What are your favorite thrash metal records of 2016?
Testament's 'Brotherhood of the Snake' was pretty good, though it sounds a bit dated as usual. Slayer's new album was horrid of course, and Megadeth's 'Dystopia' was questionable for me, since Chris Adler had to change his signature sound for the studio gig.

Meshiaak's Alliance of Thieves is SO GOOD! I just heard it for the first time a couple days ago... I'm very tempted to put it as my favorite album of 2016 period.
Sodom's Decision Day and Destruction's Under Attack were both flippin' awesome! (as usual - neither band has ever disappointed me)
I loved Anthrax's For All Kings. For some time, at least until Kai Hansen's album came along, it was my favorite from the year. I quite liked Megadeth's Dystopia. Even cooler was getting a free vinyl copy when I bought it at Target. Death Angel's The Evil Divide and Testament's The Brotherhood of the Snake were both great and I even really liked Metallica's Hardwired... to Self-Destruct when I didn't think I would (they're my least favorite of the American Big 4).
And everyone keeps raving about Vektor. Maybe I'll have to listen to their new album.
