Wanted legacy/villain: Lincoln March
RP sample:

The plan had come together perfectly: Lincoln would set himself up for mayoral candidate of Gotham City, and at the same time firmly grip it in the talons of the Court of Owls. Everything would now run according to the Courts whims....unfortunately it was not going to go exactly as the Court had foreseen. After all, the leaders of the Court didn't expect what was going to happen to them the moment Lincoln organized a meeting after his inauguration.

Now they were all either dead or dying, slumped over on the table or on the floor, due to Lincoln poisoning their drinks. Looking out over the city, he heard one of them coughing his last breaths and turned around to approach him, pushing him onto his back and looking down at him with a smug grin on his face.

"You...betrayed us....why?" he struggled to say to him, to which Lincoln sighed and turned his back to look again towards the city. The room stayed silent for a moment before he began to speak again.

"Because, your continued existence would be a hindrance to the future I have for Gotham City. The moment I was inaugurated as Mayor, I knew that I would continue to be closely monitored in case I slip up. In case I don't do things according to the Court's grand scheme. So I had to eliminate all of you before you would do so to me." he then turned back to the slowly dying man even as several of the Court of Owls came into the room to pick up the bodies, "The Court of Owls is under my command now. Gotham City is under my rule now. It was always going to end this way, no matter what you do. No action you could of taken would of mattered, as it would of ended with me in control of both the Court and Gotham City. Take solace in that as you breath your last."

With the last of the former leaders bodies carried away, Lincoln again looked out onto Gotham with a smug smile and a chuckle. It was all too easy.

Are you a fan of the series, are you familiar with this character? I'm doing my research, but I do appreciate the Batman mythos
Do you promise to be as active as possible if we grant you this privilege? Yes, I will try my best

Biography (This Bio will detail what happened to Lincoln in both Prime Earth and Void Earth)

In a story told by Lincoln to Bruce Wayne, Lincoln's parents died in a car accident in his youth. He doesn't remember the faces of his parents - only the pin his mother was wearing the day of the accident, which killed them both. Lincoln made this pin for his mother at school in ceramics. It was a little heart - one side was bigger than the other side was. After their death, Lincoln was a hopeless child. After school, he went to college and "Gotham City saved him".

It is later revealed that Lincoln's story to Bruce was somewhat of a lie. In reality, Lincoln was a member of the Court of Owls, and former resident of Willowwood Home for Children, as he was born "hurt" due to a car accident caused by the Court of Owls, and was placed there by his parents, who he claims to be Thomas and Martha Wayne, thus making him Bruce's younger brother. He got the alias "Lincoln March" based on the street corner of Lincoln and March, where Martha Wayne was involved in a car accident while pregnant with him.

The Court of Owls

Lincoln March, Gotham's young Mayoral candidate was introduced to Bruce Wayne at an event Bruce was holding in order to gain support for his Gotham revitalization project. Sometime later, he'd set up a meeting with Bruce at Old Wayne Tower to discuss his support. He tells Bruce that they are very much alike, speaking about the night his parents died, remembering a heart shaped pin his mother used to wear. Later, he continues and speaks about the threats recently made on Bruce's life, supposedly placed by the Court of Owls, a society of urban legend within Gotham. Before Lincoln can say too much, the two are attacked by the Talon, who wounded March, putting him in the hospital.

Lincoln would spend the next few weeks in the hospital, recovering from his wounds, but it wouldn't be the last he saw of the Court. When the Court launched a full attack on Gotham City, known as The Night of the Owls, Lincoln's name was on the hit list, and was killed by Alton Carver, one of the Court's many Talons. Before he dies, he manages to give Batman a list of Court member names, intended for Bruce.

When Batman looks into the names of those on Lincoln's list, he finds the Court's secret base, but finds many of the members dead, having been poisoned prior to Batman's arrival. The next morning, unable to let it go, Bruce feels as if something isn't adding up with the Court. Looking at a portrait of his parents, Bruce notices something, that tips him off as to who is behind it. He travels to the morgue to inspect Lincoln's body, but finds nothing but a note, asking him to follow deeper into the "rabbit hole."

