solar Battery: Technically, this is the main source of Superboy's powers. As a Kryptonian, Superboy's cells absorb yellow solar energy, and this in turn, fuels all of his powers and abilities. Superboy's cells also store solar energy as well, allowing him to retain his powers under roofed structures or even at night, although he eventually needs a yellow sun to recharge his powers. Superboy can also absorb solar energies of other class stars such as when he absorbed the solar energies of a blue star that increased his abilities to a higher degree and gave him additional abilities. Superhuman Strength: A Kryptonian develops enhanced physical strength after absorbing a sufficient amount of yellow solar radiation. This radiation interacts with the greater than human density, resilience and biological efficiency of their musculature to trigger superhuman levels. While the exact magnitude of their strength is unknown, it is generally accepted that it is sufficient to lift 100,000 tons or more. The specific range is unknown as a their strength, like their other powers, may fluctuate over time. Their strength is also more an act of conscious will on energy fields than actual physical strength. It should be noted though, that as a hybrid he is not as strong as a full-bodied Kryptonian. Superhuman Speed: Kryptonians are able to move at incredible speeds by sheer force of will. Unlike Superman and other full-bodied Kryptonians, Superboy cannot match other speedsters in super-fast movements, reactions, and processes. However, having said that, he is able to visually keep up with their movements but it doesn't help if he can't react fast enough to stop them. He can use this power to disarm opponents with or without heightened reflexes, catch bullets or shrapnel or cross vast distances in seconds. Superhuman Stamina: Superboy like other Kryptonians does not get tired easily. He is able to exert himself at full capacity for 48 hours at max. This is based on his body converting yellow solar radiation directly to energy, but is limited by physiological and psychological needs to eat, drink, and sleep. It should be noted that so long as he has Solar energy to either absorb or utilize from his own battery, he is able to breathe in space without a problem. Invulnerability: A Kryptonian's body is nigh-invulnerable to extreme energy forces. In addition, his immune system protects him from most, if not all, toxins and diseases. The most common explanations for his invulnerability are Superboy having a super-dense molecular structure and/or a supercharged bio electric "aura" which acts as an invisible "force field" around his body within a few millimeters from his skin, and presumably within his body as well. The proximity of this field to his skin means that loose clothes, for example, may be burned off of him, while cloth that is close to his body is protected by the "aura." Heat Vision: Superboy has the ability to expel stored (solar/electromagnetic) internal energy in the form of focused beams of radiation from his eyes. He emits light along various frequencies in high energy bursts that flash-melts materials instantly, weaken structural integrity over a smaller area, such as melting the barrel of a gun but leaving the handle untouched. The maximum temperature of a Kryptonian's heat vision is said to be around that of a nuclear detonation. They can also consciously determine the area affected, down to the microscopic level. Solar Flare: The Solar Flare is the zenith of his solar absorption and it works by forcing out all of the solar energy collected by each and every one of his cells. The end result is an explosion of heat and light that tends to incinerate everything within a quarter mile when used at full power. Naturally those of a super or metahuman variety have a greater chance at surviving the blast, but the same cannot be said for typical humans, buildings, and other weaker objects. He can use the same ability to a lesser extent in order to raise his body temperature to incredible levels and, more prosaically, to turn himself into a living torch by only heating and generating in small parts of his body, such as his hands in order to light up a dark area. Super Breath: Superboy is able to create hurricane force winds by exhaling air from his lungs. He can chill the air as it leaves his lungs to freeze targets. He can also reverse the process to pull large volumes of air or vapor into his lungs. Healing Factor: In the extreme event that Superboy is harmed, either by an alien matching his own strength or other occurrences, he has the ability to heal at a rapid rate, assuming that the process is not impeded from some outside factor i.e. Kryptonite, Red Sun Radiation, etc. This "healing factor" is supplemented by his storage of solar energy and also seems to be an unconscious ability, as Superboy does not seem to have the ability to control when he heals and when he doesn't. Much like a human has no control over their immune system. Due to the highly charged nature of his solar storage systems, his immune system deals with most normal poisons and diseases quickly and with no ill effect. Radiation and similar harmful energies are similarly neutralized. As a Hybrid though, his healing is considerably slower in comparison to that of a full-bodied Kryptonian. Flight: Kryptonian muscle tissue, when super-charged with solar-energy, can generate a powerful gravitational field. These fields in combination with Superboy's personal bioelectric field give him the ability to negate gravity, allowing him to fly. When in flight, he's fully suspended by this energy, almost completely repelling earth's gravimetric influence over him. He becomes his own center of gravity, and no longer has to physically leverage against the gravity of whatever planetary body he's on, or any object. Under one Earth's gravity Superboy is capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 8 as opposed to Kryptonians and speedsters that usually clock in around Mach 10 or higher. Superboy also has the ability to fly in outer space. He has been seen to fly to the moon in minutes so it can be assumed that he can fly faster than that outside of atmospheric interference.
