A.N.: Just as a heads up, this is just a intro of sorts so that when the actual story begins to take shape next month in the Holiday Section, you can all get an idea of what is going to be happening throughout. This one will be somewhat more dark than the unfinished story from last year, although it will also have some entertainment I hope for everyone involved in the story.
So without further ado, let us now begin with the preamble to our Holiday Story.
Lycanthropos was sitting behind his desk scratching his head. He couldn't understand why Pink Fregia, Queentintin, Christmas Spirit Fairy, and faelove64 had all elected to challenge angelic snow angel for the position of being Guild Owner. It wasn't as if the position held major quirks over regular staff members. Well, I suppose it does in some admin respects, but that was besides the point with regards to the apparent mutiny which Lycanthropos was seeing between some of his friends. As much as it pained him to do it, he was going to have to get serious with everyone and get them to understand that everyone is truly equal overall in the eyes of the guild, and that this was doing nothing but making angelic snow angel sad and disheartened about the future of this wondrous and amazing guild.
"Why are you doing this" he asked Pink Fregia. "It's not like you, or any of the other staff members to wish to overthrow angelic snow angel like this. What happened to cause this mess?"
"If you must know, we're all just sick and tired of the guild not reaching its full potential. After all, we need to attract some new members and liven this place up a bit" Pink replied, glancing over at Starshinebelle in the process, as if curious to see if she agreed with Pink's observation.
Starshinebelle however just broke eye contact with Pink, as if to say that she had enough on her mind right now without worrying about this mutiny issue. "Don't bring me into this" she retorted in a somewhat frustrated voice.
"So then, why not settle this the old fashioned way" animeangel_99 responded softly. "After all, it's not like we haven't had the Olympics this past summer remind us of what sports can do. So I propose a race. Say, the 100 meter dash, however... Lycanthropos can represent angelic snow angel who is currently in no fit shape to run given her skiing accident two weeks ago. At the same time, whilst Lycanthropos will be running the full 100 meters, the four of you will each do 25 meter sprints in the neighboring lane in a relay fashion. If the four of you win, angelic snow angel will be deposed as the leader of this guild, and you can then decide amongst yourselves as to not only who takes over her role, but you can ensure that a suitable Punishment Game is assigned for Lycanthropos to partake in as per the guild bylaws." animeangel_99 paused for a moment. "However, keep in mind that should Lycanthropos win the race fair and square as adjudicated, then the four of you will be the ones to partake in whatever Punishment Game which the guild comes up with. So, are all of you in agreement to these terms?"
Everyone in Council for the guild looked at the five of them, to see whether they all would be in agreement with animeangel_99's offer for resolving this conflict. After a brief pause, Lycanthropos nodded his head. "I'm in" he replied, before turning his attention back towards the other four.
As the other four agreed to the terms, Daffodil the Destroyer and Hazumu-san both made a note on their laptops before turning their attention to angelic snow angel.
"Your excellence" Daffodil spoke softly. "All parties have agreed to the challenge terms, and thus we will go ahead and prepare a suitable track for the race to be held upon, as well as determining a suitable punishment game accordingly depending upon the outcome."
"Understood" angelic snow angel replied, before turning her attention to the four would-be traitors in her mind. "I'm sorry that it has come to this, but I wish you all strength as you will need it." She then turned to Lycanthropos before adding with a gentle smile "Make me proud, my dear friend."

Two weeks later, the preparations had been completed, and everyone had gathered at a nearby High School field track in order to watch the race to decide the future of the guild. The five runners were all in their respective track suits warming up, and Tatlof was inspecting the starter's gun which she'd be using shortly, to make sure that it would work properly when fired.
As each of the relay team members took they respective positions on the track at 25 meter intervals, Queentintin was handed the baton by Shadowfire2011.
"Don't lose it. You'll need to pass it along successfully between each of the runners in your lane" Shadowfire2011 reminded her.
"Thanks" Queentintin replied, before finishing her stretching exercises.
