⌘Life Story: I had a very good upbringing. My parents worked in the wood cutting industry around Fortree City. My father worked field work and my mother was part of the conservatory planning team. Together they took care of myself and my older brother Axel. He was much, much older than I, 10 year difference to be exact. When our parents were gone to work Axel would keep me company. He'd play games with me. Even before I was old enough to start walking he had me in his arms and would take me on adventures. Usually we would just go through the city and play with the local keckleons, but they were breathtaking. At home he was the best too. He was, to me, the worlds greatest at hosting tea parties because he'd bring so many pokemon to join us. They even came in dresses.
As I got older our parents let us leave beyond the forested areas. After a year of battling the gyms in the region Axel proved to our parents that he'd be strong enough to take care of me. So for a few years we traveled together. I still wasn't old enough to battle but I was allowed to pick out my very own pokemon. I chose, and caught, my very own wurmple at the age of 6. Axel had his team of champions and we would visit every city in the region. Then one day we had a pair of tickets to leave Hoenn. I'm still not sure how Axel got ahold of such expensive tickets but we had them, in our dusty little hands.
At the age of 7 I left Hoenn for the first time. Axel wanted to go as far away as possible so we set sail to the Kalos region. It took a few weeks to get there. We met a lot of kind people, the kind of people who paid for our meals because we had nothing to eat or who let us use their cabins for hide and seek. But we also met a few not so kind people. The ones with that ugly look on their face whenever they saw us or who called us thieves. I didn't know why they didn't like us. One adult was very mean to us. He screamed at my brother and they almost got into a fight. He had a not so nice Mightyena who tried to bite my brother. I only remember crying and seeing my precious wurmple try to protect me when the Mightyena was sent to attack me. I lost my wurmple on that trip.
Kalos was beautiful. I vowed this would be my new home and Axel agreed with me for the first couple of years we stayed there. We did a lot of training together. Axel vowed to get as strong as he could so he could afford to take care of the both of us. We'd go from town to town, battling anyone we could find and collecting prize money after prize money. I met a Scatterbug who I vowed would never have to fight for me. He was small, startled easily, and he was my best friend. He goes by Subtle, because he's anything but. Along with him, I had a Talonflame(Connor), Gogoat(Marian) and a Sliggoo(Tori). I still wasn't old enough to participate in pokemon battles, but there were underground battles I snuck into to make money as well. Axel didn't know about those for a long while. By age 9, I had escaped all 4 major newsworthy police raids of our underground battles in Lumiose City and gone through more fake IDs than I could keep count. Not sure how Axel wasn't aware but I feel like he was busy in his own underground rings to notice. I never saw his name appear on the local Gyms lists of accomplished trainers, so he had to be getting money from some place.
On my 10th birthday I got my first legal ID and we set off to battle in Unova together. Those were, without a doubt, the best years of my life. For six years we lived in Castellia City and lived like kings. During those first few months Axel tried to teach me the right way and took me to gyms and we participated in legal battles. But then one night we got to battle each other in one of the back alley rings. He won, but he did teach me everything I know so what else would you expect. After that we became an unbeatable team. We had money just pouring in and we were able to send our parents out on vacations and paid to have them visit us in Unova. Everything was perfect. By the time I was 13 I had my perfect 6 team established. At the front was Subtle, my fully evolved, High Plains patterned, Vivillon. As his partner in crime was Connor, then Tori, Marian, Winston(a Jellicent I won whom I named after a boy I knew back in Hoenn), and Nino(mawile).
When I reached 16, Axel had told me he was going to depart from Unova soon. I had the option to either join him or go my own way. He took off to visit Kanto, and I went back home to Hoenn. And so just like that we left our kingdom. I stayed with my parents for a year. I helped them with money and studied at the near by weather station when I wanted to hide low from the police. I wasn't running the rings anymore but illegal pokemon battles were still that. People and mon died in these rings. Battles would erupt into gang fights, and humans obviously have weapons other than pokemon. The waged money was unmonitored gambling, and most of the regions have seemed to even outlaw casinos in general. On top of that, money wasn't the only thing waged. Pokemon, women, power, those were all up for grabs there. Anyone could battle and no one cared if you were a child or elderly woman, a fight is a fight. I've battled school children until their pokemon was barely hanging on to life. I've hit men and women with pokemon attacks because they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and then I continued to hit them until they tapped out. I've won women for my brother, and even drugs to use as high leverage against some of the ring leaders to sway the battles my way. It was a high stakes life style and I thrived off of it. I mostly used my money to support the pokemon centers in the area, and to help some local charities with their scientific advances. But after doing that for almost 10 years, I didn't mind taking off my crown and just doing something else with my life. It wasn't the upbringing I had in mind but I loved it. I loved my brother and would do anything to make him happy.
