What is a "mini-guild"?
A mini-guild is a "guild-like" sub-forum that is moderated by the owner, just like a true guild.
What is a mini-guild all about?
Within this guild, the Blue Banshees, there is a list of sub-forums of different topics. Some of these sub-forums may have "Mini-Guild:" in front of the title; this is a mini-guild.
Basically, what a mini-guild is is a sub-forum ran by the "owner". They work basically like a real guild, but exist in that sub-forum. They are run and moderated by the person who created the sub-forum.
Why would I want a mini-guild?
The reason is up to you. Lets say you would like to start a guild but don't have the 20k gold to spend to start one. Or maybe you want to create a guild that focuses on a topic that isn't very popular. Or maybe even you're afraid your guild wont have many members and it would be a waste of gold. But you really wanted to start a guild nevertheless.
Well, that's where a "mini-guild" comes in. Either donate 3,000 gold to the guild or send me 3,000 via a trade, and I shall create a sub-forum housing your mini-guild. I will then put you on the crew for the Blue Banshees guild.
Within that mini-guild, you have say. You will be able to modify posts, delete posts, sticky threads, and simply overall moderate as you would in a real guild. Of course, you will be expected to follow all the rules of Gaia and of the Blue Banshees guild.
Can I create any kind of mini-guild I want?
I'm afraid not. There are some types of mini-guilds I will not allow. These are any guilds that break the rules of Gaia (sex guilds, hate guilds, racist guilds, ect.). I will not allow "destroy-the-world" guilds, drug guilds, rap guilds, "l33t" speak guilds or religious guilds. Sorry.
If someone has a type of mini-guild I want, can I create one focusing on the same topic?
No, sorry. If there's a mini-guild focusing on a certain topic (say, anime in general, Kaleido Star, Star Wars, video games in general, ect.), you will not be able to create another mini-guild focusing on the same topic. You will have to pick something else. I don't want a bunch of Ghost in the Shell mini-guilds or a bunch of The Sims 2 mini-guilds. Know what I mean?
You may, though, create a mini-guild that's in the same "class" (for lack of a better word) as another. For example, if there's a video game mini-guild that focuses on Star Wars Galaxies, you may create a video game mini-guild that focuses on another game. Or if there's an anime mini-guild that focuses on Mobile Suit Gundam, you may create an anime mini-guild that focuses on the Galaxy Railways.
If there's a general "anime" guild, you may create a guild that focuses on a certain anime series, but you cannot create another genreal anime guild.
Can I have my own set of rules in my mini-guild?
Sort of. You will be expected to follow all of the rules of Gaia and of the Blue Banshees guild, even in your mini-guild. But you may add your own rules to the list.
Do I have say over what goes on in my mini-guild?
Yes, to a point. You will moderate it, you will sticky threads, you will make announcements, and the like. But, as I said before, you must follow all the rules of Gaia and of the Blue Banshees guild.
I will moderate all mini-guilds as well to make sure it is indeed following the rules. Also, any Blue Banshees crew members may delete posts in your mini-guild that are breaking the rules without consulting you first.
How much do mini-guilds cost?
For each mini-guild, I am requiring 3,000 gold. You may donate this 3k gold to the guild or send it to me via a trade (labeled "mini-guild" and the name of your mini-guild).
Can I create a mini-guild and leave it alone? To "grow on its own".
Erm... no, I'm afraid not. You will have to be active in your mini-guild. If you are not active, your mini-guild will be removed or given to another Blue Banshees guild member.
I don't want to run a mini-guild anymore. Can I give it to a friend?
Yes, you may give ownership of the mini-guild to your friend, but let me know of course. Your friend will have to prove themself responsible, though (see next question).
You may be removed from the crew list.
Do I have to meet any requirements before I can start a mini-guild?
Before I allow you to create a mini-guild, you will have to prove that you are A) active and B) responsible. You will have to be a member of the Blue Banshees guild for atleast two weeks, and be active throughout those two weeks (and continue to be active even after those two weeks are up).
How active do I have to be?
Post a few times a week atleast. Posting once a week wont cut it, I'm afraid.
I don't want to run a mini-guild anymore. Can I get my gold back?
No, sorry. Just like if you purchase a real guild, that gold is gone once you purchase the a mini-guild. You will not be refunded the gold. Sub-forums cost gold to create, and even if that sub-forum is removed, I wont be getting that gold back.
Will you ever give away free mini-guilds?
Yes! Every once in awhile I'll hold a contest within the Blue Banshees guild. The winner will "recieve" a free mini-guild. Of course, they will still have to meet the requirements, and they will still have to follow all the mini-guild creation rules.
Okay, I want to create a mini-guild! How do I go about doing it?
First of all, we'll need to talk about the mini-guild you wish to create. Send me a personal message and tell me what kind of mini-guild you want to create, what your mini-guild will be about, and any other information you'd like to include. Also, answer these questions: Will you be active? Will you be responsible? Will you follow the rules?
After I "okay" your mini-guild, either donate 3,000 gold to the guild or send it to me via trade; and I will then create the sub-forum housing your mini-guild.
