⌘Usual Wear: Ringo takes a preference to darker clothing. He does not share a particular interest for anything in his closet at all, save for his coat.
He is most often seen wearing a black shirt and a simple pair of white pants, which he'll change every now and then depending on his preference for the day. These underclothes are rather plain, not captivating to the eye, and offer little compliment to the rest of his outfit. He wears thick buckled leather boots, meant entirely for ensuring that he can access multiple terrains without fear of falling.
Ringo's jacket is the centerpiece to his outfit, one of his few treasured belongings. It was a cloak-like coat that he has worn since the beginning of his reign as Prince of the Void. It is a vivid purple coat, embellished with silvery designs and cuffs, and fastened together by a set of two ruby brooches held by silver twine. It has a hood attached to it that he often wears to conceal the top half of his face. Most know not where the jacket came from, only that Ringo has had it adjusted and restored multiple times since he started wearing it.

⌘Occupation: Second-In-Command of Team Void, He is known to be one of the most influential figures of Team Void. He is seen as a 'Prince' type figure amongst Void members, and is usually referred to as such. He was formerly the Champion of the Sinnoh Region
⌘Personality: Quiet and withdrawn, Ringo is not the type of person who takes a liking to social interactions. He is a very solitary person: the kind who is independent, and dislikes having to ask favors from others. He gets bored very easily because his interests are very select and particular, so it is rare to find him passionate about something. He is initially hard to approach and strike conversation with. One would have to know what to talk to him about in order to capture his attention and have him respond to it. He has a lot on his mind, so he feels as though his thoughts are better subjects of his attention than most other people. Otherwise, Ringo has come to care little about anything that doesn't directly concern him. His actions, clearly responses to a series of traumatic events of his past that have propelled an anger within him, are often masked behind his false apathy. He has departed his emotional connection to anyone, or any creature, that isn't his Pokemon or his sister. This stems from the belief that he was put onto this Earth solely to overthrow his father's work, and that he would be hated for it.
Ringo was once reckless, but eager to take on his life as a Pokemon trainer. He had little intentions in ever getting involved with Team Void. After he was mauled to near-death and left behind to die by the orders of his own father, he vowed that he would take on Team Void and devise a mutiny. He saw the evil in his father, but refused to believe that what Team Void was doing was equally as evil. His own desires to create the next generation center around far safer methods of fusion, even though it would be still frowned upon by many. In order to carry through with his father's wishes, he has forced himself to remove his sympathy for anything. As he grew older, this mentality became less abstract and more concrete. Apart from this, Ringo is extremely lonely. He holds strict standards for anyone he seeks companionship with. He does not befriend his associates mostly because his intentions are to get rid of them since he believes they trap him in their own way. He bears strong overprotective tendencies regarding his younger sister.
He is a quick mover, adjusting to newer changes in strategy as he goes. He moves more on instinct, disliking the idea of planning beforehand. Because he is adept in what he does, he can work well with combat based scenarios. Unless he has specifically been challenged to traditional Pokemon battling, he will fight alongside his Pokemon. His firm belief that the trainer should fight alongside their Pokemon has actually resulted in him killing other trainers that have opposed him.

⌘Life Story: Taichi Maruyama's sinister tendencies did not only leave a mark on the region, but within his own family. His actions caused the extreme divide that scattered the Maruyamas.
Ringo was born, named Kira, to Taichi and Nora Maruyama. Taichi, his father, was an incredible political figure who closely involved himself in the machinations of Kalos and Sinnoh government. He currently leads Team Void, which has its primary Headquarters stationed in Sinnoh. Nora, Ringo's mother, was also a political figure. She was an incredible scientist known for her knowledge on the elements of evolving Pokemon. She was a spokesperson for various educational Pokemon groups, and came from an influential family that was well loved by those who associated with them. While many believed their love to be genuine, a closer examination would reveal that Taichi's version of love was more a possessive desire for Nora as an object. As a result, when he lost interest in her, he was perfectly comfortable with her eventual death.
From the beginning, Ringo was cast into the world of learning about Pokemon. His mother would spend often hours teaching him about the evolutions, showing him fascinating pictures and graphs. He fell in love with the idea that these creatures were capable of such amazing things, but was influenced by his father's desire to interfere with nature. Taichi was fairly abusive, very rough with how he expressed himself to Ringo. In the position where Nora was in, where she would easily lose her children should she speak out, she found herself trapped. Taichi wanted a specific way in which the household would be run, and anyone that deviated from it would be punished. While they lived in a beautiful mansion, it was nothing comfortable. One year after Ringo was born, Terumi, his younger sister, joined the family. Nora knew all too-well that Taichi was too invested in trying to shape his son into the ideal person to lead his creation: Team Void. She kept Terumi to herself, living with the aching sensation that she had doomed her children by having them fathered by Taichi, and that Ringo had been claimed.