One member of the Guild who was surprisingly absent from the race, was Waffle King Richard. When asked if he would be able to attend by angelic snow angel, he politely declined, explaining that he had other matters to attend to at that time, but that he was wishing everyone the very best in spirit, and hoped that everything would turn out alright and for the best in the end.
Finally however, the moment of truth was at hand. As Tatlof cleared her throat, she proceed to announce "On Your Mark", to which Queentintin and Lycanthropos both took their positions and prepared to launch themselves in a run towards their goal.
"Ready..." Tatlof then raised the starter's gun above her head and watched as both Queentintin and Lycanthropos both seemed anxious to et the race started. Silence fell upon the grandstand as well, as everyone in attendance waited in trepidation for the loud bang which would signify the start of the race to determine the fate of the guild. Indeed, the tension in the morning air was so thick, that one could easily cut it with a dull butter knife.
With that, the race began, and both Queentintin and Lycanthropos were able to get off to a good start. As Lycanthropos continued to charge at the 25 meter mark, Queentintin proceeded to hand the baton over to Pink Fregia, who managed to keep pace with Lycanthropos as they both continued their respective charge towards the 50 meter mark, where faelove64 was waiting in the number 2 lane for Pink to arrive and hand the baton over to her in order to continue the race and hopefully beat Lycanthropos in the process.
The crowd in the grandstand was cheering everyone on, unsure of how the race would end, whilst Lycanthropos continued to successfully hold his ground up to the 50 meter mark given that each of his opponents was only running 25 meters instead of the full 100 meters which he himself was running alone. As faelove64 began to run, she stumbled a little, allowing Lycanthropos to gain some ground ahead of her and take the lead for the time being.
As faelove64 reached the 75 meter mark where Christmas Spirit Fairy stood waiting, the whole relay appeared to fall apart, and with it the hopes of those four ladies to successfully remove angelic snow angel from her position as guild leader. The baton hand-off from faelove64 to Christmas Spirit Fairy had been fumbled, and as such, it gave Lycanthropos a 10 meter advantage by the time Christmas Spirit Fairy could even start to run again with the baton in hand. Though sadly, try as she might, Lycanthropos simply had too much of an advantage going into the last 15 meters that as he crossed the finish line and collapsed in both exhaustion and jubilation at knowing that he had done angelic snow angel proud with his winning accomplishment that morning.
The four ladies all sighed in disappointment in knowing that they would know have to face a Punishment Game as determined by both Daffodil the Destroyer and Hazumu-san. Indeed, they had long come up with a suitable game for those four to face, and had made all of the necessary arrangements.
As Lycanthropos got back up with messages of congratulations from several guild members, he made his way calmly over to the four ladies he had just been racing against and whilst still trying to catch his breath, offered them his regards for a great and fair race, before adding that it was now time for the four of them to prepare themselves for the upcoming Punishment Game which they would have to endure, even though he himself was still not sure himself as to what had been arranged for the four ladies.
"Well, I hope that the four of you are ready to prepare for your Punishment Game" Daffodil explained. "I'm sure that you all must be curious as to just what exactly your game will entail. So I'm going to explain it to each of you right now. You four will spend 24 hours locked inside of a gymnasium, playing 24 Hour Tag with various Taggers coming to give chase to you at random times throughout that 24 hour period. Should you personally be caught by a tagger, you will be punished accordingly. If you manage to avoid the tagger for a full minute, you will be spared. And I should remind you that you will need to look out for your own selves during the game, as helping each other out won't work against the taggers we will have assigned to you."
Hazumu-san then continued from where Daffodil the Destroyer had left off. "Survive the full 24 hour game, and all will be forgiven. The game begins on Thursday morning at 8 am. However we will require you to arrive at 7 am so that we can get you suited up. And don't worry, you will be fed and given time to sleep, so it won't be a complete disadvantage. The taxis will deliver you to the assigned gym, so don't keep them waiting. But for now, all members are dismissed until Thursday morning."