At 17 I met some scientists who came to visit the weather station. They were looking for volunteers to join their charity. I remembered them, I had given them money many times before, so I left with them and moved back to Kalos as one of their new aids. They told much about their vision of a new world. A world created by Void. They had put myself and my team through trial after trial to test how strong we were, how close of a bond we had and promised to make us stronger and closer. And I wanted that, not for battles but for themselves. I wanted them to be able to be able to protect themselves against anything. So for a year I studied under one of the lead scientists and we studied pokemon genetics and the key element to what makes pokemon strong. Why pokemon with trainers were stronger than those found in the wild and how this bond directly corresponds with their power levels.
Then one day I got to help with an experiment. We were going to try something they called "Fusion". They wanted to test it with my team but I was told they were only going to get a scan for their specific genes. Winston and Connor went in these organic looking orbs. My boys. Their eyes watched me as I stood to the side ready to take down their notes. I watched them with so much excitement in my eyes, I was going to get to learn about my boys in a way I've never been able to before, and they watched me with so much trust and love. And then they were screaming.
Pokemon can bleed. No one talks about it but they're real animals with real organs and real pain. In televised pokemon battles they instruct trainers to only attack to bruise and knock down. A battle of stamina or to get that first hit in to knock the opponent out, but not to maim. Everyone likes a good punch out but no one wants to be reminded that pokemon get hurt and seeing them bleed is too triggering of a reminder. One may forget this but living beings bleed, and they especially do so when you rip their bodies apart on a cellular scale.
I promptly released my other pokemon. I sent them off to find Axel and to stay with him. They were no longer safe with me and so they all left to find my brother. I was punished for that. It was seen as tampering with their studies and that was a hindrance to our progression. I was forced to do grunt duty out in the field. Forced to catch new pokemon to train and then bring back for further studies. I was to recruit new trainers to join us but no one knew what was going on. As time went on I learned many of the faces of our team. Many of them were big names, people who could pull strings to keep us hidden and keep our funding. Every now and then there would be uprisings and I would often be sent on those silencing teams. I had no issue with their style of battles, it was my history after all. Its the reason they found me. They'd been watching me for years and wanted me and my brother to be part of their lead members. But when we left Unova they lost track of us and just happened to luck out that I volunteered back at the weather station.
As I reached 19 I was brought back into the lab and was to be one of the lead scientists. The one I was training under became my partner in more ways than in the work place and I had become royalty in a new lair. We led every test together and had total control over everyone in the lab. That is, until the incident. I wouldn't say I did it but the only certain thing is my partner soon became no more. He had found himself in one of the fusion chambers. Surveillance cameras were down at the time he had gotten into them. But they were turned back on there was just to see him trying to escape and then watched him fuse with a mere wurmple. The outcome creature didn't survive, but all the data was automatically electronically stored. "Conclusion: Humans can not be fused with Pokemon with a bond of 0%. No information to support if a bond would make a difference at this point." He had a lot of enemies so it could have been anyone to have put him in that chamber. Rumors had it that the souls of the pokemon he tested on put him there. Other rumors said he was abusive to me and that one day I snapped. Others say he was simply a sick psychopath who put himself in there and set the computers to automatic. There's always some truth in stories like those.
Now, I'm just a standard scientist. I don't lead any teams or guide any tests. I study the research and avoid the chambers at all cost. When we run out of scientists (they seem to end up in chambers a lot), I get to recruit more. But for the most part I stay in the lab and do my business. I get paid money which I send home to my parents. Sometimes I get to visit them and they keep me updated on my brother. Subtle lives with my parents and I was able to get him and my family amnesty for as long as I work for Team Void. Which according to some rumors I've heard, he's the head of an uprising against Void somewhere in the region.

⌘Hopes and Dreams: I would be silly to have any hopes and dreams at this point. But if I could find a Jirachi, and just make one wish, I'd wish I could go back to the day I departed Unova and stayed with my brother. Because anything after this point would be just me wishing for the sweet embrace of death.
⌘Worst Nightmare: Living out the rest of my life in this lab.
⌘Likes: The color blue. Blues music. Being allowed to leave the lab to go on recruiting missions.
⌘Dislikes: The color red. The sounds of the fusion chambers. Staying inside.