Using clues left behind, Bruce tracks Lincoln down to the Willowwod Home for Children, positioned on Gotham's only sink hole. Inside, he finds Lincoln waiting for him. Revealing that he was a member of the Court all along, and having ingested the serum that brought the Talons back from the dead, Lincoln continuously asks Bruce who he is, and why the Court accepted him into their ranks. Bruce refuses to directly answer the question, claiming Lincoln to just be a pawn the Court could easily manipulate, something that angers Lincoln immensely, as he demands to know what tipped Bruce off to him. Bruce remains silent, until Lincoln screams "Say it!" as Bruce finally reveals that it was the heart shaped pin in Lincoln's story, the very same pin he saw on his mother, Martha's portrait. Lincoln then asks Bruce again, "Who am I?" With Bruce still reluctant to answer/accept the possible truth, Lincoln reveals that he is Thomas Wayne Jr., Bruce's younger brother. Bruce refuses to accept Lincoln's claims, but Lincoln tells him that he knows it to be true, he knows that back when he was three, he was supposed to have a brother, but then there was an accident, and he was born with a condition that forced the Waynes to leave him at Willowwood, to be forgotten after their deaths. Lincoln reveals the truths Bruce was looking for, the Court of Owls didn't kill their parents, that was all Bruce's fault, and it is something Lincoln intends to take revenge on.

Return to Gotham

March was present in the shadows when Cluemaster had a meeting with several other low-ranking Batman villains, namely Signalman, Lock-Up, and Firefly, but was forced to knock Arthur's daughter, Stephanie, unconscious when she found out about the Cluemaster's plot.

With Arthur willing to kill Batman himself with the city on fire and in chaos, Lincoln made his way through Gotham and up Beacon Tower, using gas canisters to knock the villains guarding the entrance unconscious before ascending to the top and, with Arthur holding an unmasked Bruce Wayne at gunpoint and about to pull the trigger, slit his throat with one of Lincoln's four knives, killing him before telling Bruce that it was time that the two brothers finished this.

Lincoln admitted that he was disappointed that Arthur, who had always been a nobody as a costumed villain and had success in his plan exactly because of that, ever assumed he would ascend to the ranks of the highest and most dangerous, missing his own point. He tackled Bruce over the edge of the Beacon Tower roof with his jet thrusters, and rather than go on another air tour of Gotham with Lincoln March, Bruce pried one of the long shards of glass from his body and thrust it into the jet mechanism, removing March's ability to control it. Soon, they both collided with the screen from which the Riddler used to broadcast his nightly challenge during the Zero Year. Lincoln noted the irony of the fact that Bruce would die in the same place that he first revealed himself to the citizens of Gotham. And, with all the pandemonium that had befallen Gotham, all that would remain to explain it would be the Batman. Arthur Brown and his cronies were long gone, but when the people of Gotham found out that a penniless Bruce Wayne was the Batman, both men would be forgotten. The Batman's legacy would be over forever. As if in answer, Jim Gordon's plan rolled out, and the Bat symbol had been painted or projected onto the side of nearly every skyscraper in the city. In the meantime, Bruce tied the remains of his cowl around his head as a makeshift one, having found it, in order to protect his identity from anyone else who would see the fight.

Despite Gotham's rallying, Lincoln March was still intent on killing Batman, but was surprised by a punch to the face from the Spoiler, who declared herself "Batman". When he recovered, he saw that all of Batman's allies had surrounded him. Desperately, he tossed a smoke grenade and escaped into the tunnels beneath the city. Bruce attempts to go after him, but Jim Gordon stopped him, drawing his attention to the Bat-Symbols all over the city, and reminding that Batman has things under control.

Beneath the city, the Court of Owls captured Lincoln, and with little sympathy for him after what he did to their leaders, they locked him away in stasis, saying perhaps they would release him in a decade, once he learned his lesson, likely to act as their Talon due to his use of their electrum formula himself.