It was five years later, when Ringo was six years old, that he had received his first Pokemon. It was a Houndour, the Pokemon he had fell deeply in love with. He named the Houndour "Cerberus", and treated the pup with upmost care and love. The two formed a bond very quickly, as Ringo began to train Cerberus with what little knowledge he had on Pokemon training. Although Cerberus was a fairly respectful Pokemon, the pup had an issue with setting things on fire. It was the fact that Cerberus set part of Taichi's personal office on fire (months after Cerberus joined the family) that prompted Taichi to call Ringo for a sudden training session. Hidden well away in their basement, Taichi presented to Ringo the Pokemon fusion he had been working on- a horrendous glob of limbs all weirdly structured into a bear-like creature. Believing that this was a friendly training session with his father, Ringo accepted. Within the first attack, the bear had already mauled Cerberus, drawing blood and severely damaging the Pokemon. Horrified, Ringo ran to Cerberus's side, trying his best to stop the other Pokemon from attacking. The bear fusion slashed at Ringo, scarring him, and even worse- cutting his face with such severity that it cost Ringo his right eye. When his seven-year-old son lay bleeding on the floor, Taichi called for his fusion to stop attacking, he left Ringo behind with only the following words to say:
"Only someone that is weak would throw themselves in the way for sake of personal attachment. Learn from this."
It was Nora that heard Ringo's cries and called for immediate medical attention.
Filled with rage that Taichi would do that to her son, Nora made immediate plans to take his children away from him. In that instant, Taichi realized he had lost "possession" of his wife, which mean he would soon lose possession of his children. That was nothing he would allow. Only a few nights later, "Anti-Team Void activists" (or rather a squad of Taichi's men who posed as these activists), infiltrated the house and executed an assassination of Nora. They trapped the family into the house by setting it afire. In her desperate escape, she was pursued by the assassins throughout the entirety of the house. Nora found herself back in her bedroom, where her Pokemon had suffered massive injuries. Her Gallade- who had pried Terumi free from the hands of one of the assassins- hovered over the girl's unconscious body. With specific instruction, Nora asked the Gallade to teleport Terumi away to safety. The assassins extracted the body on Taichi's request, before Nora could be consumed by the flames- specifically so her death would be publicly known during her funeral. He wanted her family to look upon the face of their beloved deceased to send a message. This definitely rose speculations, but it was nothing that wasn't hushed away by Taichi's connections.
Meanwhile, Ringo had been left in the hospital. With Terumi missing, his childhood home gone, and stuck living in a scientific laboratory- Ringo found little reason to enjoy his situation any longer. He ran away as soon as he was discharged, changing his name from "Kira" to "Ringo" so that he would not be recognized. For a long period of time, he wore a hooded jacket.
Ringo's rise as a trainer took several years of training, hard work, and dedication. He found himself perfecting his skills and learning from various Sinnoh trainers. There was no place for him to really call home, as he moved from place to place without any assurance that he was wanted by anyone. He made no connections, and kept to his Pokemon. Taichi's voice was heard everywhere, on the news, on various radio talk shows- no matter how far Ringo ran he couldn't escape him. The crooked man spoke of how he had fallen victim to activists that ruined his family, killed his wife, stole his children away from him, leaving him with nothing. Ringo watched the world sympathize with Taichi, and felt himself getting more distant.
When he was in his early teens, he took the role of Champion of the Sinnoh region, challenging the Elite Four, as well as the Champion at the time, and succeeding. It was during his establishment as the Champion that his hood was lowered, and his face was revealed to the public. Of course, this grabbed the immediate attention of Taichi. Months later, Taichi found Ringo quite easily, asking his son to return back to the "kingdom" that he was rightfully to rule. Seeing this as an opportunity to get back at his father, and believing that he himself had nothing more worth working towards, Ringo took up the position as second-in-command with the intentions of overthrowing Taichi. In his several attempts to kill his father, he was thwarted by security. Taichi had Ringo undergo rigorous psychological treatments and regimens to condition his son to love him. Ringo feigned his love, altering his own personal motives to create his own Team Void that would be far greater than this corrupt nonsense his father created.
To this day, Ringo currently works as the head of Team Void's operations in Kalos (separated far from his father who still believes that Ringo might bear negative intent). Ringo is actively looking for his sister, to a point of near desperation, driven by the rumors from his scouts that a potential candidate for Terumi has been seen in the Kalos region as of recently.
