Biography
Liand'r was a Tameranean noble who was a distant relative to Tameranean royal family. He was born with a rare defect among Tamaraneans, the inability to fly. Due to his defect he was considered inferior to other Tameraneans, but constantly remained optimistic that he could prove himself. Throughout childhood he was continually overlooked because of his disability and constantly had to push himself harder than others to be noticed in training and school. He trained under their fighters to become a bodyguard, being something he knew he could do with or without flight. In spite of his disability, he became a more than competent guard and was trusted by his fellow soldiers and the royal family. In the fall out of the royal family being sold out to the Psions, he attempted to aid them only to be captured as well.
While under Psion captivity, his natural ability to absorb energy was amplified and made to be channeled into different ways, such as through powerful blasts, called Starbolts, or through his body into super strength and durability. While he was constantly bombarded with solar energy, to the point of overload, he was intended to be used less as a ballistic bomb and more as a tactical strike. Because of his intended use, the Psions adapted his body to be able to take in energy from a multitude of star types, though his natural limitations could not be overcome and certain star types are more difficult to metabolize. He remained under experimentation on the Psion ship for years undergoing solar energy experiments and mental rehabilitation. Constantly being prodded to break, but frustratingly retaining his optimism.
After 3 years of experimentation by the Psions, the group conducting the experiments came across a Reach research vessel. He was traded between Psions and The Reach between that time to further enhance his abilities. With their weapon ready for testing after roughly six years total of experimentation Liand'r was fitted with an implant device in his neck created by The Reach. Sold as a weapon of war, he was used to raze cities and end wars with massive displays of power. The device was developed to maintain his emotional state, putting him in insane fits of rage when needed and decreasing his emotional state to being more docile when he was put back. Seeing nothing more they could do without putting him in critical condition or killing him, The Reach research team decided it was time to test the effectiveness of their combined project.
For over a year, Liand'r was used as a weapon, loaned out by The Reach research team to potential buyers in order to see the effects of their experiments on both his physiology and the implant devices' effectiveness. Despite not being in control of his own actions during this time, Liand'r still retained all of the memory of the atrocities he committed while under the devices control. His own personal anger grew at being used in such a despicable way and his already harbored hatred towards his captors only grew more intense. Unfortunately for the hopeful Tameranean that only served the ends of the experimenters as the angrier he became the more powerful he grew, but the implant device and mental conditioning only allowed him to express it on those who he was directed to attack. An endless cycle, his rage grew only to serve the ends of his captors.
While on transport to the next buyer, the research vessel was attacked by a group of refugees turned pirates who were victims of previous Reach activity. In the ensuing scuffle, Liand'r's restraints became weakened. Seeing his opportunity, Liand'r managed to break free from the restraints and tore out the regulator in his escape, earning himself a nasty scar on the back of his neck. During his attempted escape, Liand'r was found by the pirates, who captured him believing him to be on the side of the Reach initially. Once on the ship, they noticed his injuries and came to the conclusion that he was another victim. Deciding to take him in, the pirates helped to acclimate Liand'r to life outside of captivity, the credit for all he knows about the outside world being credited to them. With the crew he gained his love of leisurely activities such as movies, comics, games and the like. It was also during this time where he learned better how to control his powers.
It was here that despite the events of his past he regained his cheerful attitude, but also began to realize that he couldn't fully control his emotions in spite of his efforts. The crew offered to help, teaching him methods to try and, not overcome anger, but not become angry at all. One of the crew members who had become a close friend of Liand'r gifted him with one of her rings. Noticing that his lack of life experience had made him easily manipulated, she told him that the ring was special and would help him calm down if he focused on it. For a while it seemed to work, but over time he began to realize it worked less and less. The results were overall a failure and so the crew opted to simply remove him from situations which would cause him to become angry if they saw the situation deteriorating.
During an event in which the pirate ship was attacked by a rival group, an actual band of space pirates instead of refugees. During the encounter Liand'r began to lose control while trying to defend his new friends. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to prevent himself from becoming angry, Liand'r opted instead to protect his friends over endangering both parties. Fighting his way through the pirate invaders, he made it to the opposing ship and managed destroyed it's controls, barely surviving as the ship was shifted off course. With no crew left to correct it, the veering ship headed towards and crashed on Earth.