Void Earth

In Void Earth, Lincoln never had the issues his Prime Earth counterpart did. With no Batman around, the original plan to elect him as Mayor of Gotham and put the city under the Talons control went off without a hitch. But unlike his counterpart, instead of being betrayed by the Court, Lincoln subverted the loyalty of the Court of Owls and brings all of them under his control. Then once he was inaugurated as Mayor, he calls for a meeting of the Leaders of the Court of Owls and poisons them all, just as his Prime Earth counterpart did.

With both the Court and Gotham under his rule, he is now set to either peacefully rule Gotham, continuing the Court of Owls ways of killing those who speak of them (and sometimes if they dare speak his name without some kind of respect), or spread their wings beyond the City.

[Other item information]

Talon Suit: Lincoln March wears the outfit of what was to be the 21st century Talon, equipped similarly to the Batsuit. It also has a grappling cable, jetpack, and life support systems, along with a facemask similar to that of the members of the Court of Owls. Unlike his Prime Earth counterpart, this Lincoln decided to trade the collapsible, but fragile facemask for an armored mask. The suit also has seemingly energy-based cannons on the arms. The suit also has a mechanism of some sort that allows the suit to move an explosive to the user's hand without needing to move it, in the very least including one with highly localized damage to the ground (and can actually level a tower), and a very high quantity of smoke for use in escapes. It also includes clawed gauntlets, retractable blades, and other hidden blades, a large supply of throwing knives, grappling hooks and other bladed weaponry.

With the Suit on, Lincoln has the following abilities:

Superhuman Strength: The Talon Suit boosts his strength, able to match the likes of Bane, who can lift around 3 to 4 tons when he takes Venom.

Superhuman Durability: The Talon Suit is also very durable, able to take a lot of abuse (except for the mask, which this version replaces with an actual armored one). In the Prime universe, this suit is able to take crashing into a building from the air and a scuffle with Batman with minimal damage, save for that mask.

Energy Projection The cannons on the arms can fire strong energy beams. Though the exact output is unknown, it is likely that the beams can punch holes through thick walls, blow up cars, and kill a normal human in a single shot.

Flight The jet backpack allows Lincoln to fly at high speeds, although it is likely not even close to the speed of sound, it can allow Lincoln to take a tour of Gotham in short time.

[Ability information]

Enhanced Strength: Due to the Talon Serum, which this Lincoln ingested in the event that he dies earlier than he expects, it has improved his strength beyond that of a regular human. Outside of his suit, he has more strength than a man in peak physical condition, like Batman and could probably match Bane without Venom (who can lift around 1500 pounds)

Enhanced Speed: The Talon Serum has improved his speed and reflexes beyond that of even a man in peak physical condition.

Enhanced Stamina: The Talon Serum also improves his physical stamina, meaning he doesn't tire as quickly and can maintain peak physical exertion for longer than even the most well trained athletes.

Advanced Healing: Lincoln due to ingesting the Talon Serum is effectively immortal, able to heal injuries at an accelerated rate and in the event of his "death", he is actually able to come to life.

Political Science: Lincoln is very savvy in Politics, both his Prime Earth and Void Earth counterparts have ran for Mayor of Gotham, although the Void Earth version is the only one to actually succeed.

Deception: Lincoln March is very good at manipulating people to serve his ends. This version has been able to lead the leaders of the Court of Owls to believe he will be loyal to them, only to backstab them after he became Mayor and subverted control of the Court for himself.

Hand to Hand: Advanced Although his Prime Earth counterpart has floored or been floored by Batman, this version is without a doubt able to match the Caped Crusader blow for blow. Whether it's due to the suit or his own training is unknown, but it has been confirmed that out of all the Talons to fight Batman, both Lincoln and William Cobb were able to put up a fight, so it is likely he has very advanced training.

[Weakness information]

Ego: Lincoln is a narcissist, and thoroughly believes he is smarter and better than everyone else. Some of it is true, and he is extremely dangerous, but this ego can be used against him.

Cold Temperatures: It is likely that cold temperatures can actually slow down the healing factor the Talon Serum gave him, thus he can be killed permanently.