Photographic Memory: An ability all on his own that comes without the Kryptonian powerset. Jayden's photographic memory allows him to see something once and recall it with little to no trouble. His photographic memory helped him learn Kryptonese within the span of a few weeks and also allowed him to figure out Sunstone technology within the span of a month. Torquasm Vo: Torquasm Vo is a Kryptonian discipline that Jayden has been learning to utilize as of late. It is considered to be a "mental martial art" and is essentially a means of focusing one's mental discipline to help fight adverse effects such as mental domination. However, as he has only recently begun learning how to utilize Torquasm Vo. Expert Combatant: In many if not all combat situations, Superboy makes use of an improvised fighting style that relies on overwhelming force and speed. Having trained against the Superman Robots within the Fortress, he has become quite adept at holding his own in combat against stronger opponents. Still, there is no formal training behind his fists as he is essentially just a brawler. Multilingualism: Jayden is able to speak and write, English, Spanish, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Kryptonese. Likewise, thanks to Kal-El's continued help, he has been slowly learning other alien dialects. Through precise muscle control, he is also able to mimic the voices of other males that he has heard before.
[Weakness Information]
Kryptonite: When Krypton exploded, its fragments crossed through a radiation belt that irradiated them, making the rocks extremely toxic to anyone with Kryptonian physiology, but mostly harmless to anyone else. The mineral causes Superboy to lose his powers and experience extraordinary pain and eventually death. If from suffering Kryptonite poisoning, he can recover if he gets away from the Kryptonite and exposes himself to yellow sun radiation, thus fueling his healing factor. Strength Matches: On the rare occasions where he has battled other Kryptonians, or others who rival his strength, they seem more easily able to harm one another. Typically, when in a fight with someone matching his strength, he'll use every power at his disposal in order to come out victorious. Solar Flare: While the Solar Flare is the most powerful move in his arsenal, it is also his most taxing. In exchange for creating a solar flare, his cells are left completely depleted and as a result, he is rendered powerless for quite some time (10 posts). It also goes without saying that the Solar Flare cannot be used consecutively as the forced discharge of the energy powering his body always runs the risk of killing him. Magic: Superboy's biomatrix is his most powerful asset, but the strength of this field is also its greatest weakness. It's permeability to certain wavelengths makes Superboy vulnerable to certain radiations, particularly magical energies whose chaotic electromagnetic or extradimensional signatures disrupt this forcefield. Superboy's vulnerability to magic varies depending upon the special effects of the magic. No magic seems to be able to directly destroy him unless it comes from a semi-divine or divine source. He can be injured and worn down by magical entities. Magic can have powerful and unpredictable effects on Superboy and his magical enemies have often proven to be the most dangerous. Solar Energy: Superboy requires solar energy to function at peak capacity, or his powers fade to greatly reduced levels, some disappearing entirely if his solar reserves are empty. When his solar energy is depleted, his resistance to physical punishment drops to approximately one-quarter the normal amount. Withstanding large amounts of damage continuously over time will rapidly deplete his solar reserves. Similarly, fighting in complete darkness often causes him to pull from his own Solar Battery, thus speeding up the process of how quickly he depletes his energy. Electricity/Lightning: Electricity, and or Lightning, is one of the certain wavelengths that is able to pass through his biomatrix field in order to cause harm. No known lightning has been noted to destroy him, but he can be injured and severely own down by those who bend the element to their own will. Magical lightning serves as an extra punch that doubles the pain received from the attack itself. Red Sun Radiation: When exposed to the same red solar radiation as Krypton's red sun Rao, it causes Superboy to lose his powers within a large amount of exposure until the exposure to yellow sunlight will reverse this effect. A Green Lantern's ring is also a problem due to its ability to emulate radiations. Physical Exertion: For as mighty as he may be, Superboy is capable of physically overtaxing himself. Due to this, his body has little time to rest and recover and thus fails to absorb a sufficient amount of solar energy to continuously power his body. Psionics: Jayden is as vulnerable to psionic attacks as a normal human being. He is subject to mental domination attacks against him. Those whose mental powers are superior to his own will and reason have been able to render him unconscious or disrupt his natural thought processes. In the worst case, they've managed to take control of his mind.
