Moonlight reflected off the sparse, nearly dried puddles below the fringed green leaves above. A dark shadow moved below, dull coloring not even shining in the bright moonlight of the large snowy disk in the air, though few stars could be seen.
The shadow proved to be a wolf, with dingy, matted fur from travel and hardship, soot colored, and soot natured, seeming to turn into shadow as she moved foward at an easy pace, head held high, bright silver eyes alert for anything that moved, ears perked, and nose tip quivering. She was the perfect picture of alertness. Had it not been for the grey streak across her eye, and the pair of wings, blood red feathers in disarray, and likely useless for flying in their current state, one would have been hard pressed to believe her to be anything other than a ghost.
But she had those things, and so, it was simple to tell she was not a ghost, though one may have a few other doubts, in her aloof seeming manner, head held high, corded muscles ready to spring if needed. She however, represented no authority, with her tail hanging limply, but comfortably, behind her, swinging to and fro with her slightly lopsided gait, one side recieving more pressure when landing than the other, due to an injured foot paw. It was slightly matted in blood, but she wasn't worried, it would heal in time.
Soreth had come upon the lands.

A shadow watched the new wolf enter the area. Two gold/amber eyes watched from with in the shadow. She didn't know the wolf that was walking into the land and wanted to learn more about it before she approached it. If she was a threat to her or her family she'll remove the creature, or die trying. If the wolf was not then it would be welcome to stay.