[Weapon information]
○ Weapon name: Starbolts; Blasts of concussive energy from his hands, eyes, or feet. He can shape them at will t perform certain tasks, but they are always the same in type of damage, concussive. Starbolts do generate heat, but only on the far extreme of his output. Considerable effort would be needed for them to melt metal or vaporize water due to heat.
[Other item information]
○ Item name: Any item that is neither a cherished item nor a weapon would go here. For example armour, med kits etc. Please include an explanation for each item.
[Ability information]
○ Rage and Aggression Enhancement: Liand'r was experimented on by separate alien forces, beginning with the Psions, who aimed to turn him into a living weapon by modifying his natural ability to absorb and metabolize solar energy. In an attempt to create the ultimate weapon, they boosted and modified his solar absorption, coupled with the Tameranean emotional connection to their natural abilities. The experiments drastically reduced Liand'r's ability to control his emotions, particularly when it come to his anger. As his anger increases, so does his physical strength and the amount of energy he expends in his Starbolts. If his anger goes completely unchecked, he becomes a machine of aggression. At a certain point, his mind becomes directed on a single objective, such as defeating a certain enemy or destroying a certain object. When in this state, while targeting a specific entity, he will remove anything that stands in his way of achieving that goal.
○ Super Human Strength: Due to experimentation, Liand'r has gained enhanced physical strength. His physical strength was enhanced beyond that of a normal Tameranean. His physical output is tied directly to his anger, and as such increases the angrier he becomes. At base level his strength is in the 90 tons range, above that of a normal Tameranean. When sufficiently enraged his strength increases to the 130 ton range.
○ Superhuman Endurance and Stamina: He is capable of withstanding the same amount of power he can put out. He possesses superhuman stamina, able to maintain his peak performance for prolonged periods of time.
○ Starbolts: He can fire beams of focused energy from his hands feet and eyes or in a spherical outward blast from his body due to experimentation. The solar absorption experiments performed on him by the alien Psions granted him the power and ability to channel and project that same energy into destructive blasts called "starbolts". Starbolts are highly concentrated solar energy that possess incredible power.
○ Starfield Generation: The Starfield is a passive force field around his body that is generated by the same energy as his Starbolts. Another ability he gained due to increased experimentation, the field increases his durability, making his skin resistant to puncturing and more resilient against blunt force and concussive damage. The power of the field fluctuates, though it consistently remains at a level where his skin is bullet proof and capable of withstanding considerable impact above what an average Tameranean could without it. It also extends to objects or people to protect them from the external forces exerted by gravity and physics and what not.
○ Sunlight Absorption: He passively absorbs and metabolizes sunlight radiation to fuel his powers, but he can also use this actively to increase the amount of energy. When absorbing ambient energy this looks little more than a haze around him as he pulls in light from the area around him. However he can also channel this ability and take solar energy from other beings that feed on solar energy such as plants or even other alien life like Kryptonians or other Tameraneans. The ability to do this requires active, sustained contact and is not instant, requiring time to draw out larger amounts of energy depending on resistance.
[Weakness information]
○ Emotional Control: He has very little control over his emotions, as previously stated. As his powers are directly tied to his emotions, this could mean that, if saddened or distracted, his power would drastically decrease. Also, while in the preliminary stages of his anger, he is wild and nearly uncontrolled, attacking with reckless abandon. His emotions can change quickly and drastically, which causes his power to fluctuate drastically depending on the situation.
○ Metallic Chromium: Many Tamaraneans are allergic to Metallic Chromium. When Liand'r is near Metallic Chromium he becomes devastatingly ill and his power is drastically reduced, regardless of his state of anger.
○ Susceptibility to Mind Control or manipulation: Because of the lingering effects of the device, Liand'r has weakened mental defenses, making him more easily influenced by those with mental powers. Not only that, but he spent a large part of his life cut off from actual sapient interaction outside of experimentation, so he has little to no knowledge on many typical things. As such he is very gullible and can be taken advantage of by people who are convincing enough. Mostly if they make him believe he's helping.
